Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan metode Membaca Keras melalui pemanfaatan sudut baca untuk meningkatkan literasi membaca di kalangan siswa kelas dua di MIN Kudus. Latar belakang penelitian ini berasal dari pentingnya literasi membaca sebagai keterampilan dasar untuk keberhasilan akademik siswa di sekolah dasar, serta peran sudut baca dalam menciptakan lingkungan literasi yang menarik dan mudah diakses. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menggambarkan penerapan kegiatan Membaca Keras melalui sudut baca dalam meningkatkan literasi membaca siswa kelas dua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kegiatan Membaca Keras dengan sudut baca efektif meningkatkan keterampilan membaca, pengucapan, dan pemahaman siswa, sementara juga menumbuhkan minat dan kebiasaan membaca. Lebih lanjut, kegiatan ini mendukung keberhasilan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of using wayang puppet media based on folktales on the storytelling skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Sraten. The research was motivated by the low storytelling ability of students, as indicated by difficulties in delivering stories coherently, expressively, and engagingly, which are largely caused by the limited use of innovative and interactive learning media. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 28 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through storytelling ability tests administered before and after the implementation of the wayang puppet media and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and a one-sample t-test. The results showed a t-value of 7.440 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The students’ mean score increased from 74.07 to 82.29 after using the wayang puppet media. These findings demonstrate that the wayang puppet media based on folktales is effective in improving students’ storytelling skills across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Furthermore, the media also fosters learning motivation, creativity, and appreciation of local culture within the context of Indonesian language learning in elementary schools. Keywords: wayang puppet, folktales, storytelling skills ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media boneka wayang cerita rakyat terhadap peningkatan kemampuan bercerita siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Sraten. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya keterampilan bercerita siswa yang ditandai dengan kesulitan dalam menyampaikan cerita secara runtut, ekspresif, dan menarik, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dan desain One Group Pretest–Posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 28 siswa kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan bercerita sebelum dan sesudah penerapan media boneka wayang cerita rakyat, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan One Sample t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-hitung sebesar 7,440 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 74,07 menjadi 82,29 setelah penggunaan media boneka wayang. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media boneka wayang cerita rakyat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bercerita siswa dari aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Selain itu, media ini juga mampu menumbuhkan motivasi belajar, kreativitas, serta rasa apresiasi terhadap budaya lokal dalam konteks pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to further explore effective efforts to enhance students’ literacy motivation, particularly in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level. This research employed a systematic literature review method, analyzing national accredited (Sinta-indexed) and international scholarly publications published between 2021 and 2025. The analysis involved identifying, evaluating, and interpreting relevant studies to construct a comprehensive synthesis of current literacy practices. The findings reveal five major strategic approaches: (1) strengthening daily literacy programs through reflective and follow-up activities; (2) implementing project-based and collaborative literacy learning; (3) integrating local cultural content to build emotional relevance and character values; (4) utilizing interactive digital media such as digital storytelling and pop-up books; and (5) fostering collaboration among schools, families, and literacy communities. Within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum, these strategies align with the development of the Pancasila Student Profile, emphasizing independence, creativity, and critical reasoning.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review several studies related to reading ability and vocabulary mastery in Indonesian language learning at elementary schools. Reading ability and vocabulary mastery are the main foundations of Indonesian language learning in elementary schools. The three previous studies show that card-based media, including word cards, flashcards, and picture word cards, have a positive effect on improving students' basic literacy skills. This article aims to review and compare previous research on the use of card media in learning Bahasa Indonesia at elementary schools and proposes the development of digital word card comics as an alternative medium that is more interactive and contextual. The research method used was a literature review of three empirical articles and other relevant supporting sources. The study results indicate that card media is effective in improving students' reading skills and vocabulary mastery, but it remains conventional. Therefore, digital word card comic media is proposed as an innovative form of 21st-century learning media that integrates text, images, and audio in a digital context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia serta untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap minat belajar peserta didik di SDN Rawasari 05 Jakarta Pusat. Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching digunakan sebagai bentuk upaya untuk menciptakan sebuah proses pembelajaran yang relevan dengan latar budaya siswa di lingkungan sekitar, terutama konteks social-budaya Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru dan siswa kelas III. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan konteks budaya lokal Jakarta dalam materi ajar, penggunaan metode diskusi interaktif, serta pemberian ruang bagi peserta didik untuk mengekspresikan pengalaman budaya mereka. Implementasinya kini terbukti meningkatkan minat belajar, partisipasi aktif, dan rasa memiliki terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Oleh karena itu Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) menjadi pendekatan efektif dalam membangun sebuah pembelajaran yang inklusif, bermakna serta berpusat pada peserta didik di lingkungan sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The inauguration of Megawati Soekarnoputri as an honorary professor at the Defense University of the Republic of Indonesia became a topic of conversation among the public because this was the first time this had happened in Indonesia. Megawati wrote a scientific work entitled "President Megawati's Leadership in the Era of Multidimensional Crisis, 2001-2004" and gave a speech at her inauguration as Non-Permanent Professor. The two texts discuss the problems that occurred during the era of Megawati's leadership, policies to overcome problems, and the emergence of a model of "strategic leadership based on Pancasila". The leadership discourse formed by Megawati is interesting to discuss considering Megawati's position, who is the general chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), as well as chair of the Steering Committee of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). This research uses a qualitative approach with a critical paradigm. The research method uses critical discourse analysis coined by Fairclough, where Megawati's scientific work and inauguration speech are reviewed from the perspective of text, discursive practice and social practice. Fuchs, Habermas, and Foucault's views on knowledge and power are used to help uncover discursive practices and their impact on social practice. Based on the results of the analysis, Megawati is building a positive image as an influential strategic leader to this day. The leadership model he initiated focuses on the leader's ability to influence others and pay attention to the role of the people in decision making. The knowledge that is built is Pancasila, which is the basis for every social activity which actually reduces its values to a controlled knowledge system. The impact that arises is that the state's control over individuals is increasingly tight, down to the cognitive level. When drawn to the momentum of the 2024 general election, leadership discourse was used to help Megawati and her group return to power.

