Abstract

Power conservation is a vibrant area of research on wireless sensor networks. Several research papers have shown that using mobile sync in the sensor field, which collects data from sensor nodes via single or multi-hop communication, can save significant energy. However, sinks move slowly, which increases sensor network delays, especially in delay-sensitive applications. To address this issue, various rendezvous-based techniques are described in which a subset of sensor nodes are selected from the field as rendezvous points (RPs). The remaining nodes transfer the captured data to the next RP, where the data is buffered. The RP is then used to build a path for the mobile sink to tour and collect the buffered data. This article describes various rendezvous-based techniques and analyzes their strengths and weaknesses in terms of energy savings.

Abstract

The development of information technology brings a change in society. The birth of social media caused people's behavior patterns to experience a shift in existing culture, ethics and norms. The use of social media, especially Instagram, is currently the focus used in providing information. Almost all levels of society use social media to communicate. There are many new ideas that can be used to utilize social media, one of which is as a promotional medium in the field of fashion photography. The increasingly developing fashion industry must of course also be balanced with fashion photography. Therefore, one of the industries in the field of photography, namely Photoin Studio, continues to innovate using social media to play an important role in influencing society. By using a qualitative approach and semiotic analysis from Charles Sanders Peirce, you can find out and understand this research.

Abstract

This study explores the rebranding of Universitas Karya Husada Semarang as a strategic effort to enhance brand awareness in a competitive higher education environment. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach combined with the Research and Development (R&D) method to design and validate an effective rebranding strategy. Data were collected through observations, interviews with university stakeholders, and questionnaires distributed to students and the general public. The rebranding process involves updating the visual identity, refining brand communication, and strengthening institutional positioning. The R&D stages include problem identification, data collection, product design, expert validation, and limited testing. Results show that a structured, research-based rebranding approach significantly improves brand awareness and public perception. This initiative not only reinforces the university’s image but also increases its appeal to prospective students. The study offers strategic insights for other educational institutions seeking to strengthen their brand identity.

Abstract

The community service program entitled Bunga Rampai Desain represents the contribution of the Visual Communication Design Study Program at STEKOM University in promoting public literacy on art and design as educational, social, and cultural mediums. Held at Tan Art Space Gallery in Semarang, the program integrated an exhibition of visual works such as posters, installations, photography, and graphic design with interactive workshops and open discussions. The implementation involved students, academics, artists, and local communities to create a participatory and collaborative ecosystem. Evaluation results indicate a significant increase in public appreciation of visual arts, as well as the emergence of interdisciplinary engagement. Students gained direct experience in curating, event management, and public visual communication. These findings affirm that visual-based approaches can serve as effective strategies in community engagement programs, particularly in fostering critical awareness and sustaining creative dialogue. The program provides a model for future replication and development of similar initiatives

Abstract

Innovation in the fashion industry is increasingly influenced by the integration of technology, which plays a crucial role in creating more efficient and sustainable design practices. This study explores the potential of combining fabric slashing techniques with artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize the design process, reduce textile waste, and support sustainability goals. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study involved experimentally developing an AI-based algorithm capable of automatically generating cutting patterns. Surveys and in-depth interviews with fashion designers provided qualitative insights into the acceptance, feasibility, and challenges of adopting this technology in a real-world design environment. The results indicate that integrating AI into cutting techniques reduced textile waste by up to 25%, while accelerating the design process and enabling the creation of more complex and innovative patterns compared to traditional manual methods. Furthermore, designers reported that the AI-based system not only increased efficiency but also expanded creative opportunities by presenting previously unimaginable design alternatives. The study also highlights the broader implications of AI applications in fashion innovation, particularly in adapting industry practices to global sustainability demands. By reducing waste and encouraging smarter production systems, AI has the potential to catalyze the transformation of the fashion industry towards an environmentally friendly and resource-efficient sector. The results of this study reinforce the importance of implementing cutting-edge technologies in response to growing environmental concerns and market demand for sustainable fashion. This research also makes a significant contribution to the development of modern design approaches by presenting empirical evidence of the synergistic benefits of traditional techniques and digital intelligence, while also offering practical recommendations for designers, researchers, and industry stakeholders to utilize AI as a strategy in building a sustainable fashion ecosystem that balances creativity, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the economy by creating jobs, reducing poverty, and contributing to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, many MSMEs still struggle to market their products effectively. Limited capital, workforce, and access to promotional media lead them to rely on conventional methods such as print advertising, with minimal use of digital platforms. These limitations hinder their ability to reach wider markets and compete effectively at both local and national levels. Furthermore, differences in approach between MSMEs and large companies influence their marketing strategies. MSMEs often prioritize social networks and personal relationships over structured and systematic marketing plans. As a result, traditional methods are insufficient to face increasing competition and shifts in consumer behavior. Therefore, research was conducted on more innovative, creative, and adaptive marketing strategies for Ubay Singkong Keju MSMEs so that they could survive and thrive amid the ever-changing market dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a motion graphic advertisement video as a digital promotion strategy for the MSME Vyctory Bakery & Snack. The research utilizes the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The final product consists of two advertisement videos with a duration of 30–40 seconds each. The evaluation was conducted using a questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale to assess the feasibility in terms of design, information, as well as editing and animation aspects. The results indicate that the advertisement videos fall within the “good” to “very good” category, demonstrating their effectiveness and efficiency as digital promotional media for MSMEs.
