Abstract

Reality shows that there are problems in education sociology lecturing process. Amount of discussion about social interaction in sociology education is expected in Higher Education Level, namely social interaction between lecturers and students and between students and students. This study discusses about the role of lecturers in developing material to improve social interaction, developing verbal and written communication through communication media, the role of lecturers in developing sosial interaction at education sociology lecturing process. This study uses qualitative method. Data are collected by participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentation techniques. Analysis techniques use data analysis in sites and cross sites. The results show that lecturers develop materials to improve student social interaction, lecturers develop verbal or written communication through discussions related to constraints students, and evaluating through paper assignments, journal making and directing students to the community.

Abstract

There are many phenomena of gadget users nowadays ranging from children to adults, if the use of gadgets is not controlled properly it will cause cases of cyberbullying, which will make teenagers in the future more vulnerable to bullying in cyberspace. This research was encouraged because there was data on an increase in cyberbullying from field data and news. The purpose of this study was to obtain correct information, to determine the effect of self-control on adolescent cyberbullying, the sample of this study was adolescents aged 13-18 years with a total of 384 respondents. The research measurement tools are the self-control scale and the cyberbullying scale. This study uses a comparative causal quantitative with a simple regression analysis technique using SPSS 23 For Windows. Based on the research results, it is known that there is a significant influence between self-control and cyberbullying with a value of p = 0.000 <0.05, with a value of R = 0.287.

Abstract

Long-distance marriage has several risks, but some couples decide to undergo this condition for various reasons, one of which is their work career. This research aims to look at employee engagement among female lecturers in long-distance marriages by using social support as a predictor and religiosity as a mediator. This research uses a quantitative approach with a simple mediation analysis. The population in this study were female lecturers who were in long-distance marriages for at least one-year. There were 54 participants in this study using total sampling who had undergone a long-distance marriage. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale containing four answer choices. The instruments in this study used adaptations of the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), Centrality of Religious Scale (CRS) and Employee Engagement Scale (EES). Data were analyzed using regression analysis. Meanwhile, the research results show a direct effect of social support on employee engagement and the influence of religiosity on employee engagement. These results show that religiosity is a partial mediator of employee engagement. This study suggests that female lecturer who undergoes a long-distance marriage can reach their best career when they get support from any circle she has and upgrade their religiosity. This study also showed if religiosity could have an effect on increasing employee engagement as a responsibility for the job.

Abstract

Forgiveness is turning negative things into positive ones for someone who has caused pain to themselves. Forgiveness can be applied to improve the quality of life and maintain psychological well-being by avoiding harboring excessive anger and disappointment. Based on previous research, it is stated that forgiveness can make individuals feel well-being in their lives, away from feelings of revenge and disappointment. In contrast, one of the factors that can influence forgiveness is self-compassion. This research was conducted to scientifically examine the relationship between self-compassion and forgiveness in teenage victims of divorce in Indramayu. The sample used was 350 teenagers with divorced parents and was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments for collecting data in this research used self-compassion and forgiveness scales. Data analysis uses Pearson product moment correlation analysis. The results of data analysis show a correlation coefficient of 0.511 with a value of p = 0.000 (p<0.05), which shows a significant relationship between self-compassion and forgiveness in teenage divorce victims in Indramayu and has a positive relationship direction.
