Abstract

Mathematics is considered by elementary school students to be a difficult, boring and monotonous subject. Jarimatika learning media can be used to teach mathematics to students in a simple and easy to use way. Knowing how well Jarimatika media helps elementary school students in learning mathematics is the main aim of this research. Classroom action research (PTK) with a two-cycle approach was applied in this research. Twenty third grade students at SDI Plus Imam Muslim participated in this research. Strategy for gathering information in mathematics classes through the use of an action research model based on qualitative descriptive research. Based on these findings, it appears that the Jarimatical approach in learning mathematics can improve students' numeracy skills. Based on the results of the pre-cycle test which had an average score of 60, only 8 students successfully completed the learning objectives. With an average score of 75 in the first cycle exam, fifteen students in the first cycle were able to demonstrate mastery of the material. Twenty students in cycle II passed the second cycle exam with an average score of 82.75, indicating that they had acquired all the necessary knowledge. The findings of this research indicate that third grade students at SDI Plus Imam Muslim benefit from the Jarimatika approach in improving their multiplication calculation skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the state of mathematical reasoning ability using the PBL model in terms of intrapersonal intelligence. The instruments used were reasoning ability tests, intrapersonal intelligence questionnaires and interview guidelines. Data analysis uses the Mile and Huberman models. The subjects in this study were students of SMP N 1 Tamiang Hulu. Students who were given problem-based learning treatment totaled 30 people. High ability students were 8 students or (26.67%), medium ability students were 18 students or (60%) and low ability students were 4 people or (13.34%). The conclusion of mathematical reasoning abilities using a problem-based learning model, 7 students or (23.33) high ability students, 13 students or (43.33%) moderate ability students and 10 low ability students. or (33.33%)

Abstract

Improving the Numeracy Literacy Skills of Grade V students at SD 067694 Medan is the main objective of this Classroom Action Research. Some high-class students still have difficulty in using mathematical symbols, difficulty interpreting existing data, and making decisions from the analysis they have done. Several efforts have been made such as reading books 15 minutes before entering class, but the results have not been significant in students' numeracy literacy skills. So it is necessary to focus more on smaller subjects in this case the class, and class V was chosen because it does not interfere with the program and for preparation for graduation later. The instruments used in this PTK consist of numeracy literacy test instruments, student activity observation sheets and interviews. The first action taken is to apply differentiated learning based on students' learning styles (Audio, Visual, and kinesthetic), obstacles found in cycle I related to the devices used and students' inflexibility in participating in group learning. In Cycle II, adjusting the condition of the device, and adjusting the number of learning media used. Of the four indicators of numeracy literacy that have increased, the indicator that appears to have a significant increase is the indicator of drawing conclusions. After the actions of cycle I and cycle II were carried out, the students' conclusions were more argumentative and provided quite appropriate reasons. Then, when viewed from the students' learning styles, the activities carried out by students in cycle II were more focused than in cycle I. However, from both cycles, students with a kinesthetic learning style in each learning activity were increasingly active, when participating in learning with learning media.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi pemanfaatan botol plastik sebagai alat tangkap ikan sederhana yang menerapkan sikap peduli lingkungan, menghargai, menghormati dan rasa cinta tanah air. Hal ini dilakukan berdasarkan upaya pengetahuan lokal untuk menjaga dan memanfaatkan sampah botol plastik pada anak sekolah dasar di lingkungan Museum Situs Kotta Cinna. Solusi untuk memanfaatkan botol plastik dalam kegiatan PKM diantaranya: (1) Menyusun program pelaksanaan untuk diberikan materi pemanfaatan limbah botol plastik sebagai alat tangkap ikan yang dibekali pengetahuan, keterampilan dan wawasan pengembangan; (2) Melakukan identifikasi permasalahan dan tantangan hasil botol plastik yang tercemar; (3) Mengadakan sesi diskusi dan curah pendapat dengan anak-anak tentang apa yang mereka amati: dan (4) Memberikan motivasi tentang pentingnya kesadaran mengenai pemafaatan botol plastik sebagai barang yang berguna. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui observasi lingkungan, diskusi permasalahan, dan penetapan solusi permasalahan, melaksanakan program pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi, tindak lanjut mengembangkan program pendampingan pada aspek yang lain dan skala yang lebih luas. Hasil kegiatan PKM yaitu rata-rata keberhasilan pemahaman siswa secara keseluruhan dari 10 pertanyaan yang diajukan ada 87,39% dengan kategori Baik artinya dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh siswa praktik membuat alat tangkap ikan sedrrhana menggunakan botol plastik secara keseluruhan, jadi melalui kegiatan PKM ini pengetahuan lokal tentang pemanfaatan limbah botol plastik di Museum Situs Kotta Cinna diyakini dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi anak dalam kesehariannya.

Abstract

Mitra sebagai Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) Bahasa Inggris yang fokus kepada pengembangan siswa dalam memperoleh Bahasa Inggris, namun ternyata mitra belum mampu mengembangkan secara maksimal, LKP SAS English Laboratory masih melaksanakan pembelajaran berbentuk task based, hal ini sangat disayangkan pada era teknologi saat ini, sehingga pengabdian ini memiliki tujuan pendampingan peningkatan pembelajaran konstruktivisme dengan media youtube dan menganalisis factor kesulitan mitra dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dengan melakukan sosialisasi dengan mitra tentang pembelajaran aktif dan menyenangkan, pendekatan denagn cooperative group, pendampingan yang dilakukan dengan Langkah konstruktivisme sesuai dengan hasil penelitian dan dilakukan dengan evaluasi melalui angket skala Likert serta digunakan Teknik Analisa data dengan menggunakan n-gain ternormalisasi dan paired sample t-test melalui SPSS IBM 22 for windows. Temuan yang diperoleh dalam pengabadian ini adalah meningkatkan sikap mitra untuk pengembangan diri dan kesiapan dalam proses pembelajaran dengan perolehan nilai N-Gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang, bahkan mitra dapat meningkatkan sikap berupa minat, keterampilan, tanggung jawab, rasa ingin tahu dan kesantunan dalam proses pendampingan dan peningkatan pemahaman tutor tentang model pembelajaran konstruktivisme dengan intergrasi media digital, ditunjukkan dengan hasil uji uji statistic sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 (dengan syarat uji sig < 0,05). Dengan demikian, dapat disarankan mitra dapat menerapkan setiap pembelajaran inovatif dan mampu mengembangkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, sehingga mitra mampu bersaing hingga masa depan dengan menghasilkan pembelajaran menarik akan mampu menghasilkan capaian tercapai.
