Abstract

Utilization of granule compost from rice straw (JP) and titonia (T) as a nutrient enrichmen for Regosol. Regosol has low nutrient content, especially in macro nutrient then it important to incease nutrient content for Onion cultivation. This research aims to study the effect of application granular compost from rice straw and titonia to the chemical properties and onion production. The research was conducted at the Wire House and Soil Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The level of granul compost is 0 ton / ha; 7.5 tons / ha; 15 ton / ha; and 22.5 ton / ha. The results showed that giving JP and T granule compost improved soil chemical properties such as C-organic, N-total, P-available and K-dd soil. Aplication granular compost  22.5 tons / ha increased wet weight, dry weight,  number and diameter bulb.

Abstract

Regosol has low fertility, especially carbon (C), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and other macro elements, but it can be potential for agriculture cultivation. Addition of straw compost and tithonia granule (Kojeto granule) with clay binder can improve chemical soil fertility. This study aimed to determine the composition of the Kojeto granule with a clay binder and to define the interaction between type of Kojeto granule and dosage of compost granule in the chemical characteristics of Regosol. This research was conducted in a wirehouse and soil laboratory, Andalas University. The experiment used a completely randomized factorial design, with two factors and three replications. The first factor was the ratio between compost composition and clay binder 9:1 and 8:2. The second factor was 4 levels of granule compost doses (0; 7,5; 15; 22,5 t ha-1). The results showed that the best composition ratio between Kojeto and clay binder on chemical properties was 9:1. The type of Kojeto 8:2 and dosage (22 t ha-1) had an interaction on Ca-dd (3.75 me 100 g-1). The single effect on the type compost granule at type 9:1 was parameter C-org (2.23%), and single effect on increasing the dosage of granule compost at a dose of 15 t ha-1 was C-org (2.30%), N-tot (0.27%), P-available (14,30 ppm), pH (5,80), and K-dd (0.62 me 100 g-1). The optimal recommended dose is 15 t ha-1.

Abstract

Paddy fields and mixed farming apply intensive agricultural cultivation, and sustainable land use causes changes in land quality, one of which affects soil chemical properties. This study aimed to compare soil chemical properties based on differences in the use of paddy fields and mixed farming in Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. Research in the field in Pal IX Village, Sungai Kakap Sub-district, Kubu Raya Regency, for sampling soil samples at 0-20 cm depth. Soil analysis was conducted at the Chemistry and Soil Fertility Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University. The results showed that the two fields, paddy fields, and mixed farming, had almost the same chemical properties in paddy fields pH, organic C,  available P, cation exchange capacity (CEC), exchangeable Ca and exchangeable Mg.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kandang sapi terhadapa serapan hara makro dan produksi tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada lahan kebun percobaan fakultas pertanian universitas Tanjungpura. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 8 bulan. Sampel tanah diambil di Kecamatan Pontianak Utara, Kota Pontianak. Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan., perakuan terdiri dari: S0 (0g/polybag), (150g/polybag), S1(300g/polybag), S2 (450g/polybag), S4 (600g/polybag), 750g/polybag. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi, Sifat kimia tanah alluvial, Parameter sifat kimia tanah awal, pengamatan serapan hara tanaman, biomassa atas dan bobot 100 biji dan berat pipilan per tanaman data di olah menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan pupuk kandang sapi 450 g/polybag (S3) merupakan perlakuan yang dapat meningkatkan serapan hara N, P, K, Ca, Mg sebesar 137,41%-344,29%, dan berat 100 biji per tongkol sebesar 87,03%. Berat pipilan kering per tanaman sebesar 36,36% pada tanaman jagung. Kata Kunci : Aluvial, Jagung, Pupuk Kandang sapi, , Serapan Hara

