Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-book on the theme of Indonesian National Heroes in the spotlight of history, utilizing the Android Studio platform as a technology-based learning medium. This e-book is designed to provide an interactive, informative, and easily accessible learning experience for students and the general public. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), which adapts the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. In the analysis stage, user needs related to historical materials and supporting technology were identified. The design stage involved creating a storyboard and e-book layout to ensure the content presented was in line with the curriculum and visually appealing. Development was carried out by utilizing Android Studio features, such as multimedia integration (text, images, videos) to enhance user understanding. A limited trial was conducted on high school students, followed by an evaluation to measure the application's effectiveness and appeal. The results showed that this e-book successfully met the needs of digital-based learning and received a positive response from users. This e-book was considered easy to use, informative, and capable of increasing interest in learning history, particularly about the important role of national heroes in the Indonesian struggle. Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has transformed the business landscape, including the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. Digital technology opens up significant opportunities for MSMEs to increase their competitiveness through broader and more efficient promotion and marketing. However, in Ogan Baru Village, Palembang City, MSMEs still face challenges in optimally utilizing this technology, particularly due to limited access to promotions. This research aims to develop a digital-based information system designed to promote MSME products while addressing the need for easy-to-use and affordable technology solutions. The research method used a waterfall-based systems development approach, encompassing the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. Primary data was collected through interviews with MSMEs in Ogan Baru Village, while secondary data was obtained from relevant literature. The developed system is an interactive digital platform that enables MSMEs to publish products, manage business information, and utilize analytical features to evaluate marketing strategies. The results indicate that this information system is effective in increasing the visibility and efficiency of MSME promotions. Testing revealed that 85% of users felt that the platform significantly improved market access and reduced promotional costs compared to traditional methods. This system also facilitates the management of product information in real time. In conclusion, the development of a digital-based information system provides a relevant and sustainable solution for MSMEs in facing the challenges of the digital era. This research makes a significant contribution to MSME digitalization strategies and serves as a model for implementation in other regions. Further development is recommended for the integration of additional features such as online payments and personalized promotions based on customer data

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi, khususnya Internet of Things (IoT), telah memberikan dampak signifikan dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan, termasuk bidang pertanian modern. Salah satu implementasi inovatifnya adalah pengembangan alat penyiraman tanaman otomatis berbasis Arduino yang dirancang untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan air serta meningkatkan efisiensi perawatan tanaman. Sistem ini memanfaatkan sensor kelembaban tanah (Soil Moisture Sensor) yang bekerja dengan mendeteksi kadar air melalui pengukuran resistansi listrik pada media tanam. Ketika sensor membaca bahwa tingkat kelembaban menurun di bawah ambang batas yang ditentukan, sinyal otomatis dikirimkan ke mikrokontroler Arduino untuk mengaktifkan pompa air. Pompa kemudian melakukan penyiraman hingga kelembaban tanah kembali mencapai kondisi ideal, setelah itu sistem mematikan pompa secara mandiri.Selain fungsi penyiraman otomatis, perangkat ini juga dilengkapi dengan tampilan LCD yang menyajikan informasi kelembaban tanah secara real-time. Fitur ini memudahkan pengguna dalam memantau kondisi tanaman tanpa perlu melakukan pengecekan manual, sehingga sangat cocok digunakan pada tanaman indoor atau area yang sulit dijangkau. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe alat ini mampu menjaga kestabilan kelembaban tanah secara efektif, mengurangi risiko overwatering maupun underwatering, serta membantu penghematan energi. Inovasi ini mendukung konsep pertanian urban (urban farming) dan memberikan solusi otomatis, ramah lingkungan, serta praktis bagi masyarakat modern yang ingin menerapkan praktik pertanian berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to implement digitalization in the marketing process of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in cattle farming in Tanjung Aur Village, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency, through the development of a web-based cattle sales system. Digitalization is applied to overcome the limitations of traditional marketing, which requires buyers to visit the farm directly, resulting in limited market reach and inefficient transaction processes. The developed system provides features such as product information, online ordering, payment proof uploads, and data management for both administrators and farmers. The research adopts the Waterfall development model, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing using the black box method. The results indicate that the implemented website successfully improves marketing effectiveness, expands customer reach, and simplifies the transaction process for both buyers and sellers. Furthermore, the system enhances time and cost efficiency compared to conventional manual methods previously used. With this digital platform, cattle-farming MSMEs in Tanjung Aur are expected to become more competitive and better prepared to adapt to the demands of the digital economy era.

