Abstract

The cosmetics industry in Indonesia is currently experiencing rapid growth, characterized by the increasing presence of both local and international brands, such as Laneige, which continues to gain popularity among consumers. This study aims to examine the relationship between brand image and Halal awareness in shaping consumer purchase intentions and decisions. A quantitative research approach with the proposed model being tested and validated through structural equation modeling based on data from 250 respondents. The findings indicate that both brand image and Halal certification have a significant influence on Indonesian consumers' adoption of cosmetic products. In light of these results, it is recommended that cosmetic business managers and brand owners promptly obtain Halal certification to alleviate any consumer confusion regarding product usage.

Abstract

Tranformasi bisnis digital merupakan strategi bisnis yang efektif dan juga mendapat perhatian karena perusahaan tertantang untuk terus meningkatkan praktik dan kemampuan bisnis mereka. Penggunaan teknologi digital dapat mengurangi pengaruh krisis eksternal dan dapat membuat perubahan besar dalam sebuah operasi bisnis dengan menerapkan bisnis yang baik dan sesuai prosedur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh adopsi teknologi digital dan value creation terhadap SME Performance pada UMKM café di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, proses pengumpulan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Teknik sampling non probability sampling. Penelitian ini di validasi menggunakan Teknik PLS-SEM dengan mempertimbangkan 297 responden yang merupakan karyawan UMKM Café di Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyabarkan kuesioner menggunakan google form dan SPSS 25.0 sebagai alat uji validitas dan reliabilitas serta hasil data diolah menggunakan software SmartPLS 3.0. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa mengadopsi teknologi digital memiliki beberapa dampak signifikan terhadap penciptaan nilai ekonomi dan nilai sosial bagi UMKM. Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa nilai sosial memiliki peran dan signifikan yang lebih baik dibandingkan nilai ekonomi.

Abstract

The technology industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth, creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship in a field called technopreneurship. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), which contribute 61% to Indonesia's GDP, are undergoing a transformation by integrating online platforms and industrial processes. As of 2021, Indonesia ranked 74th out of 137 countries, with an entrepreneurship rate of 3.47%. This study aims to explore how ICT self-efficacy and entrepreneurial learning influence the intention to pursue technopreneurship among engineering students in Bandung. By understanding these factors, the research seeks to identify key elements in the formation of technopreneurs in Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative research method, using surveys to gather data. The survey is designed based on factors that influence the entrepreneurial intensity of engineering students. The research involves 382 samples from various universities in Bandung. Data will be analyzed using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). The study tests three hypotheses, all of which show a positive and significant relationship between ICT self-efficacy, entrepreneurial learning, and technopreneurship intentions. The findings suggest that students with higher confidence in ICT and better entrepreneurial learning are more likely to have a strong intention to become technopreneurs. These results are expected to serve as a reference for universities in developing strategies to enhance technopreneurship interest among their students, contributing to the growth of the technopreneur ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to explore sustainable innovation within MSMEs in West Java, focusing on understanding, and driving factors. Utilizing a qualitative approach, we conducted interviews with 11 MSMEs from the food, beverage, and service sectors. Our findings indicate varying levels of awareness of sustainable innovation, with primary external drivers being market competition and consumer demand, while the internal driver is MSMEs decision. The study highlights the need for targeted support to enhance SME innovation capabilities, and emphasizing the role of continuous learning. These insights contribute to the broader knowledge of sustainable practices in MSMEs.

Abstract

Jumlah UMKM di Jawa Barat terus menunjukkan tingkat angka pertumbuhan yang baik. Namun, berbeda dengan pertumbuhan UMKM kategori siap ekspornya yang pertumbuhannya relatif lebih rendah. Untuk melakukan kegiatan internasionalisasi tentunya tidaklah mudah. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya serta pendapat beberapa ahli, dalam melakukan kegiatan internasionalisasi, UMKM di Indonesia masih menemui kendala, diantaranya terkait lemahnya kemampuan UMKM di Indonesia untuk mengetahui informasi terkait potensi pasar internasional, yang membuat para pelaku usaha enggan melakukan ekspansi yang berisiko. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan dengan indikator inovasi, proaktif dan pengambilan risiko terhadap kinerja internasionalisasi yang dimoderasi kemampuan kemitraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 175 sampel UMKM kategori siap ekspor binaan Dinas Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Provinsi Jawa Barat (DISKUK JABAR). Penelitian ini menggunakan SmartPLS 3.2.9 sebagai alat pengolahan data. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, didapati bahwa orientasi kewirausahaan pada UMKM kategori siap ekspor binaan DISKUK JABAR berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan kemitraan usahanya, lainnya kemampuan kemitraan dinilai mampu memoderasi orientasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja internasionalisasi dari UMKM kategori siap ekspor binaan DISKUK JABAR. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menyarankan agar peneliti selanjutnya mempertimbangkan untuk memperdalam objek dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan serta mempertimbangkan variabel pendukung lainnya, seperti teknologi dan lingkungan. Abstract

