Abstract

Study purpose. The purpose of this study was to improve lower passing skills by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. Materials and Methods. The Kurt Lewin model research design is a research design consisting of four stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were class X students of SMKN 1 Pandih Batu, totaling 15 people. The object of research was the improvement of volleyball lower passing skills by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. The instrument used in this research was the lower passing skill performance test instrument. The data analysis used was quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Results. Based on data analysis, the results of learning volleyball lower passing showed an increase in volleyball lower passing skills. This is indicated that in cycle I only 9 people or 60% of students who were complete and 6 people or 40% of students who were not complete, then in cycle II there was an increase, namely from 15 students who completed 11 people or 73% of students who were complete and 4 people or 27% of students who were not complete. Conclusion. The learning outcomes of volleyball lower passing skills have seen an increase from cycle I and cycle II using the volleyball lower passing learning model has increased overall.

Abstract

Multigrade classrooms in Indonesia's 3T (Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost) regions face unique pedagogical challenges that require adaptive supervision approaches different from single-grade contexts. This study developed the Adaptive Rapid Supervision (ARS) Model for multigrade classroom learning in 3T regions and assessed its validity, practicality, and initial benefit indications. The research employed an Educational Design Research approach through preliminary, prototype development, and limited trial evaluation stages. The research context was combined grade 3–4 classrooms at SDN Kecil Juhu and SDN Kecil Datar Batung. The ARS product comprises a model document and operational instrument package including brief pre-observation, one-page two-round observation instrument, four-level rubric, work evidence checklist, single-focus coaching guide, and weekly micro follow-up. Validation by two experts using a Likert scale (1–5) showed a mean of 4.26 (very high category). Limited trials across four sessions showed all ARS components were implemented within 23–28 minutes (mean 25.5 minutes). Process indicators showed improvements after micro follow-up: independent class interruptions decreased from a mean of 8 to 4 times per 10 minutes, on-task behavior increased from 62% to 76%, and rotation transitions improved from approximately 3 minutes to 1.5 minutes. Practitioner practicality and teacher acceptance fell in the very high category with means of 4.34 and 4.22 respectively. ARS is assessed as valid, practical, and has potential to strengthen evidence-based supervision in multigrade classrooms in 3T regions.

Abstract

This study examines school management challenges in implementing Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum across three primary schools in remote, frontier, and disadvantaged (3T) regions of South Kalimantan Province. Although the curriculum is designed to promote flexibility and contextual learning, its implementation in marginalized settings encounters constraints related to human resources, infrastructure, supervision, leadership capacity, and the need for local policy adaptation. Using a qualitative multiple case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with principals and teachers, participant observation, and document analysis at three schools representing distinct geographic conditions: a mountainous site, a swampland site, and a riverine site. Data were analyzed thematically using an interactive model, with cross-case comparison employed to identify convergent and divergent patterns. Findings indicate that principals adopt adaptive and collaborative leadership strategies including contextualizing curriculum to local livelihoods, mobilizing community resources, and providing internal coachingto sustain implementation despite resource limitations. However, the schools differ in the degree of external support and supervision they receive, revealing that implementation outcomes are shaped less by curriculum design alone than by the responsiveness of multi-level support systems. The study contributes empirically by documenting authentic implementation experiences in under-researched 3T contexts and offers practical implications for strengthening teacher capacity, infrastructure equity, and context-responsive leadership development. Rather than indicating local failure, the documented challenges underscore the need for sustained, coordinated investment in marginalized education.

Abstract

Leg muscle strength is an essential component in supporting the performance of soccer athletes, particularly in terms of speed and kicking power. Leg extension exercises are a form of resistance training focused on strengthening the quadriceps (front thigh muscles) by lifting weights with the legs while seated on a leg extension machine. The aim of this study is: to determine whether there is the effect of exercise on the leg extension leg muscle strength of soccer player SMAN 3 Banjarbaru. This research uses quantitative methods of pre-experimental. The study design used pretest and posttest in One Group. The population in this study is a soccer player of SMA 3 Banjarbaru of 20 people, then a sample total sampling technique or sample is saturated. The survey results revealed that leg extension exercise influences leg muscle strength in soccer players SMAN 3 Banjarbaru in accordance with the criteria of testing the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05. Leg extension exercise resulted in an increase in leg muscle strength in soccer players SMAN 3 Banjarbaru amounted to 15 440.