Abstract

Alluvial soil is a potential soil for agricultural cultivation, but has several constraints on low soil macronutrients. It is necessary to provide location specific ameliorant to alluvial soil can increase the macro nutrients in the soil, one of them is a combination of red mud and chicken manure. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of applying red mud and chicken manure on the increase and availability of macro nutrients in alluvial soils. The method used is a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (Factorial RAL) consisting of the first treatment, namely the dosage of red mud consisting of 4 levels, namely R1 = 100 g/polybag, R2 = 200 g/polybag, R3 = 300 g/polybag R4 = 400 g /polybag and the second treatment, namely the dose of chicken manure, consisted of 4 treatment levels, A1= 1,000, A2= 2,000, A3= 3,000, A4= 4,000 and was repeated 3 times so there were 48 experiments unit. The result showed that application of red mud and chicken manure  R4A2 treatment (red mud 400 g/polybag + chicken manure 2000 g/polybag) can increase soil macro nutrients in alluvial soils such as nutrients C, N, K, Mg, Na and also in pH, CEC and base saturation. Keyword: aluvial; chicken manure; red mud INTISARITanah aluvial merupakan tanah yang potensial untuk budidaya pertanian, namun memiliki beberapa kendala unsur hara makro tanah rendah. Perlu pemberian amelioran spesifik lokasi agar tanah aluvial dapat meningkatkan unsur hara makro tanah, salah satunya pemberian kombinasi lumpur merah dan pupuk kandang ayam. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian lumpur merah dan pupuk kandang ayam terhadap peningkatan dan ketersediaan unsur hara makro pada tanah aluvial. Metode yang digunakan adalah Faktorial Rancangan Acak Lengkap (Faktorial RAL) terdiri dari perlakuan pertama yaitu takaran lumpur merah terdiri dari  4 taraf , yaitu R1=100 g/polybag, R2 = 200 g/polybag, R3 = 300 g/polybag R4 = 400 g/polybag dan perlakuan kedua yaitu takaran pupuk kandang ayam terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu A1= 1.000,  A2= 2.000, A3= 3.000, A4= 4.000 dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 48 unit percobaan. Hasil penelitian pemberian lumpur merah dan pupuk kandang ayam pada perlakuan R4A2 (lumpur merah 400 g/polibag + pupuk kandang ayam 2000 g/polibag) dapat meningkatkan unsur hara makro tanah pada tanah aluvial seperti hara C, N, K, Mg, Na dan juga dikuti peningkatan pH, KTK dan Kejenuhan Basa.  Kata kunci: lumpur merah; pupuk kandang ayam;  aluvial

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Alang Umar Jaya melakukan budidaya pada tanah gambut. Beberapa petani sudah mencoba untuk budidaya jagung namun produksi sangat rendah. Pelaksanaan penanaman yang dilakukan petani masih menggunakan teknik budidaya yang bersifat umum, seperti aplikasi pupuk belum didasarkan pada kondisi tanah dan kebutuhan tanaman. Solusi masalah tersebut dengan penerapan teknologi pemupukan spesifik lokasi dengan penambahan bahan amelioran (pembenah tanah) dan peningkatan keterampilan dan pengetahuan petani. Tujuan kegiatan untuk meningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani melalui kegiatan bimbingan, pendampingan dan pelatihan tentang pengetahuan dasar tentang penerapan teknik pemupukan spesifik lokasi, pengelolaan tanah, pemupukan dan pengendalian hama penyakit pada tanaman jagung di Kelompok Tani Alang Umar Maju Desa Punggur Kecil. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi: melakukan karakterisasi kendala sistem usahatani, potensi dan peluang penerapan teknologi pemupukan spesifik lokasi untuk tanaman jagung di lahan gambut dengan metode Participatory Rural Appraisal atau Rapid Rural Appraisal (PRA/RRA), Aplikasi teknologi pemupukan spesifik lokasi budidaya jagung di lahan gambut dengan metode Demplot, diseminasi, dan sosialisasi hasil kegiatan demplot. Kegiatan ini petani sangat antusias dan tertarik dengan metode penerapan teknologi pemupukan yang disampaikan. Hasil dari penerapan teknologi pemupukan ini tanaman tumbuh lebih bagus dan bisa membantu dalam meningkatkan hasil pertanian jagung di lahan pertanian milik petani.

