Abstract

This paper is the result of a descriptive qualitative research that aims to determine effective communication patterns in the implementation of guidance and counseling at Public Elementary School Number 172 Enrekang. The results showed that SD Negeri No. 172 Enrekang had 248 students, and did not yet have a teacher who specifically handles guidance and counseling, so that each class teacher became the executor of guidance and counseling services in his class. Class teachers who act as counselors provide guidance and counseling services to students through instilling values ​​in appropriate subjects, building empathetic communication, setting an example and giving appreciation and reinforcement. Public Elementary School Number 172 Enrekang should have a counselor who specifically handles guidance and counseling, given the large number of students, besides that counselors need to have special abilities, especially in terms of communicating with children, so that the guidance and counseling process can run better and more effectively.

Abstract

Rutinitas utama yang dilakukan oleh perpustakaan yakni mengorganisasikan ilmu pengetahuan (knowledge management) agar dapat diakses dengan mudah dan cepat oleh pemustaka. Tata kelola dan layanan perpustakaan mengalami perubahan seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Namun demikian beberapa perpustakaan yang ada saat ini masih bertahan dengan tata kelola dan bentuk layanan yang konvensional karena satu dan lain hal, ataupun karena tak ingin terjebak dalam teknologi yang menurutnya menyulitkan itu. Dari urgensi masalah tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis jumlah perpustakaan di Sulawesi Selatan yang telah menerapkan layanan berbasis website serta menganalisis kendala dan tantangan yang dihadapi perpustakaan dalam menerapkan sistem layanan berbasis website. Penelitialn ini menggunalkaln metode riset kombinalsi (mixed methods resealrch) yalitu penelitialn yalng didalsalri paldal galbungaln positivisme daln posotivisme. Penelitian ini mensurvei 54 perpustakaan yang telah menerapkan sistem automasi perpustakaan. Data diperolah melalui angket survey dan kunjungan langsung ke beberapa perpustakaan yang kami pilih untuk penjajakan lebih jauh. Survei menunjukkan bahwa dari 54 perpustakaan yang menjadi sasaran survei, 48 diantaranya telah menggunakan sistem otomasi perpustakaan karena kemudahan yang diberikan. Kendala dan tantangan yang pada umumnya dialami perpustakaan ialah internet connection, hardware, the system itself, and human resources.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of mindfulness-based classical guidance on improving students’ learning motivation at SMA Negeri 7 Sinjai. The scope of the research focuses on grade XI students who exhibited low levels of learning motivation, by analyzing changes in motivation after receiving the intervention of mindfulness-based classical guidance services. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 60 students selected purposively, and then divided into two groups: 30 students as the experimental group who received mindfulness-based classical guidance services, and 30 students as the control group without treatment. The research instrument was a learning motivation questionnaire using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The findings reveal a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The distribution of learning motivation scores in the experimental group showed a substantial improvement, shifting from low and medium categories to high and very high categories. In contrast, the control group remained predominantly in the low and medium categories. An independent t-test indicated a significance value of 0.010 (< 0.05), confirming that mindfulness-based classical guidance interventions positively influence the enhancement of students’ learning motivation. In conclusion, the implementation of mindfulness-based classical guidance is proven effective in helping students improve focus, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and the ability to manage academic stress. Therefore, this approach can serve as an alternative strategy for guidance and counseling services to foster students’ learning motivation while providing practical contributions to the development of counseling practices in secondary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mindfulness-based classical guidance on increasing students' learning motivation at SMAN 7 Sinjai. This research employs an experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The results indicate that mindfulness-based classical guidance has a significant positive impact on enhancing students' learning motivation. The distribution of students' motivation categories shows a greater shift towards high and very high categories in the experimental group, while the control group remains dominated by low and moderate categories. The t-test results show a significance level of 0.010 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of learning motivation after the intervention. The mindfulness approach has proven effective in helping students improve focus, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and academic stress management, all of which are essential components of learning motivation.

Abstract

Social awareness is a process in which a person understands and understands a situation that makes the individual himself aware and understands very well what is happening and what will happen. Facts on the ground show that students at SMP Negeri 2 Enrekang have experienced a decline in social awareness. This is why researchers offer solutions to increase students' social awareness by using SFBC counseling (solution-focused brief counseling). The use of this approach places more emphasis on short counseling times and has a lot of research that proves its effectiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the approach and the effectiveness of the solution-focused brief counseling approach in increasing social awareness among students at SMP Negeri 2 Enrekang. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with a one group pretest-posttest research design. The sample used in this study were 10 students in class VIII A at SMP Negeri 2 Enrekang. The results showed that the use of the SFBC approach with the scaling question technique had an effect on increasing students' social awareness compared to without using the SFBC approach with the scaling question technique.
