Abstract

Container Terminal Operations is one of the core business of PT Tanjung Priok Port, the purpose of this study is to identify operational risks container service activities in Tanjung Priok and formulate mitigation efforts in order to ensure the sustainability of its business. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) has a relationship that is important in the practice of Business Continuity Management (BCM). Risk identification and treatment in general have been mapped in the ERM practices are organized in order to support the achievement of corporate goals. ERM identify, analyze, and manage enterprise risks in general, where it is a first step in making the concept of BCM.The method used is a qualitative and quantitative analysis through the process of Risk Control Self Assessment and Business Impact Analysis. The respondent were General Manager and all staff in PT Tanjung Priok Port. The result showed that there are two significant risks in container terminal is a risk that is not a reliable IT systems and labor strikes. Mitigation conducted on each risk is procuring generators and UPS to anticipate IT system down and the preparation of a Business Continuity Plan to anticipate a labor strike.

Abstract

The research objective is to determine the integration between waiting times for dwelling time and loading unloading container of container terminals at Tanjung Priok Port. The research method used in this study was qualitative descriptive. The five container terminals studied at Tanjung Priok port are the Jakarta International Container Terminal, Koja, NIPCT1 container terminal, Mustika Alam Lestari and Terminal 1 New Port Container. The research problem is whether the reduction in Dwelling Time will be able to increase loading unloading Container capacity at container terminals at Tanjung Priok Portor not. The result shows that there is a positive integration of Dwelling Time specifically for loading and unloading imported containers in Tanjung Priok Port and is categorized as very high, with an average duration of seven years was 5.5 days. The results of this study are expected to be able to recommend how the decline in Dwelling Time could increase loading and unloading container capacity of container terminals at Tanjung Priok Port.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed at understanding the effect of the application of IPC Terminal Operating System (ITOS) on container receipt and / or expenditure services to and / or from the Nusantara II Field of Tanjung Priok Port. The problem of this research was whether the implementation of the IPC Terminal Operating System can make container acceptance and / or container services at the container terminal better. The analytical method used was simple regression, correlation coefficient, determinant coefficient, and t test. The results of statistical calculations obtain that the linear regression equation Y = 6.26 + 0.80X, explaining that the level of container acceptance and / or expenditure services can be predicted to be better if the implementation of ITOS increases better. The level of relations between the two variables is very strong and positive (r = 0.82). ITOS contribution to the level of strong container acceptance and / or expenditure services with a determinant coefficient value of 67.24%. ITOS has a significant effect on container revenue and / or expenditure services with a t count value (7.61) greater than t table (2.048).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of customer satisfaction in the e-commerce landscape by examining the roles of timeliness of delivery and online tracking. In a competitive market, customer satisfaction has become a crucial indicator of success, where logistics and supply chain management play a central role. This research proposes and tests a mediation model where online tracking is hypothesized to mediate the relationship between timeliness of delivery and customer satisfaction for Shopee Indonesia users. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a survey of 150 Shopee consumers in Indonesia and analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results confirm that all four proposed hypotheses were accepted. The findings indicate a significant positive influence of timeliness of delivery on both online tracking and customer satisfaction. Online tracking also has a strong positive effect on customer satisfaction. Crucially, the study validates that online tracking acts as a significant mediator in the relationship between timeliness of delivery and customer satisfaction. These findings imply that e-commerce platforms must prioritize both the reliability of delivery and the transparency of the tracking process to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of cargo control operations during Caustic Soda (CCS) loading/unloading and crew discipline on Motor Tanker operational performance at a South Korean shipping company. A quantitative survey approach was utilized, involving 35 crew members directly responsible for cargo handling. Data were analyzed through multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing via SPSS. Cargo control operations and crew discipline partially and simultaneously exert a positive, significant effect on operational performance, explaining 86.5% of the variance. Optimizing cargo control technology and enforcing strict crew discipline are crucial synergies for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of vessels transporting hazardous chemical cargoes. The small sample size and specific focus on CCS cargo within one company may restrict the generalizability of these findings to other vessel types or cargo scales. This research provides strategic insights into maritime operational management, contributing empirical evidence on high-risk handling procedures for hazardous liquid chemicals.
