Abstract

Wisata religi merupakan salah satu andalan produk wisata Jatim. Di Jatim, yang merupakan basis Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), wisata religi di kawasan Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes) Tebuireng, Jombang, menjadi ikon sekaligus pusat tujuan peziarah. Uniknya, pemakaman di Ponpes Tebuireng, dengan tiga tokoh ulama terkemuka sekaligus pahlawan nasional, KH. Hasyim Asy’ari, KH Wahid Hasyim, dan putranya, KH. Abdurrahman Wahid, semakin menggeliat dan dikenal luas sebagai tujuan wisata ziarah pasca dimakamkannya Presiden RI ke-5, Gus Dur, di sana. Singkatnya, wisata ziarah di makam area dalam Ponpes Tebuireng ini memiliki ikon Gus Dur. Sebagai tujuan wisata ziarah, para peziarah yang tidak hanya umat beragama Islam, tetapi juga wisatawan umum lintas agama, sebagaimana kisah hidup Gus Dur yang dikenal pula sebagai tokoh utama dan simbol perdamaian di tengah keberagaman, destinasi wisata ziarah di makam Gus Dur menjadi ikon wisata ziarah di Jatim melengkapi makam Walilimo. Pendekatan penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengidentifikasi wisata ziarah di makam Gus Dur. Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk memberikan referensi akademis untuk mengelola Ponpes Tebuireng beserta aset ketokohan bangsa dalam diri para ulama NU yang dimakamkan di dalamnya. Penelitian wisata ziarah ini juga menjadi wahana untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan para peziarah, sekaligus memperbaiki aspek-aspek kritis yang dibutuhkan para peziarah dalam ritual peziarahan mereka. Di masa depan, ziarah makam Gus Dur dan para ulama NU di area Ponpes Tebuireng, termasuk Ponpes Tebuireng itu sendiri, diharapkan menjadi ikon destinasi wisata religi di Nusantara.

Abstract

Eksistensi sektor informal di perkotaan sebagian besar mengalami keterancaman dari penggusuran yang dilakukan pemerintah daerah. Di sisi lain, realitas keberadaan sektor informal di perkotaan sulit diredam. Kepariwisataan dapat menjadi sarana untuk mengakomodir dan menyelamatkan keberadaan sektor informal di satu sisi, dan di sisi lain menguntungkan sektor pariwisata setempat. Studi pada PKL di Surabaya menyimpulkan: 1) Keberadaan sektor informal yang dikemas secara resmi oleh pemerintah sebagai destinasi wisata kuliner menunjukkan fakta lain di mana PKL meskipun dikategorikan sebagai sektor informal tetapi dapat memberikan kontribusi kepada kota dan mendapatkan keuntungan langsung dari dinamika kepariwisataan; 2) Pola pengembangan kepariwisataan dengan pendekatan community-based tourism menjadi solusi sekaligus kontribusi sektor pariwisata dalam pemenuhan hak ekonomi PKL.

Abstract

The spread of the Covid 19 Virus originating from China has made the world finally declare that this virus has become a pandemic status. One of the industries that have had a bad impact on the spread of this virus is tourism. Tour and Travel service providers that is struggling to survive this pandemic is ATS Tour and Travel. The problem experienced by the ATS Tour and Travel company today is the adjustment of the marketing strategy that will be used in the era of the pandemic that is affecting the world today. With these problems, the research was conducted qualitatively by interviewing 10 informants who were deemed to be representative to answer the problems that occurred during the Covid 19 pandemic. The results showed that in the indicators of crisis stages, ATS Tour and Travel had taken steps in all stages crisis well. In the indicator of disaster management, ATS Tour and Travel have also made its best efforts to prevent the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this includes health protocols that have been implemented, warning systems by only opening tourism in the green zone, informative media about Covid and tourist attractions that are not can be visited, disaster management by working with local guides and porters for site security and coordination. In the marketing strategy, it can be seen that currently, the target market for ATS Tour and Travel is changing, which initially served tour packages for foreign countries, is now starting to increase the domestic market.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has a negative impact on the tourism and hospitality sector, one of which is PrimeBiz Hotel Surabaya (PHS). The lack of income for the hotel forces hotel management to think creatively and make the right decisions to maintain hotel operations. This study aims to describe the strategies that PHS has implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method was carried out qualitatively, the data were obtained through structured interviews with key informants from management, marketing experts, hospitality experts and PHS consumers. The conclusion of this study are; first, the Covid-19 pandemic makes PHS management have to weigh income and expenditure to be balanced. Second, the marketing strategy implemented by PHS is to maximize the use of social media for all employees. Third, the strategy carried out by PHS is to continue to implement a multitasking system, employees must be able to innovate and make adjustments to conditions that occur in the future. Abstract

