Abstract

Durian is a fruit native to southeast asia plants were asked to become king of tropical fruit and has been recognized as the native species of the archipelago. Durian crop development in the region have great hope in order to improve the economy of rural communities. This research aims to know land suitability for Durian plant in Subdistrict of Mungkajang Palopo City. In taking sample use purposive sampling method. The point in talking sample is determined by a map of land units. The analysis technical data by using matching method.  Results from this research that, of the 9 land units in the study area has two land suitability clasess, namely the research refers that suitable of marginal (S3) spread in 5 units land width it is 2619,6 Ha the units land are D2,III, Kbc,La; D1,II, Htn,Li; D2,II, Kbc,La; D2,I, Kbc,La; and D2,I, Swh,Al and for suitability class is not suitable (N) spread in 4 units land width it is 1130 Ha the units land are D1,IV, Htn,Li; D2,IV, Htn,La; D1,V, Htn,Li; and D2,V, Htn,La. Conclusions land suitability classes durian cultivation in the subdistrict of Mungkajang that is suitable of marginal (S3) spread in 5 units land and not suitable (N) spread in 4 units land. Heaviest limiting factor is temperature, rainfall, slope, and the effective depth of the soil.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: 1 Perceptions of student competency) professional teachers; 2) student learning outcomes; 3) influence the perceptions of students on the professional competence of teachers towards learning outcomes students. This research is the research of ex post facto. Free variables i.e. perception of students on the professional competence of teachers and variable is the result of student learning. Student population of Class XI IPS amounted to 49 students, samples taken 100% is 49 students. The collection of data through observation, question form and the documentation value of Deuteronomy daily student. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and inferensial correlation coefficients of determination of Moment, Product, test data, test the normality and simple linear regression linearity. The results showed that: 1) perceptions of students on the professional competence of teachers having an average score of 3.13 percentage with 78.25% higher categories include; student learning outcome 2) has an average of 3.18 with a percentage of 79.5% categories include enough; 3) inferensial analysis results obtained r_hitung (0.511) greater than r_tabel (0,281) with 5% error level. It can be concluded that the perceptions of students on professional competence teachers influential significantly to student learning outcomes of 26.1% and regression equation á»¶ = 55.639 + 0.476 X can be used in prediction of the level of perception of students on professional competence teachers learn if the result is raised or lowered.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: 1) Overview of the socio-economic life of the copra workers’ household, 2) How much the contribution of copra workers toward the household income in Kalaotoa village. The technique of analysis data was used is descriptive statistics to describe the socio-economic life and the contribution of copra workers.The results showed that: 1) The average of copra workers that had married at the rate 58.62 percent, workers who had graduated from senior high school level was 42.56 percent, workers who had graduated from junior high school  was 28.82 percent, workers who had graduated from elementary school  was 16.04 percent, workers who had not graduated from elementary school  was 9.13 percent, and the lowest rate is the worker who had graduated from college as much as 3.55 percent. The Income had earned from occupation as copra worker as much of 960.000 rupiah/month, expenditures of copra workers in a month is as much of 731.000 rupiah,. household members of copra workers at the rate of 43.61 percent consists of 1-3 people, 4-6 people at the rate of 31.03 percent, and the lowest is 7-9 people at the rate of 25.36 percent, while the number of copra workers’ dependency were 3-5 people at the rate of 42.55 percent, 0-2 people at the rate of 39.06 percent, and 6-8 people only at the rate of 18.39 percent. Meanwhile, the working hours did not affect the household income of copra workers because they whom worked half day were from the same household dependency. 2) The contributions of copra workers toward household income in Kalaotoa village indicates that the contribution of copra workers on household income is as much as 10.04 percent/month.
