Abstract

This community service activity is motivated by several things. First, the number of students who use sarcastic language style, both on social media and in daily life. Second, students' impoliteness in communicating in the school environment, with colleagues, class seniors, and teachers. Third, students begin to have difficulty distinguishing the placement of language use, which language can be used in formal or informal situations. Fourth, many students are not able to filter information properly so some of them spread false information (hoaxes) and hate speech. Based on these reasons, training is needed that aims to improve students' understanding of various languages in an effort to prevent hate speech. The method used in this community service is the lecture, training, and dialogical method. The lecture method is used to convey material related to filtering information and using good language in social media. The training method is carried out by involving participants directly to identify and correct sentences that are not in accordance with norms and violate the ITE Law. Meanwhile, the dialogical method was applied in overcoming the problems experienced by the participants during the training. The targets in this training are students of SMAN 2 Dewantara. The benefit of this training is to increase students' understanding of various languages as an effort to prevent hate speech. Not only that, students will be more familiar with the ITE Law and be wiser in using language on social media.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the need for self-actualization of the main character in the novel Metamorfosa by Nur Balqis. This research applies a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive research type. The data in this research is quotations from sentences in the novel Metamorfosa by Nur Balqis. The data source in this research is the novel Metamorfosa by Nur Balqis. This research used reading and note-taking techniques for data collection. Data analysis was performed by reading the entire novel, noting and classifying parts of the novel related to the form of self-ctualization of the main character and describing. The research results show that the need for self-actualization is found in the metamorphosis novel by Nur Balqis. The self-actualization needs found are: the need for self-actualization in terms of ideals, desires, creativity, mental maturity and responsibility. The most dominant need for self-actualization is the need for self-actualization is desires. Meanwhile, the need for self-actualization that is least frequently found is the need for self-actualization in ideals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the physical structure in the poetry collection Doa untuk Anak Cucu (Prayer for Children and Grandchildren) by W.S. Rendra. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a content analysis approach. The data analyzed are the lines of poetry in the anthology. In-depth, this thesis analyzes the physical structure of the poems in ten selected works from the Doa untuk Anak Cucu collection by W.S. Rendra. The analysis focuses on seven elements of the physical structure of the poems: diction, imagery, figurative language, concrete words, typography, rhyme, and rhythm. The results show that the poet employs various strategies in selecting and arranging the physical elements of the poems. The diction chosen is highly diverse, with a total of 192 words across the ten poems. Imagery, which is strong and present in every poem, amounts to 161 images throughout the collection, creating vivid mental pictures for the reader. Figurative language such as metaphor, simile, and personification is used effectively to enrich the meaning and beauty of the poems, with 152 instances of figurative language identified in the study. The carefully chosen concrete words help readers visualize the objects and events described, with 121 concrete words found in this thesis. The typography used is also varied, with the arrangement of words and lines intentionally set to create specific rhythmic and visual effects. Rhyme and rhythm in the poems create a distinct harmony and musicality. This thesis identifies 121 rhymes and 170 rhythms.

Abstract

This study is titled “Analysis of Sarcasm Languages on Comment Column in Belinda Instagram Account Belinda.mci11”. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of sarcasm language in the comments column on the Belinda.mci11 Instagram account. The data in this study is a comment sentence containing sarcasm style on the Instagram account Belinda.mci11. The source of this research data is a comment column on the post of Belinda.mci11 Instagram account posted on November 27, 2023. The data collection technique in this study uses two techniques, namely documentation and reading-record techniques. The results of this study showed that the discovery of the form of sarcasm in the comments column on the Belinda.mci11 account consists of 9 propositional sarcasm data, 27 lexical sarcasm data, 45 ‘like’- prefixed sarcasm data, and 3 illocutionary sarcasm data.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to describe the types of idiomatic expressions found in Kiky Saputri's stand-up comedy roasting Amin, and (2) to describe the idiomatic functions found in Kiky Saputri's stand-up comedy roasting Amin. The data in this research consists of idiomatic expressions found in Kiky Saputri's and Ate's roasting of Amin. The data source in this research is a video on YouTube titled "Kiky Saputri and Ate roasting Amin." The method used in this research is a qualitative method with data collection techniques, (1) listening to and paying attention to the idiomatic expressions found in the roasting video of Amin, (2) noting the idiomatic expressions that have been identified and correspond with the data in the video, (3) transcribing the video to facilitate the data collection process and to prevent missing idiomatic data in the research. Based on the research results that have been conducted, there are 40 data points divided into 9 full idiom types and 33 partial idiom types. In addition, there are also idiom functions. The function as advice appears in 9 data, the function as sarcasm in 23 data, the function as praise in 4 data, and the function as emphasis in 5 data.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the STAD (Student Teams-Achievement Divisions) type of cooperative learning model in the anime Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a type of library research. Data collection was carried out using the observation and note-taking technique on dialogues and scenes that represent the five STAD syntaxes equipped with document studies on. Data analysis techniques through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study reveal: (1) The material presentation focused on building positive interdependence , such as team exercises that emphasize "one member's failure is the team's failure." in Episodes 12, 15, 37, and 38; (2) Group division in Episode 38 work is realized through dividing heterogeneous teams with collaborative tasks in the Byakuya Gang mission Episode 44; (3) Individual tests in the Chunin Exam measure individual abilities as well as group contributions in Episodes 221 and 223; (4) Assessment of individual progress in episodes 112 and 221 (5) Group awards such as awarding certificates of appreciation in Episode 179 and inauguration of chunin in Episode 227. This study offers inspiration for innovative cooperative learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the denotative meaning and connotative meaning contained in the beguru traditional ceremony of the people of Bener Meriah Regency. This type of research is qualitative. This research was conducted in Bener Meriah Regency from May to June 2025. The data of this research is in the form of sentences. The data source of this research is traditional leaders in Bener Meriah Regency. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews, documentation and notes. Data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the results of the study, seventy data were found which were divided into denotative meaning and connotative meaning, namely denotative meaning totaling 44 data and connotative meaning totaling 46 data.
