Abstract

Keaktifan belajar siswa merupakan salah satu unsur dasar yang paling penting bagi keberhasilan proses pembelajaran, didalamnya berisi aktivitas peserta didik melalui interaksi dan pengalaman belajar di kelas, Guru di tuntut untuk agar memiliki kemampuan dalam mengelola pola pengajaran dengan menggunakan atau menerapkan model-model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Untuk mengetahui kondisi pembelajaran sejarah di X MIPA 4 SMA 15 Pekanbaru ditinjau dari keaktifan siswanya (2) Untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan siswa melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD pada pembelajaran sejarah di kelas X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD terjadi peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah siswa kelas X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dan siswi kelas X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. Teknik analisis data menggunakan lembar observasi siswa, lembar observasi guru, dan lembar observasi keaktifan belajar siswa. Prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa setelah diterapakannya model pembelajaran STAD (Student Teams Achievemen Division), dengan presentase aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus 1 mencapai 47,77% dan pada siklus 2 aktivitas belajar siswa mencapai 66,25% aktivitas guru siklus 1 64,58% aktivitas guru siklus 2 mencapai 85,41%. Sedangkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada siklus 1 mencapai 35,06% dan siklus 2 mencapai 79, 01% dan sudah memenuhi kategori tinggi dengan indikator keberhasilan 75% . Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran STAD (Student Teams Achievemen Division) dalam penelitian ini dapat di nyatakan efektif yang ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru, aktivitas belajar siswa, dan keaktifan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kukerta are activities in the form of community service which aim to foster a sense of mutual care for the community. Rumbio Village is a village located in Kampar District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. One of the potentials found in this village is in the agricultural and food sectors. Therefore, based on the potential of this village, the Riau University Kukerta activity aims to provide education regarding land use for food security using hydroponic techniques. The existence of hydroponic and verticulture planting systems can increase income and can also be consumed daily with minimal expenditure. Apart from that, this activity aims to provide knowledge and skills to the people of Rumbio Village regarding the correct procedures for carrying out hydroponic techniques. The methods used in this activity are socialization of hydroponics using used goods, hydroponic demonstrations, discussions and questions and answers, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show that the socialization activities in Rumbio Village were carried out well and smoothly, which can be seen from the enthusiasm of the community in participating in hydroponic socialization activities from start to finish, as well as the growing motivation within the community to apply hydroponic techniques using used goods.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify and obtain information about the school's efforts to embedding character education in the independent curriculum, especially in history learning. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, which describing the situation and data obtained during the author's observations and interviews by asking questions so that it becomes information that is useful and easy for the reader to understand. This research explains and provides an overview of the efforts made by the school in embedding character education in class X history learning in the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. The research results indicate that efforts to embedding character education in class X history learning in the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru are ongoing and implemented optimally in accordance with the school's policies and capabilities. In implementing character education in schools, it does not only rely on the learning process in the classroom, but is also carried out by providing positive activity habits for students and P5, although in its implementation there are still many shortcomings and obstacles.

Abstract

This study explores the use of the Raja Pauh Ranap Mosque cultural heritage site as an educational medium to foster historical awareness among students at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Hismar in Indragiri Hulu Regency, Indonesia. The background of the research stems from the limited integration of local historical resources into the history curriculum, which often relies heavily on textbook-based and lecture-centered approaches. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of site-based learning using the mosque, analyze students’ historical awareness, and identify the challenges faced by teachers in this process. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers, students, school administrators, and community figures. The findings indicate that utilizing the heritage site as a learning medium significantly increased students’ motivation and engagement in history learning. Students demonstrated stronger historical consciousness, not only in understanding local history but also in developing appreciation and responsibility for cultural preservation. Moreover, the study found that the spiritual atmosphere of the mosque, combined with experiential learning activities, enriched the affective and reflective dimensions of historical learning. This research contributes a practical model of heritage-based learning that can be replicated in other educational settings, especially in regions with valuable cultural assets.

Abstract

This research aimed to create a guide module for learning outcome test based on High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) in lectures at the Departement of History Education at Universitas Riau in Penilaian Pembelajaran Sejarah course. The research method used in this research was research and development adopting 4-D (Four-D) development model. In this research, the development focused on the creation of a guide module for the preparation of learning outcomes instruments based on High Order Thinking Skills. The validation result from the material expert was 3.8 (very feasible) while the validation result from the language expert was 3.6 (very feasible), and the results of the module trial for students was 96.22 (very positive). Thus, the guide module was suitable to be utilized as teaching materials in Penilaian pembelajaran Sejarah course at the Deaprtment of History Education, Universitas Riau.

Abstract

This research utilized a quantitative approach with a descriptive observational method aiming to increase students' activeness and mastery of the material. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and reference studies related to learning. The study focused on observing the implementation of learning to assess students' activeness and the improvement of material mastery through several learning models. The results showed that learning activities designed to stimulate all students’ senses during the learning process successfully increased students’ activeness. Initial assessments measuring material mastery without using a learning model showed an average score of 68%, which was close to a good category. However, when treated with the spider webs and walking sticks models in discussion activities, learning became more engaging, resulting in an average material mastery score of 90%, indicating a very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to develop comic-based learning media for the Indonesian History material during the National Movement Period to increase the learning motivation of grade XI students of SMK Migas Teknologi Riau. The background of this study is based on the low learning motivation of students caused by the use of monotonous learning media, such as printed books with minimal visuals. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The results of media validation by material experts obtained a score of 90% and by media experts 90%, both in the very good category. A small group trial with 7 students showed a strongly agree score of 81%, categorized as adequate, while a large group trial with 20 students obtained a score of 88%, categorized as very adequate. Furthermore, there was an increase in the percentage of learning motivation scores between the small group from 80% to 84%, while the large group from 71% to 82% after using comic media. These results indicate that comic media is effective in increasing student learning motivation in history learning. The novelty of this research lies in the contextual integration of comic visual media into national history material, a practice never before implemented in this school. This medium not only captures students' attention but also makes learning more meaningful and enjoyable.

Abstract

History learning at SMAN 1 Peranap is still dominated by lecture methods, resulting in low student learning motivation reflected in their minimal participation and attention. This condition encourages the need for the implementation of interactive and visual learning models. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture model based on Jigsaw Puzzle in increasing the learning motivation of class X students through the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach of the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed an increase in learning motivation from an average of 62.9 in cycle I to 78.72 in cycle II, so it can be concluded that this model is effective in increasing student learning motivation in history learning.

Abstract

Local history is often taught through lecture-based approaches, which can result in one-way learning. Such conditions may reduce students’ engagement and opportunities to develop historical thinking skills. Technology-enhanced resources such as e-modules can make learning more interactive; however, many teachers still have limited capacity to design and implement them. This community service program provided training on developing local-history e-modules using flip pdf corporate edition. The program was conducted in three stages—preparation, implementation, and evaluation—and involved 40 history teachers from the Pekanbaru City History Teachers’ Forum (MGMP). The training also introduced basic instructional design principles for digital modules. Program effectiveness was measured using participant questionnaires covering activity satisfaction, knowledge and technology enrichment, relevance and implementation competence, facilitator and committee performance, and the suitability of training materials. The overall mean score was 3.6 on a four-point scale, indicating a very good category. These results suggest that the training successfully strengthened teachers’ readiness to develop local-history e-modules and apply them in classroom practice.