Entrepreneurshipis one of the driving factors ofthe country's economy. More entrepreneurs meanmore potential for new business areas and thus more employment to grow. The development of industrial revolution 4.0 encourages entrepreneurs to be techno- logical entrepreneurs to face increasing competition. It is important for the university, an educational institution, to produce graduates who can compete in the era of Industry4.0 and provide solutions to state problems such as poverty and unemployment. Hence, measuring students' intention to become a technopreneur is necessary to see whether the university can prepare its students to become technopreneur who will be useful for the country and society. This study aims to measure the influence of factors in academic's personal characteristics and academic's perceived support on the university students' intention to become technopreneur.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that emerged since 2020 forced MSMEs in Bandung City to find survival strategies amid economic pressures and changes in work routines that trigger stress. This study aims to identify the role of three self-management training practices, excessive workload, and attention to detail in influencing entrepreneurial stress, sense of security, and job satisfaction. The study used a quantitative method with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique and involved 408 respondents of MSME actors in Bandung City. The results of the analysis showed that workload and attention to detail had a significant effect on stress, sense of security, and job satisfaction. Meanwhile, exercise did not have a significant effect on stress. These findings contribute to the understanding of the importance of self-management in dealing with work pressure in the MSME sector. The implications of this study can be used as evaluation material for MSME actors in managing workload, increasing focus on detail, and reviewing the effectiveness of physical activity as an effort to reduce stress.

Abstract

The study investigates the role of entrepreneurial orientation, social media usage, and managerial ties in the performance of MSMEs in Surabaya City. MSMEs are vital for economic growth and job creation but often face challenges such as limited resources and technological adoption. The research aims to understand how entrepreneurial orientation impacts MSME performance directly and through social media usage and managerial ties. A quantitative approach was employed, using surveys to collect data from MSMEs in Surabaya, and statistical analysis was conducted to test the relationships between the variables. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial orientation does not directly enhance firm performance but significantly influences social media usage and managerial ties, both of which positively affect firm performance. Specifically, social media usage improves customer interaction and marketing, while strong managerial ties provide access to valuable resources. The study highlights the importance of leveraging social media and managerial relationships to improve MSME performance, suggesting that policymakers and business owners should focus on enhancing these areas to support MSME growth and sustainability. Further research is recommended to explore additional factors such as government support and funding access to provide deeper insights into SME performance dynamics.

Abstract

Abstract: The number of MSMEs in Bandung Regency will reach 17,755 in 2022. This shows that the interest of MSME business actors is quite high, but the numbers are stagnant based on existing data. If we look at the increase every year in terms of numbers, it is not certain that the quality level of MSMEs in Bandung Regency is good. With the increase every year, it is a good and positive thing or just an increase in numbers without looking at the quality and business performance of MSME business actors in Bandung Regency. This research aims to see how much influence entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation and total quality management have on the business performance of MSMEs in Bandung Regency. The method used in research on the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation and total quality management on MSME business performance in Bandung Regency is to use quantitative methods with descriptive objectives, individual analysis units, no data intervention by researcher involvement and cross sectional data collection methods. The sampling technique uses the Slovin/Yamane formula so that the sample size of 400 MSME business actors can be determined. Based on the research results, it is stated that entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation and total quality management have a positive effect on the business performance of MSMEs in Bandung Regency. The main factor that has a significant positive influence is total quality management on business performance.Keywords: Entrepreneurial Orientation; Market Orientation; Total Quality Management; Business Performance.Abstrak: Jumlah UMKM Kabupaten Bandung menyentuh angka 17.755 pada tahun 2022. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa minat para pelaku usaha UMKM sudah cukup tinggi namun terjadi angka yang stagnan berdasarkan data yang ada. Jika dilihat dari naiknya tiap tahun dalam segi angka, belum pasti menentukan bahwa tingkat kualitas UMKM di Kabupaten Bandung itu baik. Dengan naiknya tiap tahun itu menjadi hal yang baik dan positif atau hanya sekedar kenaikan angka tanpa melihat kualitas dan kinerja bisnis dari pelaku usaha UMKM di Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan, orientasi pasar dan manajemen kualitas total terhadap kinerja bisnis UMKM di Kabupaten Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan, orientasi pasar dan manajemen kualitas total terhadap kinerja bisnis umkm di Kabupaten Bandung adalah menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan tujuan deskriptif, unit analisis secara individu, keterlibatan peneliti tidak ada intervensi data dan metode pengumpulan data dengan cara cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin/yamane sehingga dapat diketahui jumlah sampel sebanyak 400 pelaku usaha UMKM. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa orientasi kewirausahaan, orientasi pasar dan manajemen kualitas total berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja bisnis UMKM di Kabupaten Bandung. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi signifikan positif yaitu manajemen kualitas total terhadap kinerja bisnis.Kata Kunci: Orientasi Kewirausahaan; Orientasi Pasar; Manajemen Kualitas Total; Kinerja Bisnis.
