Abstract

This research aims to determine the efficiency level of using level books media in improving the reading fluency of students who struggle with reading at Teladan Binjai Private Elementary School. This qualitative study utilizes data collection techniques through documentation and observation involving 10 respondents who are non-readers from Grade I to Grade VI. The focus of this research is on implementing the Demonstrative Learning Method for Illiterate Children with Level Book Learning Media. The findings of this study indicate that students can learn to read with high enthusiasm and eagerness using the demonstration method with level books as learning media. Students are able to gradually read using this learning media. This implies that this learning media is effective in addressing illiteracy. Overall, the results of this research demonstrate that the use of level books media in education has a positive effect on the reading fluency of students who struggle with reading. Therefore, this research highlights the importance of integrating level book learning media in the learning process to assist students in overcoming illiteracy and enhancing their reading skills.

Abstract

This study was conducted with a qualitative approach aimed at understanding individual perspectives, identifying and describing processes, and exploring limited research topics or backgrounds with detailed information. The background of this topic selection is to measure the level of sexual knowledge of adolescents in Medan, analyze their behavior patterns, and analyze the relationship of sexual behavior with the level of sexual knowledge of adolescents. This study used a type of qualitative research that was descriptive. The study subjects used in this study were all adolescents in Tuntungan Medan. Researchers choose purposive sampling methods when selecting research subjects. The data collection techniques used in this study was the spread of questionnaires and the data collection tools used were questionnaires or questions. Research results show that some teens are already pregnant with sexual knowledge, but some teens lack sufficient knowledge. The consequence of this is that adolescents can commit reckless sexual behavior, such as premarital sex with their spouses. Therefore, it is important to provide comprehensive sex education to adolescents, covering aspects such as body anatomy, reproductive health, and sexual knowledge. In addition, adolescents have access to accurate and reliable information about sex through school education, access to reliable information sources, and open communication between adolescents and their parents.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Pancasila education due to the lack of innovation in the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to develop interactive SAC learning media on the subject of building identity in diversity to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. This study is a 4D model Research and Development applied at SDN 057224 Paluh Gusta. The data used came from questionnaires for experts on material, media and language for feasibility, questionnaires on practicality from teachers, and tests for student learning outcomes. The results showed that the interactive SAC media for building identity in diversity had a material expert feasibility rating of 90%, classified as ‘Very Good’, a media expert rating of 92%, classified as ‘Very Good’ and 91% classified as ‘Very Good’ for language experts, while the level of practicality obtained was 93% classified as ‘Very Practical’. Student learning outcomes improved from a pre-test score of 65 to a post-test score of 90, and the gain test result was 0.714, which is ‘Very High’. Therefore, the interactive learning media SAC material on building identity in diversity that was developed is appropriate and valid and is able to improve student learning outcomes. Applying this interactive learning media SAC in the learning process in the classroom will make the learning atmosphere even better and more effective, and this study contributes greatly to the development of technology in education today.

Abstract

This study was driven by the low critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in Pancasila Education at SDN 101854 Sei Mencirim. The issue stems from lecture-based teaching and the use of conventional worksheets (LKPD), which limit students’ practice in higher-order thinking tasks. This is reflected in daily test results on the Constitution and Norms in Society topic, where most students failed to meet the Minimum Competency Standard (KKM). Therefore, this research aims to develop a computational-based worksheet and evaluate its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D model, including the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results indicate that the computational-based worksheet, with its stages of decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm, is valid, practical, and effective. Expert validation increased, namely material experts. from 76% to 90.6%, language experts from 68.8% to 92.8%, and media experts from 77.3% to 94%. Teachers' practicality reached an average of 88.5% (very practical). Effectiveness was evident in the increase in the average pretest score from 61 to 80.16 on the posttest, exceeding the Minimum Completion Level (KKM) of 70. Therefore, this Student Worksheet (LKPD) is suitable for use as an alternative learning medium to improve students' critical thinking skills.
