Abstract

Final drive adalah susunan gigi yang biasanya dalam bentuk satu set roda gigi dan lurus atau satu set gigi planet (planetary gear) sebagai drive final gear yang berfungsi untuk mengurangi rotasi dan meningkatkan torsi satuan. Prinsip kerja final drive bersama-sama dengan prinsip-prinsip transmisi, di mana ada pengurangan kecepatan rotasi dan meningkatkan torsi dengan memanfaatkan perbedaan jumlah gigi pada gigi. Pada saat operasi dan drive gigi spline gigi rusak kerusakan / permukaan (memakai / aus dan deformasi). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan penyebab kerusakan gigi drive dan gigi spline shaft motor final drive 220 LC excavator dan untuk mencegah kerusakan serupa di masa mendatang. Dari data pengujian menyimpulkan bahwa kerusakan pada gigi drive dan gigi spline poros motor akhir perjalanan excavator 220 LC adalah memakai lelah (fatigue memakai) dan kegagalan lelah (kegagalan fatigue) yang disebabkan oleh adanya gaya tekan berulang kali (beban dinamis) dan gesekan rotary menyebabkan beban kelelahan di permukaan.

Abstract

The design of the palm frond chopper machine for animal feed is a vocational application. The purpose of making palm frond chopper machines for animal feed is to help the community open a business field, especially the development of livestock production who grow oil palm. It is an expected that the palm frond chopper machine can help the community to improve economic output. This machine has dimensions of 600 mm x 500 mm where the working principle of the machine is to cut using a blade to accelerate the cutting process. Blade rotation is a obtained by using 3 HP motor and using pulley 5 inch as a tool to rotate the knife plate.

Abstract

The design of the cassava slicer machine has a capacity of 38 kg / hour, this machine is designed to design a cassava slicing machine that has high usability, achieving the required motor power so that the desired engine capacity can be achieved, able to determine the exact method of slicing cassava . The working principle of Cassava Slicing Machine is to work when the electric motor is turned on, then the motor will rotate then the motor rotation is transmitted to the pulley, moving the slicing knife by 0.03653 N / mm2. After the shaft rotates, the disc where the blade will rotate and the cassava is ready for slices and the results of the cassava slices will come out through the output funnel. Cassava slicing machine using 1/2 HP motor with 1400 rpm rotation as its driver, and Framework with L St.37 profile material, type A belt, bearing with UCP205-16 type

Abstract

The community service team from the Padang State Polytechnic majoring in Mechanical Engineering has implemented a community service program which is participated by members of the affluent farmer group, namely the local community, which is located in Batu Gadang, Kec. Lubuk Kilangan which owns agricultural land. This community service provides rice mower machine assistance to affluent farmer groups. Community service is expected to be able to help all members of a prosperous farmer group, who previously needed a lot of manpower for post-harvest, now no longer need a lot of agricultural labor and also with this community service assistance, prosperous farmer groups can save time and costs for post-harvest. The high hopes of the community service team for affluent farmer groups are to be able to make the most of this machine and support the success of affluent farmer groups to increase rice production and overcome the need for extravagant labor at post-harvest time. And it is highly hoped that the prosperous farmer groups will be able to use this rice mower machine, and can assemble agricultural tools with a modification of the carrying type lawn mower to be used as a rice cutting machine.

Abstract

To improve the performance of the pump needs maintenance, system Maintenance is a process carried out to maintain reliability, availability and the ability to maintain equipment or machinery. An effective and efficient maintenance program will support increased production system productivity. But often maintenance programs ignore the actual needs of equipment or machines. To obtain an effective and efficient maintenance program and in accordance with machine requirements, a maintenance center based on reliability, Maintenance Center (RCM) is a risk-based systematic analysis to create an accurate, focused and optimal maintenance method with the aim of achieving optimal reliability. from assets. RCM studies have been carried out on rotary machines, especially pumps, in the oil and gas processing industry. The study was conducted by following the seven steps of RCM, including the determination of the scope of study, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Logic Tree Analysis and determination of maintenance strategies. Risk analysis based on the risk matrix is arranged through the consensus of all stakeholders. The risk matrix covers occurrences, detection, and the level of risk (severity) in the economic (economy) aspects of health and safety (health & safety), environment (environment). Furthermore, Risk Priority is calculated based on this risk matrix. Number (RPN). Based on the values of RPN and Logic Tree Analysis, a maintenance strategy was prepared for each type of failure mode. This study has also succeeded in establishing a better maintenance strategy for Sump Pit pumps which is then used as the basis for the preparation of a new maintenance program.

Abstract

PT. XXX serviced the Kawasaki GPB80 gas turbine with the latest data on the use of gas fuel in gas turbine unit 6 on average 32,028 liters / day and the use of diesel fuel in turbine unit 3 is 39,111 liters / day. This research was conducted with field observations and literature studies. Field observations obtained the following data: pressure, temperature at predetermined points, engine generator, the surrounding environment and required supporting data. The specific fuel consumption obtained in unit 6 gas turbines using diesel fuel is 0.049 l / kW hour. turbine efficiency obtained in unit 3 gas turbines using diesel fuel is 9.02%. Decreased Torque performance in unit 3 gas turbine of 6186 Nm caused by an average T2 temperature of 85 0C before entering the combustion chamber so that the combustion process is incomplete in the combustion chamber resulting in thermal efficiency in the unit 3 gas turbine not proportional to the Specific Fuel Consumtion or usage diesel fuel against the effective power produced. The specific fuel consumption in unit 3 gas turbine is 0.06 l / kW.h while the unit 6 gas turbine is 0.04 l / k.W.h.

