Abstract

This research was conducted in response to the rapid growth of the fashion industry subsector, intense business competition, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on businesses in the fashion industry. Teefees Collection is one of the fashion businesses in Manado, focusing on selling fashion products. They sell not only clothing products but also other accessory products. However, the Teefees Collection faced challenges such as declining sales, lack of engagement on social media, unattractive packaging design, and suboptimal marketing division performance. Design thinking was used as the method of approach in this research, consisting of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The goal of this research was to formulate marketing strategies using the design thinking method to increase sales for the Teefees Collection. This research used qualitative methods for data collection by interviewing both internal and external stakeholders of Teefees Collection. The findings provided recommendations regarding new packaging designs, promotional strategies such as Upload and Get Discount (UGD), e-card membership, mixed bundling, and discounts on special days. Moreover, this research also provided content planning for Instagram. It is also recommended for Teefees Collection's marketing division to take marketing training.

Abstract

The study aims to determine how green design thinking and entrepreneurship concepts can be applied to fashion products made from recycled materials. This study uses a design thinking approach and a qualitative approach that aims to gain a deep understanding, develop theoretical foundations, and describe the reality of the research scope. The technique is in the form of collecting data from waste banks, garbage collectors, and several people who are competent in the fashion sector by conducting in-depth interviews. The combination of design thinking and green entrepreneurship can have a positive impact; problem-solving can be done through the design thinking stage to innovate in business while supporting the environmentally friendly movement. Products derived from "waste" generated by household consumption can be processed in such a way as to create selling value and be accepted by the community. Further research should consider seeking as many sources of information as possible, using appropriate tools, and studying every detail of the materials used. The findings of this study provide important insights into knowledge about design thinking and green entrepreneurship, as well as for those involved in product manufacturing. This research can also be a helpful tool in implementing knowledge about design thinking, green entrepreneurship, and the fashion sector. Keywords—Design Thinking; Eco-Fashion; Green Entrepreneurship

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of internationalization on innovation performance through the mediating factors of market orientation and entrepreneurship in SMEs in emerging markets. The research involved 175 export-ready SMEs in the West Java Province, utilizing a quantitative methodology. The analysis in this study employed Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) and was processed using the SmartPLS software. Based on the findings of this research, it was determined that internationalization can influence innovation through the mediation of market orientation and entrepreneurship. Therefore, it is recommended for SMEs to recognize their unique value proposition by utilizing the value proposition design method. Abstract

This research aims to create a new innovation that can help MSME actors manage their finances by using financial reports in accordance with existing accounting standards as practically as possible and digitally based. This study uses a design thinking approach and a qualitative approach which aims to gain a deep understanding, develop theoretical foundations, and describe the reality of the research scope. The technique used is in the form of collecting data sourced from MSME actors in the city of Bandung. The results of this study contribute to knowledge about design thinking and entrepreneurship as well as for the parties involved, and most of the research samples said it would be helpful if this digital financial reporting platform was developed. Keywords: Design Thinking; Digital Financial Reporting; MSMEs; Accounting; Digital Platform Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan sebuah inovasi baru yang dapat membantu para pelaku UMKM dalam mengelola keuangannya dengan menggunakan laporan keuangan sesuai dengan standar akuntansi yang ada dengan sepraktis mungkin dan berbasis digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan design thinking dan pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam, mengembangkan dasar-dasar teori, serta mendeskripsikan realitas ruang lingkup penelitian. Teknik yang digunakan berupa pengumpulan data yang bersumber dari pelaku UMKM di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengetahuan mengenai design thinking dan kewirausahaan maupun bagi pihak-pihak yang terlibat, dan sebagian besar dari sampel penelitian ini mengatakan akan terbantu bila platform laporan keuangan digital ini dikembangkan. Abstract

Perkembangan industri menuju industri 4.0 dimana penggunaan teknologi menjadi elemen pendukung utama dalam pelaksanaan bisnis telah dirasakan juga di IKM kerajinan dan batik di Indonesia. Balai Besar Kerajinan dan Batik (BBKB), Kementerian Perindustrian pun selama ini cukup gencar dalam menyediakan pelatihan dan workshop untuk teknis produksi. Namun sayangnya, pelatihan mengenai digital marketing masih sangat terbatas yang berdampak pada kurangnya wawasan para pemilik Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) dalam memasarkan produknya. Maka dari itu, Universitas Telkom menugaskan seorang narasumber yang ahli di bidang digital marketing untuk membekali para pemilik IKM di industri kerajinan dan batik ini dalam menghadapi tantangan pemasaran di era industri 4.0. Dengan adanya acara ini, diharapkan para pemilik IKM dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuannya dalam memasarkan produknya melalui media social. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (Abdimas) ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 Oktober 2021 dengan memberikan seminar online melalui zoom yang dihadiri oleh 116 peserta yang terdiri dari pemilik IKM, perajin, akademisi, mahasiswa, PNS, dan pegiat industri kerajinan dan batik. Hasilnya mereka sangat menyukai materi yang disampaikan dan menginginkan sesi prakteknya dari materi digital marketing yang telah dibawakan.