Abstract

This literature review aims to analyze the effectiveness of flashcard media in improving elementary school students’ reading abilities between 2021 and 2025. Using the PRISMA systematic review framework, 168 relevant articles were selected and synthesized from Google Scholar and Crossref databases. The findings consistently demonstrate that flashcards are effective in enhancing early reading skills, particularly letter recognition, decoding, fluency, and reading motivation. Flashcards provide a dual visual-verbal stimulus that strengthens the association between form, sound, and meaning. Supporting factors include structured teaching design, teacher competence, sufficient practice frequency, and digital media integration, while limitations involve small samples, short intervention durations, and limited experimental controls. Compared with digital or game-based media, flashcards are simpler and effective for foundational reading, though digital media offer higher motivation and retention. Future studies should adopt stronger experimental designs and explore long-term comprehension effects. This review highlights the strategic role of flashcards in early literacy instruction and offers insights for teachers and educational researchers. Abstract

This study aims to enhance fifth-grade students’ ability to identify figures of speech through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by “clothes hanger” media. The media were designed to facilitate contextual learning through visual and kinesthetic engagement, helping students grasp abstract literary concepts more concretely and enjoyably. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach involving 30 fifth-grade students from SD Negeri 3 Tegowanu Wetan. Data were collected using a figure-of-speech identification test and analyzed through descriptive statistics and paired t-tests. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ mean scores from 72.10 (pretest) to 79.80 (posttest), with a mean gain of 7.70 points (t(29) = 4.26, p = 0.0002) and a moderate-to-strong effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.78). These results indicate that implementing PBL with simple yet contextual learning media effectively enhances students’ mastery of figurative language while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills.