Agrowisata terdiri dari lima daya tarik wisata : kebun raya, perkebunan, tanaman pangan dan hortikultura, perikanan, dan pertanian. Penelitian deskriptif ini berdasarkan data sekunder yang diambil dari berbagai sumber literatur dan penelitian terkait, seperti penelitian agrowisata di kota Batu, Kabupaten Malang, dan Kabupaten Pasuruan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menemukan upaya mengintegrasikan dan memperkuat destinasi agrowisata di beberapa daerah di Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan pentingnya membangun sinergi, komunikasi, dan koordinasi di antara pengelola agrowisata di berbagai daerah. Dengan begitu diharapkan memperkuat citra destinasi agrowisata di Jawa Timur.

Abstract

Alternative tourism and ecotourism find their relevance in changing travel patterns in the next normal era. Both enable tourism trips that have a positive impact on the growth of the quality of life of tourists and hosts, as well as the quality of the environment and cultural conservation that are the destinations of travel. Ecotourism is a way for alternative tourism to be increasingly recognized and become the answer, when tourist travel turns to a small scale, considering the capacity of tourist destinations and the welfare of local communities. This article is based on qualitative data obtained through interviews and in-depth observations related to the implementation of alternative tourism managed by local communities as well as Forest Conservation Groups in ecotourism destinations in Mendiro Hamlet, Panglungan Village, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency, East Java Province. Wonosalam is not only known for its durian commodities but has many springs, conservation forests, and Biodiversity Parks. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of alternative tourism in Wonosalam. This study concludes that the concept of alternative tourism finds its relevance to ecotourism practices in Wonosalam through observation of springs, jungle tracking, river crossings, birdwatching which is done on a small scale, and the attraction of tourist villages located on the border of conservation forests. The ownership and management of this tourist village are entirely local.

Abstract

Indonesia has not been spared from the Covid-19 virus outbreak. The presence of this pandemic has impacted all economic activity, including tourism. Currently, Indonesia is adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing the New Normal. To gain the trust of tourists to vacation during the New Normal, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) issued a health protocol named CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, & Environment Sustainability). This protocol is aimed at the tourism sector as well as Indonesia's creative economy which will be operating during the pandemic. However, even though the CHSE protocol has been implemented, many people are still hesitant to return to using hotel facilities. Therefore, this study focuses on examining the implementation of CHSE to regain customer trust during the pandemic. This study used a qualitative method with PrimeBiz Hotel Surabaya as the object of research.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines and analyzes the potential development of bird wing butterfly breeding based on community involvement factors, surrounding destinations, and the strategies provided. Research methods: The method used is descriptive qualitative, data mining with interview and direct observation techniques. Findings: The breeding of the bird-wing butterfly (Ornitophera Paradisea) is an effort to conserve rare animals that are only found in eastern Indonesia, especially in the Arfak Mountains. The location of bird's wing butterfly breeding is in the District of Menyambouw, Manokwari, West Papua. Birdwing butterfly breeding initially became a tourist attraction by one of the private sectors. However, due to several factors, the preservation and the villa could not survive and the owner decided to close the operation by delegating the preservation to the local community as managers with an ecotourism approach. Implication: It is important to formulate a strategy for developing birdwing butterfly breeding destinations through partnerships for investment and the establishment of networks between tourist destinations.

Abstract

The cultivation of local cultural values through the Panji course at the Tourism Studies Program, Ciputra University Surabaya, has been running since 2015 until now. This study aims to describe the millennial perspective on the benefits of Panji's course in daily life and future work. The research method is qualitatively using thematic analysis. The research results show that the informants of this study were students who took the Panji course for one semester and Panji's expert as a validator. The conclusions of this study are as firstly, Panji inspires positive values that are relevant in today's life; second, Panji is a spirit that inspires future work, both as professionals and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector. It is hoped that the Panji Millennial Perspective is useful for youth regarding the Benefits of College.

Abstract

The development of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BTSNP) can be done by looking at the tourism experience of Generation Z. The subject of this research is Generation Z (Gen Z). The main problem in this investigate is how the involvement of Gen Z traveling in BTSNP. This study points to describe the experience of Gen Z tourists in BTSNP. This investigate was conducted employing a subjective approach with information collection strategies, specifically interviews and writing. The conclusion of this study is BTSNP has succeeded in fulfilling tourist experience and tourist satisfaction for Gen Z tourists. The value of the research conducted is to identify the needs and experiences of Gen Z tourists as a market for the present and the future of tourism. Keywords:  Tourist experience, tourist satisfaction, Gen Z
