Abstract

The aim of this research is "to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects using the Cooperative Script method in Class V of State Elementary School 1 Kaobula". This research is a type of classroom action research which consists of two cycles, where each cycle consists of two meetings. The type of data in this research is quantitative data obtained through learning results tests and qualitative data obtained through observation sheets. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the application of the cooperative script method could improve student learning outcomes in fairy tale material for Class V students at State Elementary School 1 Kaobula. Pre-cycle the average value of learning outcomes is 54.76 and completeness of learning is 23.80%, cycle I the average value of learning outcomes is 65.47 and completeness of learning is 47.61% and cycle II the average value of learning outcomes is 77.38 and learning completeness 85.71%.

Abstract

Upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran mahasiswa tentang pentingnya etika penulisan dalam konteks akademik. Selain kesenjangan dalam aspek teknis penulisan, masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam pemahaman konsep-konsep dasar yang menjadi landasan dari karya tulis ilmiah. Faktor lingkungan juga berperan dalam mempengaruhi minat baca dan keterampilan menulis mahasiswa. Ketika lingkungan sekitar tidak mendorong atau bahkan menghargai kegiatan membaca dan menulis, mahasiswa cenderung kurang termotivasi untuk melakukannya. Terlebih lagi, jika kurikulum pendidikan kurang memberikan perhatian pada pengembangan literasi, baik membaca maupun menulis, maka hal ini dapat menyulitkan mahasiswa untuk memperoleh kemampuan tersebut secara memadai. Metode yang diterapkan dalam Seminar Penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah bertujuan untuk membentuk mahasiswa menjadi individu yang memiliki kecakapan intelektual yang mendalam serta kebiasaan membaca yang berwawasan luas. Kegiatan seminar ini tidak hanya fokus pada pelatihan keterampilan menulis, tetapi juga memperkuat fondasi pembacaan yang kuat. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam Seminar Penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah untuk membentuk mahasiswa intelektual yang memupuk minat baca dan keterampilan menulis: 1) Pelatihan Keterampilan Menulis; 2) Diskusi; 3) Sesi Pembacaan dan Analisis; dan 4) Mentoring Individual.

Abstract

Improving Reading Comprehension Skills in Short Story Reading Material Through the Skimming Method for Class V Students of Elementary School State 1 Kaobula. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Buton. This research is a Classroom Action Research. Subjects of totaling 23 students. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. How to improve reading comprehension skills on short story reading material through the skimming method of fifth grade students at Elementary School State 1 Kaobula? Purpose is improve reading comprehension skills on short story reading material through the skimming. Prior to using the skimming method,8 students (34.8%) completed grades with an average score of 50.61 and then experienced an increase in cycles I and II with 13 students completing grades. (56.5%) with an average value of 67.82. Cycle II with the acquisition of data on student scores that were completed as many as 19 students (82.6%) average value of 82.4. Skimming method can improve reading comprehension skills in short story reading material for fifth grade students of Elementary School State 1 Kaobula.

Abstract

Kajian studi pustaka ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis berbagai metode pengajaran cerita rakyat yang telah dikembangkan dan diterapkan dalam pendidikan sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis berbagai metode pengajaran cerita rakyat yang telah diterapkan di sekolah dasar, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas metode-metode tersebut dalam mengembangkan karakter, keterampilan literasi, dan pemahaman budaya siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka (library research). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, dan mensintesis berbagai literatur yang relevan mengenai metode pengajaran cerita rakyat di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan metode pengajaran cerita rakyat dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar menawarkan potensi besar untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan pembentukan karakter. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti kurangnya pelatihan guru dan sumber daya, pendekatan ini dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam mengajarkan nilai-nilai moral dan budaya kepada siswa. Dengan dukungan yang memadai melalui pelatihan dan pengembangan kurikulum yang relevan, metode ini dapat memperkaya pengalaman belajar dan mendukung pertumbuhan karakter siswa secara holistik.

Abstract

PowerPoint is not only a teacher's tool, but also a learning tool that supports the development of 21st century skills in students. The effectiveness of using PowerPoint media in learning Indonesian in Elementary Schools has proven to be quite significant in improving the quality of the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effectiveness of Using PowerPoint Media in Learning Indonesian in Elementary Schools. Qualitative research methods that aim to describe the use of PowerPoint media in learning Indonesian by fourth grade teachers at SD Negeri 1 Batulo. Qualitative research was chosen because it allows researchers to explore in depth the learning process, material delivery strategies, and interactions that occur between teachers and students during learning. The results of the study showed that the use of PowerPoint media in learning Indonesian in fourth grade at SD Negeri 1 Batulo has proven to be effective in improving students' understanding and interest in learning. Attractive and interactive visual displays help students focus more and understand the material better. In addition, PowerPoint allows teachers to deliver material more systematically and efficiently, creating a more enjoyable learning atmosphere. Thus, the use of PowerPoint as a learning medium is an effective strategy in improving the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning motivation is an important factor that influences students' success in the educational process, especially at the elementary school level. This study aims to determine how the conditions of the school and family environments affect students’ learning motivation. A conducive school environment and positive family support are believed to enhance students’ enthusiasm and willingness to learn. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale, which was distributed to students in grades IV, V, and VI. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability before being used for data collection. The results of the study show a significant relationship between the conditions of the school and family environments and the level of students’ learning motivation. A safe, clean school environment and harmonious relationships with teachers and peers positively impact students' motivation. Similarly, parental attention in supporting children’s learning at home serves as an essential supporting factor. In conclusion, students’ learning motivation is generally influenced by two main factors: a supportive school environment and a family that provides consistent attention and encouragement.
