Abstract

Plant tissue culture is a course requiring both theoretical understanding and practical skills in observation and analysis. Observations at the plant tissue culture laboratory of PGRI Pontianak University indicated that many students struggled to analyze culture stages, calculate appropriate media composition, and faced equipment limitations. This study aimed to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of an augmented reality-assisted e-practicum module. The research employed an R&D approach with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through validation sheets, practical questionnaires, and lateral thinking skill tests for prospective teacher students. Data analysis involved calculating validation scores, questionnaire results, and N-Gain scores. The findings showed that the AR-assisted e-practicum module was valid in material aspects with an average score of 80 and very valid in media aspects with a score of 82. Student responses indicated the module was very practical, with an average score of 82%. The effectiveness test yielded an N-Gain score of 0.71, categorized as high. These results demonstrate that the AR-assisted e-practicum module can enhance students’ lateral thinking skills and digital literacy, suggesting its potential as a valuable teaching tool for future use.

Abstract

Ferns grow abundantly in humid and suitable areas in the land of West Kalimantan. However, the problem is that students have not been able to differentiate the classification of ferns and distinguish what cormus plants and thallus plants are. Therefore, one of the media that supports students’ understanding of ferns is ethnoprinting. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of West Kalimantan ferns and to determine the feasibility of ethnoprinting learning media, seen from the validity and practicality of the product. This study used the ADDIE development model, and the sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a small-scale sample of 20 people and a large-scale sample of 59 people. The results of the study showed that the diversity of ferns found was 29 species, consisting of 3 classes and 16 families, and the results of the development of ethnoprinting fern products from the percentage of media experts were 84 % and material experts were 81% with very valid criteria, while the practicality response on a small scale was 81% and the practicality response on a large scale was 82% with very practical criteria. Therefore, these results indicate that the development of ethnoprinting products is valid and practical and can be used for teaching fern material.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to identify the diversity of plants that make up peatland vegetation in the Mount Bongkok Reserved Forest after forest fires. This research is a quantitative qualitative descriptive research. The method used is the plot method. Area of observations were determined using purposive sampling with the assumption that the existing vegetation could represent the entire community. The sampling size/intensity (IS) used was 5% of the total area of 100 Ha, so the total sampling area was 5 hectares. The sampling location was divided into 50 observation plots with a size of 25x40m each plot. The results showed that Ubah (Syzygium sp.) and Pulai (Alstonia pneumatophore) plants were found at all sampling points. Geronggang plants (Cratoxylon arborescens) and Jelutung plants (Dyera lowii) were found at more than 50% of sampling points. These four plants are plants that are suitable for habitats in peatlands. This shows that this plant is suitable for growing in the peatland habitat and can be used for peatland conservation
