Abstract

The study aims to determine how green design thinking and entrepreneurship concepts can be applied to fashion products made from recycled materials. This study uses a design thinking approach and a qualitative approach that aims to gain a deep understanding, develop theoretical foundations, and describe the reality of the research scope. The technique is in the form of collecting data from waste banks, garbage collectors, and several people who are competent in the fashion sector by conducting in-depth interviews. The combination of design thinking and green entrepreneurship can have a positive impact; problem-solving can be done through the design thinking stage to innovate in business while supporting the environmentally friendly movement. Products derived from "waste" generated by household consumption can be processed in such a way as to create selling value and be accepted by the community. Further research should consider seeking as many sources of information as possible, using appropriate tools, and studying every detail of the materials used. The findings of this study provide important insights into knowledge about design thinking and green entrepreneurship, as well as for those involved in product manufacturing. This research can also be a helpful tool in implementing knowledge about design thinking, green entrepreneurship, and the fashion sector. Keywords—Design Thinking; Eco-Fashion; Green Entrepreneurship

The phenomenon of Umrah worship is currently increasing, as evidenced by the large number of pilgrims who perform Umrah every year. The Umrah pilgrimage has also become a business phenomenon for many industries, including the travel and tourism industry. The Umrah pilgrimage travel agency has an important role in facilitating pilgrims in performing the Umrah pilgrimage by meeting their needs such as transportation, accommodation, and so on. Therefore, the increase in the phenomenon of the Umrah pilgrimage also affects the performance of bureaus organizing the Umrah pilgrimage. Based on data from the Ministry of Religion, there has been a significant increase in the number of bureaus organizing Umrah services in the province of South Sulawesi in 2020 by 46 bureaus. Entrepreneurial Marketing is the ability to develop innovative and effective marketing strategies. This can be an opportunity for Umrah travel agents in South Sulawesi Province to improve their performance and develop their business by observing this trend. In this study a correlative descriptive research method was used and 100 questionnaires with a five-point Likert scale were distributed among someone who worked at the Umrah travel agency in South Sulawesi province using the simple random sampling method. To analyze the data, structural equation modeling based on partial least squares was used using SmartPLS. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether Entrepreneurial Marketing has a positive and significant influence on the performance aspects of bureaus organizing Umrah travel in the province of South Sulawesi.

Abstract

In the service sector, there is a need for institutional arrangements to link knowledge, competency standards, professional recognition and industry needs to foster innovation capability building. This study aims to explore the potential of integrated professional certification to facilitate capability building in the sport and wellness higher education ecosystem in Indonesia, as a case study, acupressure sport massage certification. Data were gathered using semi-structured interviews with ten informants from professional certification bodies, competency certification institutions, training providers and higher education, as well as field observations, based on an exploratory qualitative case study. Thematic content analysis identifies four major problems: fragmented certification governance, inconsistent alignment of curriculum and competency standards, uneven certification infrastructure, and competing demands for speedy certification and credible quality assurance. The results indicate that certification should not be seen as a tool for employability alone, but as infrastructure for the institutionalization of academic learning into a standardized, assessed and recognized capability. The study extends the innovation capability building to an emerging service sector in an emerging country context, which adds to the STI policy and innovation management. Policy implications involve improving the cooperation between universities and certification bodies, linking the curricula to the national competency standards, defining the professional classification, and making the certification process accessible but challenging.

Abstract

The technology industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth, creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship in a field called technopreneurship. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), which contribute 61% to Indonesia's GDP, are undergoing a transformation by integrating online platforms and industrial processes. As of 2021, Indonesia ranked 74th out of 137 countries, with an entrepreneurship rate of 3.47%. This study aims to explore how ICT self-efficacy and entrepreneurial learning influence the intention to pursue technopreneurship among engineering students in Bandung. By understanding these factors, the research seeks to identify key elements in the formation of technopreneurs in Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative research method, using surveys to gather data. The survey is designed based on factors that influence the entrepreneurial intensity of engineering students. The research involves 382 samples from various universities in Bandung. Data will be analyzed using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). The study tests three hypotheses, all of which show a positive and significant relationship between ICT self-efficacy, entrepreneurial learning, and technopreneurship intentions. The findings suggest that students with higher confidence in ICT and better entrepreneurial learning are more likely to have a strong intention to become technopreneurs. These results are expected to serve as a reference for universities in developing strategies to enhance technopreneurship interest among their students, contributing to the growth of the technopreneur ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

The study investigates the role of entrepreneurial orientation, social media usage, and managerial ties in the performance of MSMEs in Surabaya City. MSMEs are vital for economic growth and job creation but often face challenges such as limited resources and technological adoption. The research aims to understand how entrepreneurial orientation impacts MSME performance directly and through social media usage and managerial ties. A quantitative approach was employed, using surveys to collect data from MSMEs in Surabaya, and statistical analysis was conducted to test the relationships between the variables. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial orientation does not directly enhance firm performance but significantly influences social media usage and managerial ties, both of which positively affect firm performance. Specifically, social media usage improves customer interaction and marketing, while strong managerial ties provide access to valuable resources. The study highlights the importance of leveraging social media and managerial relationships to improve MSME performance, suggesting that policymakers and business owners should focus on enhancing these areas to support MSME growth and sustainability. Further research is recommended to explore additional factors such as government support and funding access to provide deeper insights into SME performance dynamics.
