Abstract

Autism Syndrome Disorder is a multifaceted developmental disorder of mental function with symptoms of impaired communication, social interaction, and distinctive behavioural patterns. A person with Autism Syndrome Disorder cannot form normal social relationships or communication. They have their world. This condition causes them to be isolated from the surrounding environment. Because the main problem faced in Indonesia is the misdiagnosis of autistic children as mentally retarded, so they cannot get the necessary treatment that allows these children to live like normal children. The diagnosis of autism is considered a big problem because the symptoms are easily confused with those of mental retardation. Diagnosis is one of the most challenging and complex problems due to the lack of specialist doctors who can diagnose it scientifically, resulting in misdiagnosis or neglect of autism in the early stages of a child's life, which leads to difficulties in intervention later in life. Successful intervention requires a correct diagnosis. Diagnosing autism disorders manually requires a specialist doctor, making this system have many shortcomings and weaknesses. Therefore, applying an expert system can help diagnose autistic disorders in patients. This expert system will be able to diagnose and obtain accurate results. Based on the results of system testing that has been carried out, it was found that of the 12 cases tested using the expert system, there was 1 case that should have had autism. However, the system diagnosed it as harmful, and 1 case should not have had autism, but the system diagnosed autism. So, it can be concluded that the system's accuracy rate for diagnosing autism is 83%

Abstract

Every child is unique, showcasing individual personalities, preferences, and skills from an early age. Therefore, families, educators, and caregivers need to monitor children's development to ensure they meet physical, emotional, and cognitive milestones appropriate to their age. Preschool assessment is critical in identifying developmental progress across domains such as moral and religious values, motor skills, mental abilities, language, socio-emotional skills, and artistic expression. However, limited parental knowledge and young children's communication barriers often hinder practical assessment. This study aims to develop and model the user interface of a Preschool Assessment application using the Child-Centered Design (CCD) approach, which positions children at the heart of the system design process. CCD incorporates children's characteristics through indirect engagement facilitated by the involvement of parents and teachers. The resulting interface prototype was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS), with participation from 20 children and 15 parents or teachers. The SUS scores averaged 86.25 from children and 84.17 from parents/teachers, categorized as "Excellent." These results indicate that the interface achieved a high level of usability and is well-aligned with the needs and characteristics of preschool-aged users

Abstract

Abstract Technological innovation and the use of digitalization are essential to improve the quality and quantity of processed tofu products, enabling traders to expand their market and increase their income while positively impacting the surrounding community. Unutilized tofu waste can be transformed into value-added products through the application of appropriate technology. The Tofu Trader Group Empowerment Program through Innovation and Tofu Waste Digitalization, implemented by a team of lecturers, aims to improve traders' skills in processing tofu waste into processed products while introducing digital marketing strategies to enable the resulting products to compete in a wider market. The activity methods include observation, training, mentoring, and pretest-posttest-based evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in the average knowledge score of participants from 5.72 in the pretest to 7.83 in the posttest, with an n-gain score of 49%, indicating a significant increase in understanding. This program is considered effective in changing the mindset of traders from simply selling conventional tofu to being creative entrepreneurs who utilize waste to create new economic value. Keywords: tofu dregs; innovation; digitalization
