Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis ketersediaan, kondisi dan kendala dalam pemanfaatan media Komponen Instrumen Terpadu (KIT) dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD Negeri Kec. Siulak Mukai dan SDN Kec. Siulak. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Instrumen yang digunakan lembar observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian ketersediaan media KIT IPA di SD Negeri Kecamatan Siulak Mukai lebih banyak daripada di SD Negeri Kecamatan Siulak, sedangkan kondisi media KIT IPA di SD Negeri Kecamatan Siulak lebih baik daripada di SD Negeri Kecamatan Siulak Mukai. Ketersediaan dan kondisi media KIT IPA di kedua kecamatan tersebut pada umumnya sudah memungkinkan untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun kendala yang di alami dalam pemanfaatan media KIT IPA antara lain sulitnya memilih jenis alat yang akan digunakan serta keterampilan guru yang masih kurang dalam memanfaatkan media KIT IPA.Analysis of Availability, Condition, and Constraints in the Use of Integrated Component Media in Primary Schools.This research aims to analyze availability, condition and the obstacles for utilization the Integrated of Instrument Components media (KIT) the learning of science at Elementary schools in District Siulak Mukai and at Elementary schools in District  Siulak. The research applied a descriptive method which included survey forms. Instruments used observation sheets and quesioner. The result of the research  showed that the availability of Integrated Instrument Components media (KIT) of natural science at Elementary schools at District Siulak Mukai was much higher than at Elementary schools at District Siulak, while as the condition of Integrated Instrument Components media (KIT) of natural science at Elementary schools in District Siulak was better than at Elementary schools in District Siulak Mukai. The availability and condition of Integrated Instrument Components media (KIT) of natural science in both sub-districts are generally possible to be used in the learning process. The obstacles are founded in the utilization of Integrated Instrument Components media (KIT) of natural science, such as the difficulty in choosing equipment type which will be used. Then, teachers skills are still lack in utilizing the Integrated Instrument Components media (KIT) of natural science.

Abstract

This study aim to produce a valid and practical assessment instrument for higher order thinking skills on environmental pollution material at the C4-C6 cognitive level. The background of this research is that the questions made by the teacher are still at the C1-C3 level and there are still obstacles for teachers in developing higher order thinking skills assessment instruments, while in the 2013 curriculum teachers are required to be able to provide questions in the C4-C6 domain. This type of research is research development (Research and Development) which is a research method used to produce certain products. This type of research uses 3 stages of the 4-D model, namely the define, design and develop stages.Based on the research conducted, a very valid assessment instrument of 3,32 was produced by the validator, the empirical validity there were 30 valid questions and 10 invalid questions, the reliability in this study was 0,77 with the category of reliability, 94,79% teacher practicality and practicality. students amounted to 80,80%, the difficulty level of the questions was between 0,31 to 0,70 with moderate criteria and the question difference had sufficient criteria. This research can be used as a reference for other researchers related to the development of higher order thinking skills assessment instruments.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus hendaknya disesuaikan dengan jenis ketunaan dan kebutuhannya. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) menganalisis proses pembelajaran berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Media dan strategi pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah dasar inklusi di Kota Padang, (2) menganalisis kebutuhan berupa kurikulum, kelas dan model layanan anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah dasar inklusi di Kota Padang. Untuk mencapai tujuan, metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah sekolah dasar inklusi yang berjumlah 15 sekolah dasar inklusi, Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah nonprobability sampling dengan cara purposive sampling yaitu memilih sekolah yang teridentifikasi keberadaan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Instrument yang digunakan adalah pedoman wawancara dan observasi langsung untuk mengamati proses pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus dikelas reguler. Hasil wawancara dipindahkan kedalam bentuk verbatim tertulis untuk kemudian dianalisis dan diinterpretasikan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut 1) analisis proses pembelajaran meliputi penggunaan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Media, strategi pembelajaran kepada anak berkebutuhan khusus relatif sama antara dengan siswa normal, 2) begitupun kurikulum, kelas dan model layanan yang digunakan untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus juga sama dengan siswa normal.. Meskipun demikian, ada beberapa sekolah yang memodifikasi proses pembelajaran baik RPP,media maupun strategi pembelajaran dan juga kebutuhan kurikulum. Untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan inklusi, disarankan pembelajaran dan kebutuhan anak berkebutuhan khusus di akomodasi sesuai dengan hambatannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pemecahan masalah berbasis materi pada sistem ekskresi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model 3-D 4-D yang terdiri dari Defin (definisi), Design (desain), dan Development (pengembangan). Subyek penelitian ini adalah dari 2 (dua) orang dosen sebagai validator tes, dan kepraktisan oleh 1 (satu) orang guru biologi dan 24 siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung. Data penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang diperoleh dari angket validitas dan kepraktisan, yang disusun menggunakan skala likert kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian berupa modul biologi berbasis pemecahan masalah tervalidasi yang valid baik dari komponen kelayakan isi (85%), komponen bahasa (83,33%) dan komponen penyajian (75%). Modul berbasis pemecahan masalah yang dihasilkan juga dikategorikan kepraktisan bagi guru komponen manfaat 79,17% dengan nilai 95% komponen Daya Tarik dengan nilai 80% komponen waktu belajar dengan nilai 93,75%. Dikategorikan praktis untuk 24 siswa dari komponen yang menggunakan nilai 86,04% komponen manfaat dengan nilai 88,54% aspek daya tarik dengan nilai 86,46% dan aspek waktu pembelajaran dengan nilai 94,79%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis masalah pada materi sistem ekskresi yang dihasilkan valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA. Development of problem solving-based biology modules on excretory system material for high school. This study aims to develop a problem solving-based module for learning excretion system. This type of research is a research development that uses a 3-D model of 4-D consisting of Defin (definition), Design (design), and Development (development). The subjects of this study were from 2 (two) lecturers as test validators, and practicality by 1 (one) biology teacher and 24 students of class XI of SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung. The data of this study are primary data obtained from the validity and practicality questionnaire, which were compiled using a Likert scale and then analyzed with descriptive analysis. The results of the study are in the form of biology modules based on validated problem solving that are valid both from the content feasibility component (85%), the language component (83.33%) and the presentation component (75%). The resulting problem-solving based module was also categorized as practicality for the teacher 79.17% benefit component with a value of 95% Attractiveness component with a value of 80% the learning time component with a value of 93.75%. Categorized as practical for 24 students from components that use a value of  86.04% benefit component with a value of 88.54% the aspect of attractiveness with a value of  86.46% and  of learning aspect time with a value of 94.79%. This shows that the problem-based module on the excretion system material produced is valid and practical for use in biology learning in high school.