Abstract

S45C steel is widely used in the industrial world, one of which is machining construction. problems that often occur in the engine components are worn out, broken, cracks that can be caused due to overload (over load), so the construction design is not as expected. With S45C steel is widely used in the industrial world, one of which is machining construction. problems that often occur in the engine components are worn out, broken, cracks that can be caused due to overload (over load), so the construction design is not as expected. With the above problems, it is desirable for a construction material that is hard and also resilient to prevent damage. Then in order to obtain good results, the components of the machines are then given heat treatment such as hardening which aims to improve the properties of the metal.From the results of testing the hardness obtained the highest value on the quenching test. In impact testing for raw material specimens with an average value of 0.811 J / mm2, in the quenching pesimen the average value was 0.483 J / mm2 and in the tempering tempering was 1.282 J / mm2. From the results of the impact testing, the highest values were found in the tempering templates. The microstructure of JIS S45C steel after heating undergoes a change in microstructure wherein the specimens of tempering ferrite and pearlite structures get smaller and spread, this is due to slow cooling, in contrast to specimens quenching because heat treatment is carried out through temperature and rapid cooling with water media so that the structure does not have enough time to diffuse.

Abstract

Gear pump (pompa roda gigi) adalah jenis pompa positive displacement dimana fluida akan mengalir melalui celah-celah roda gigi dengan dinding rumahnya disebut sebagai pompa karena fluida yang dialirkan pada umumnya berupa cairan (liquid) atau bubur (slurry). Sedangkan pompa positive displacement berarti pompa tersebut menghisap sejumlah fluida yang terjebak yang kemudian ditekan dan dipindahkan ke arah keluaran (outlet). Gear pump sering digunakan untuk aplikasi hydrolic fluid power. Dalam pengoperasiannya sebuah komponen gear pump excavator dapat mengalami kegagalan, meskipun komponen tersebut masih dalam keadaan bagus/ baru. Untuk menganalisa penyebab terjadi kegagalan gear pump ini dilakukan pengujian yang meliputi pengujian yang bersifat merusak (destructive material testing) menggunakan uji kekerasan dan pengujian yang tidak merusak (non-destructive material testing) menggunakan uji fraktografi, metallografi dan pengujian komposisi kimia. Dari hasil pemeriksaan di labor menunjukan bahwa Gear Pump Excavator mengalami kerusakan pada gigi penggerak di bagian luar dan gigi bagian dalam, photo makro roda gigi bagian luar dalam penampang melintang menunjukan adanya cacat Deformasi / Perubahan Bentuk akibat beban bentur pada permukaan roda gigi. Roda gigi yang menerima beban putar/ gesek mengalami aus sesuai dengan arah putaran geardan pada permukaan patahan dan menunjukkan terdapatnya inklusi yang terkonsentrasi mengarah ke permukaan material gear pump excavator sehingga menyebabkan terjadinya aus. Pada material gear pump excavator yang mengalami kegagalan bila dilihat dari bentuk patahannya termasuk kepada jenis beban fatik karena sebelum patah gear pump excavator mengalami cacat deformasi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengindentifikasi kerusakan dari komponen alat berat,dengan mengukur nilai Total Productive Maintenance (TMP). Perawatan pencegahan(preventive maintenance) merupakan suatu perawatan atau pemeliharaan yang di lakukan padaselang waktu yang telah di tentukan sebelumnya.Sumigita Inhwa Consortium dalam halmelakukan perawatan komponen mesin menerapkan sistem preventive maintenance dancorrective maintenance.Dalam hal ini penulis akan mengukur nilai Total Productive Maintenance (TMP) untukmengetahui tingkat efektivitas mesin yang digunakan saat ini dengan metode PerhitunganOveral Equipment Effectifenes (OEE) yang terdiri dari Availability, performance efesiency,rate quality.Dari hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan maka diperoleh nilai Availability= 98.73% -98.98%, Performance = 99.71% - 99.97%, Quality= 99.07% - 99.20%, OEE= 97.78% -97.91% dari nilai keseluruhan masih ada terdapat nilai yang tidak sesuai dengan standartworld class OEE yaitu nilai quality yang masih dibawah standart ideal. Abstract

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) adalah suatu prinsip manajemen untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi. Menurut Moubray J, dkk. (1997), Maintenance atau pemeliharaan adalah suatu kegiatan yang dilakukan secara berulang-ulang dengan tujuan agar peralatan selalu memiliki kondisi yang sama dengan keadaan awalnya. Menurut Much. Djunaididkk (2013) Total Productive Maintenance(TPM) merupakan pencapaian efisiensi pemeliharaan mandiri melalui satu sistem yang lengkap berdasarkan keikutsertaan seluruh karyawan.Tidak tepatnya penanganan dan pemeliharaan mesin akan mengakibatkan kerugian – kerugian dalam kategori Six big losses.Tahap pertama dalam usaha peningkatan efisiensi produksi pada perusahaan ini adalah dengan melakukan pengukuran efektifitas mesin dryer twind dengan menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveess (OEE) yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengukuran OEE Six big losses untuk mengetahui besarnya efisiensi yang hilang pada ke enam factor Six big losses. Dari ke enam factor tersebut selanjutnya di cari factor yang memberikan kontribusi terbesar yang mengakibatkan besarnya efisiensi pada mesin dryer twind .dengan diagram sebab akibat dapat di analisa masalah sebenarnya yang menjadi penyebab utama tingginya kerugian yang mengakibatkan rendahnya effisiensi mesin dryer twind. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil pada mesin dryer twind bahwa nilai OEE untuk periode Februari 2014 – Januari 2015 berkisar antara 77,15% sampai 82,72% kondisi ini menunjukan bahwa kemampuan mesin dryer twind dalam mencapai target dan dalam pencapaian efffectivitas penggunaan mesin/ peralatan belum mencapai kondisi yang ideal (?85%)