Abstract

Satu di antara kegiatan reklamasi lahan tambang adalah dilakukannya revegetasi. Kelompok Tani Mamalam melakukan bubidaya pembibitan tanaman reklamasi, yang mengalami kendala pada banyaknya bibit mati setelah ditanam di lahan reklamasi. Tanaman dapat tumbuh pada lahan reklamasi yang mampu beradaptasipada kondisi tanah yang miskin hara. Maka di perlukan bibit tanaman yang tumbuh baik, salah satu hal yang menetukkan keberhasilan tumbuh tanaman reklamasi adalah media tanam. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mentransfer pengetahuan dasar pembuatan media tanam, pengelolaan tanah, pemupukan dan pengendalian hama penyakit pada media tanam pembibitan tanaman serta melakukan praktek pembuatan media tanam yang baik pada Kelompok Tani Mamalam. Kegiatan ini meliputi penyuluhan, praktek pembuatan media tanam dan monitoring dan evaluasi dari media tanam yang dibuat. Kegiatan tersebut diikuti petani dengan sangat antusias pada kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktek pembuatan media tanam dengan menggunakan bahan tanah, sekam padi dan kompos. Berdasarkan monitoring dan evaluasi dilapangan media tanam kelompok tani menjadi lebih bisa mengelolaan media tanam yang tepat untuk pembibitan tanaman hutan yang digunakan sebagai tanaman reklamasi.

Abstract

The utilisation of suboptimal land for agricultural activities affects the amount of microbial distribution. This research aims to see the distribution of microbes on several land uses in West Kalimantan. Soil sampling was conducted on 3 land uses, agriculture, plantation, and secondary forest. This research was conducted in March - June 2023. Soil samples were taken at a depth of 0-20 cm with 3 replicates per land use. The parameters observed included the total population of bacteria and fungi, and respiration. The results showed that the total population in oil palm plantations had a respiration value and the total bacterial population had a value of 3.9 mgCO2/g/m2/day and 52.5 x 10-3 cfu/g soil, respectively, higher than the secondary forest and agricultural land uses. The total population value of fungi on agricultural land is superior to oil palm plantations and secondary forests at 8.75 x 10 - 5 cfu/g soil. Keyword: land use; microorganism; respiration.  INTISARIPemanfaatan lahan suboptimal untuk kegiatan pertanian mempengaruhi jumlah sebaran mikroorganisme. Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan pada 3 penggunaan lahan, pertanian, perkebunan, dan hutan sekunder. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan maret – juni 2023. Sampel tanah diambil pada kedalaman 0 – 20 cm dengan 3 ulangan per penggunaan lahan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi total populasi bakteri dan jamur, dan respirasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total populasi pada perkebunan sawit memiliki nilai respirasi dan jumlah total populasi bakteri  masing-masing memiliki nilai 3,9 mg CO2/g/m2/hari dan 52,5 x 10-3 cfu/g tanah, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penggunaan lahan hutan sekunder dan pertanian. Nilai total populasi jamur pada lahan pertanian lebih unggul dibandingkan lahan perkebunan sawit dan hutan sekunder sebesar 8,75 x 10 - 5 cfu/g tanah. Kata kunci: mikroorganisme; penggunaan lahan; respirasi

Abstract

Peat soils are planting media that possess several chemical limitations, including acidic soil pH, low availability of macro- and micronutrients, and low base saturation, which categorize them as nutrient-poor soils. The use of site-specific ameliorants such as boiler ash and chicken manure as alternative materials to lime can improve soil pH and nutrient availability in peat soils. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of boiler ash and chicken manure application on the availability of macronutrients and the growth of maize (Zea mays L.) in peat soil. The research employed a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors: the first factor was the rate of boiler ash with four treatment levels, and the second factor was the rate of chicken manure with four treatment levels, each replicated three times, resulting in a total of 48 experimental units. The parameters analyzed included soil chemical properties and plant growth indicators (plant height and stem diameter). The results showed that the combination treatment A2B3 (2000 g boiler ash/polybag + 600 g chicken manure/polybag) significantly increased the availability of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, and Na, as well as improved maize growth (plant height and stem diameter) on peat soil compared to the control treatment.
