Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat keberhasilan program pengabdian ini adalah di atas 80%, ditandai dengan keaktifan dan pemahaman mitra (peserta) terhadap materi yang disampaikan yang ditunjukkan oleh antusiaisme dalam bertanya dan keinginan untuk segera mengajukan sertifikasi halal produk makanan dan minuman yang dimilikinya melalui program SEHATI.Abstract: Halal certification is a step that producers must take, especially for food and beverage products (mamin), so that Indonesian consumers, who are predominantly Muslim, can consume these products with a sense of security and comfort. Unfortunately, not all products, especially those produced by MSMEs, carry the MUI halal label on their product packaging. Therefore, the free halal certification programme (SEHATI) and assistance in applying for halal certification through a self-declaration scheme has been implemented for MSME members of the Indonesian Muslimah Association (IPEMI) NTB. The aim of this service is to raise awareness among MSMEs to start working on halal certification of their products immediately, as all food and beverage products must be halal certified by 17 October 2024. In addition, partners will be equipped with soft skills (through technical guidance) to apply for halal certification of their products through a self-declaration scheme. The partners of this activity are MSE actors who are active members of IPEMI NTB. The service methodology used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), where the service team provides socialisation of the SEHATI programme, followed by assistance in submitting the self-declaration. In addition, the activity participants were actively involved in discussions and mentoring activities. The theme of the socialisation will be: "The Urgency of Product Halal Certification for MSME Actors" and "Technical Application for MUI Halal Certification through the Self-Declare Scheme". To help partners submit the required documentation, the implementation team has distributed technical guidance modules that can be studied independently.

Abstract

Hydro energy systems are broadly used around the world as renewable energy. The concept of hydro energy becomes the major energy alternative for fulfilling the energy demand, especially in the remotes area. The type of micro-hydro power was the most applicable to meet electricity purposes. Micro hydropower system proposes an environment friendly used because of easy to operate and low operation cost, especially in the area which high water availability. This review paper focuses on the potential of hydro energy systems that are built in remote areas. This review revealed three types of hydropower systems, namely mini-hydropower, small hydro power, and micro hydro power. Out of these three types, micro hydro power can become the solution for electrification in remote areas. Micro hydro power installation was built with many types of technological approaches. Nevertheless, considering geographical purposes, the capacity of energy production, and sustainability of resources. Yet, several obstacles should be aware of such as power availability in remote areas. The technical issue and government support become the key to success in applying hydropower in the site of installation. Otherwise, conventional fossil fuel-based systems which are costly and unsustainable may require due to the operating system of micro-hydro power as well

Abstract

Photocatalytic degradation of MB was applied using Ce-doped TiO2 under UV-visible light irradiation. The aim of this investigation is to improve the light absorption ability of Ce-doped TiO2 under UV-visible light irradiation to degradation of MB. The TiO2 catalyst was provided by the sol-gel method and addition doping of Ce with 1wt%, 2wt%, 3wt%, 4wt%, and 5wt% concentration. The characterization of photocatalyst has been observed through XRD, UV-vis spectroscopy, PL, and nitrogen absorption. Measurement of UV-Visible absorption showed that increased in dopant concentration in the range 1wt%–5wt% decreased the optical band gap of Ce-doped TiO2. Photocatalyst with doping 3wt% concentration of Ce showed the best photocatalytic activity. The effect of addition Ce successfully to prevent the growth of anatase phase TiO2, enhanced of surface area and enhanced the optical properties of TiO2. The result was effective to prevent the electron-hole recombination and increase the ability of photocatalytic activity in degrade of MB.