Abstract

The existence of MSMEs in Indonesia has spread in various regions, one of which is the Cikarang area. Food Service Company is one of the businesses with high opportunities in Cikarang, PT Buana Boga Catering is a food service business in Cikarang that focuses on running catering for industrial employees, because this company prioritizes target consumers who are in the area around the Cikarang Industrial Estate. PT Buana Boga Catering must continue to innovate in order to survive from existing competitors. The purpose of this study is to analyze the company's development strategy and provide recommendations for new business strategies to create new value that can help PT Buana Boga Catering maintain its business. In this study the authors used the Mix Method research method, namely, utilizing qualitative methods together with quantitative methods, using SWOT analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process to evaluate it. Based on the research conducted, the results show that there are several alternative business development strategies with the main priority being the use of alternative raw materials that are more suitable in terms of price and availability so as to maintain production costs and increase profits.

Abstract

Technology and innovation are increasingly becoming the key elements for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to achieve sustainable growth. However, policies related to technology and innovation in SMEs are rarely found which might be due to the limited access to financial support and organizational capability. In the case of creative industry, where cultural aspect plays an important role in some sectors, technology and innovation are often a contradiction with the cultural value. This study aims to explore the current discussion on technology and innovation policy between 2015 – 2024 in the Scopus database and provide an agenda for future research. The 15 articles selected mainly focus on SMEs in emerging countries that take culture into consideration. The study used a systematic literature review (SLR) and the articles are descriptively analyzed based on publication year, source title, subject area, and research methods. The articles are categorized into four themes namely technology, culture, innovation, and sustainability. The result shows that none of the relevant articles included in this study discussed cultural value in their technology and innovation policy recommendations. Future research directions are given and discussed, guiding researchers toward the most pressing and impactful aspects of the investigation.

Abstract

Masjid Izzatul Mu'minin (MIM) di Lembang baru terlepas dari stagnansi pengelolaan dengan hadirnya pengurus baru. Ketua DKM baru hadir dengan visi baru untuk menjadikan MIM masjid makmur. Meskipun banyak rintangan, perbaikan signifikan terlihat dari berbagai kegiatan termasuk Rumah Pendidikan Quran (RPQ) anak-anak yang telah mempunyai 50 santri dalam waktu singkat. Namun, untuk pengembangan masjid lebih lanjut, termasuk pengembangan RPQ, MIM memerlukan tambahan kompetensi manajemen stratejik. Sehubungan hal tersebut, tujuan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah mendukung RPQ MIM untuk terus berkembang melalui Pelatihan dan Pendampingan. Metode utama PkM adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilaksanakan tim FEB Telkom University (Tel-U) kepada pengajar dan pengurus RPQ MIM. PkM juga membenahi sarana kelas. Evaluasi hasil PkM dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan kuesioner. PkM menghasilkan perumusan 10 strategi pengembangan RPQ dengan prioritasnya. Sarana kelas bertambah 2 papan tulis dan 30 meja anak. Kegiatan ini telah memberikan perubahan signifikan dalam strategi pengembangan RPQ. Secara keseluruhan, hasil PkM sangat diapresiasi juga oleh RPQ MiM dan masyarakat sekitar

Abstract

This research aims to increase sales at Twenty-One Autos by using a Design Thinking approach, chosen for its ability to deeply understand consumer needs and expectations. This approach is relevant for creating solutions that are more responsive to the challenges faced by consumers, with a focus on improving their satisfaction and experience, which directly impacts sales growth and the company’s competitiveness. The study employs a qualitative approach with the Design Thinking method, involving data collection through in-depth interviews and direct observations of consumers at Twenty-One Autos. The Design Thinking process is carried out through the Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing phases. Through the Empathy stage, this research identifies various issues faced by consumers when purchasing used cars, including limited unit variations, complex credit processes, and suboptimal online shopping experiences. By analyzing the insights gained, the study formulates solutions to address these problems, such as adding unit variations, simplifying the credit process, and enhancing promotions and online sales to reach a wider audience. In the Ideate and Prototype stages, this research develops a digital platform that integrates various features to meet consumer needs, including unit variations, a simpler credit system, and more efficient online sales. Testing of this prototype shows that the implemented solutions are effective in improving sales conversions and customer satisfaction. The findings provide valuable insights into how consumer-based strategies can improve business operations, expand market share, and enhance the company’s competitiveness in the automotive industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas dampak penerapan Smart Mobility melalui aplikasi Trans Semarang terhadap kepuasan masyarakat dalam konteks transportasi umum. Fokus utama adalah mengevaluasi bagaimana teknologi transportasi, terwujud dalam aplikasi tersebut, memberikan kontribusi pada kemudahan akses, efisiensi perjalanan, dan tingkat kepuasan pengguna. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan menyebar kuesioner kepada masyarakat yang berada di Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Trans Semarang berhasil meningkatkan kualitas layanan transportasi umum, menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih efisien, dan menghasilkan tingkat kepuasan masyarakat yang lebih tinggi dalam hal mobilitas perkotaan.