Abstract

Innovative and creative learning media are needed to overcome online practicum during the pandemic to improve students' critical thinking skills, namely the development of STEM-Based Virtual-lab media. The purpose of this research is to produce a STEM-based Virtual-Lab media to improve students' critical thinking skills that are valid, practical and effective. The development model used is 4-D development which consists of define, design, develop and disseminate. However, in this study only the development stage was carried out. The research instrument was a validity questionnaire that was assessed by media, material and language experts, a product usability practicality questionnaire by students and a critical thinking ability test for 30 PGSD students at Bung Hatta University. Sampling was carried out non-probability with purposive sampling technique. The level of understanding of students' concepts was analyzed by ngain. The results of the study stated that the virtual lab media produced for students of the Bung Hatta University Elementary School Teacher Education study program was declared valid by material, language and design experts. Based on the trial implementation of the Virtual Lab media, it is in the very practical category. Assessment of student learning outcomes shows that completeness exceeds the minimum limit for calculating ngain at 0.66 with moderate criteria. Therefore, the virtual laboratory media developed for students of the STEM-based primary school teacher education study program was declared effective. Thus, it can be concluded that STEM-based Virtual-Lab media is produced to improve students' critical thinking skills that are valid, practical and effective

Abstract

Children's behavior can be changed by building awareness to keep the environment clean and healthy. To determine the level of knowledge and understanding of elementary school students regarding waste management in the final disposal site (FDS) area, it is necessary to conduct this research with the aim of determining the level of knowledge and understanding of elementary school students regarding waste management in the FDS area. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The population of this study was 75 students of class V SDN 30 Aie Dingin. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Data collection uses valid and reliable test instruments. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative. Based on the research results, it was obtained that elementary school students' knowledge and understanding of waste management in the Aie Dingin area of Balai Gadang, Koto Tangah District, was in the medium category with a value of 46%, where the level of student knowledge about waste was 66% and the level of understanding of waste management was 54%. It can be said that the knowledge and understanding of fifth grade elementary school students regarding waste management is still low

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of 21st-century skills, especially among students with special needs in the slow learner category. The study aims to enhance students' creativity in learning science by implementing the STEAM approach in class VD of Elementary School 24 Ujung Gurun. This research follows the classroom action research method, conducted in two cycles, with each cycle comprising two meetings. The process involves four essential stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research employed teacher observation sheets and student creativity observation sheets as instruments. The data analysis technique used is comparative descriptive statistical analysis, comparing learning creativity between cycle I and cycle II. The specific creativity indicator observed is elaboration, with sub-indicators focusing on developing or enriching other people's ideas. The results indicate that the application of the STEAM approach led to an increase in the creativity of students with special needs. The observation and data analysis results demonstrate a rise in students' creativity from an average of 64% in cycle I to 81% in cycle II. In conclusion, the study revealed an improvement in the creativity of students with special needs through the implementation of the STEAM approach at Primary School 24 Ujung Gurun. Despite challenges such as assessing work based on student's abilities and some students lacking honesty in their efforts, it is recommended to continue using the STEAM approach as an alternative method to enhance the creativity of slow learners in learning, given its positive impact on students' creative abilities.