Abstract

Electricity consumption in the household sector is often poorly controlled, leading to energy waste and increased electricity bills. To address this issue, this study presents the design and implementation of an electricity consumption monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using the ESP32 microcontroller and PZEM-004T sensor. The system allows real-time monitoring of electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, and energy, with data displayed on digital devices like smartphones or computers.  Measurement data from the sensor is transmitted wirelessly to an IoT platform via Wi-Fi, enabling users to monitor electricity usage anytime and anywhere. A prototype method was used in this research, covering hardware and software design, sensor integration, and system testing.The testing results show that the system effectively provides accurate and responsive electricity usage data. With this system, users can identify usage patterns, detect high-power appliances, and make informed decisions to improve energy efficiency. The ability to access real-time data helps prevent energy waste and control monthly costs more effectively.Beyond individual benefits, this system also supports wider energy conservation initiatives by promoting conscious energy consumption behavior. The integration of IoT technology in household energy management demonstrates a practical solution for creating smarter and more sustainable living environments. This study confirms the potential of IoT-based systems to enhance energy awareness and support efforts in reducing overall electricity consumption.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an automatic liquid soap dispenser based on an infrared (IR) sensor to Hand hygiene is an important factor in preventing the spread of disease, especially those caused by bacteria and viruses. The use of conventional liquid soap dispensers still requires physical contact, thus potentially causing cross-contamination. Therefore, this study aims to design and build an automatic liquid soap dispenser based on infrared (IR) sensors that can work without contact. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, prototyping, and tool testing. This tool uses an infrared sensor to detect the presence of hands, Arduino Uno as the main controller, and a TDR Delay module to set the active duration of the liquid soap pump. When a hand is detected by the infrared sensor, the signal will be processed by the Arduino Uno to activate the delay module, then the DC pump will turn on for a predetermined duration so that liquid soap is dispensed automatically. After the set time is reached, the pump will automatically turn off and the system will return to standby mode. The test results show that the automatic liquid soap dispenser can work well and responsively in detecting hands and dispensing liquid soap consistently according to the set duration. This system is able to reduce direct physical contact, improve hygiene, and has a simple design, is energy efficient, and is easy to implement.

Abstract

Mosques play a central role in Muslim community life, not only as places of worship but also as centers for social and financial activities, such as donations, alms management, and dissemination of mosque-related information. However, in the current era of rapid technological development, many mosques still rely on manual systems for financial management and information delivery, which are prone to recording errors, calculation inaccuracies, data loss, and limited transparency. This condition can reduce public trust and hinder effective mosque management. Therefore, technological innovation is needed to support transparent, accurate, and efficient mosque administration. This research aims to assist the management of Raudhatul Mukhlisin Mosque in improving the efficiency and accuracy of mosque financial data management through the development of a website-based information system. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which includes requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This study applies qualitative research methods with data collection techniques including observation and literature review. The developed system utilizes PHP, HTML, and MySQL, and system testing was conducted using the Black Box method. The results show that the proposed system facilitates data recording, financial reporting, and information access, while enhancing transparency and accountability for mosque administrators and worshippers.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought real changes in the world of education, especially in the way the learning process is designed, implemented, and evaluated. Universities no longer only focus on delivering material, but are also required to ensure that students remain actively involved during the learning process. Student involvement is one of the important indicators of learning success because it is directly related to the attention, participation, and quality of students' understanding of the material presented. With that, the researcher utilizes technology which is a solution to help monitor and improve the quality of learning. Information technology, especially the Internet of Things (IoT), allows physical devices to connect with digital systems so that the monitoring process can be carried out in real-time and continuously a monitoring system for student learning activities that is able to work in real-time, is non-invasive, and is easy to implement. Therefore, this study proposes FocusGuard, which is a camera-based student learning activity monitoring system and the Internet of Things (IoT). This system is designed to monitor the general state of classroom activities through visual observation, detect passive conditions in a certain time span, and provide alerts as indicators of declining learning activities. It is hoped that this system can help lecturers and educational institutions in supporting the implementation of smart learning and improving the quality of the learning process in higher education.
