Abstract

The study of socio-cultural institutions related to natural resource management includes two factors namely IPSO facto (based on facts) namely management in an area marked by the presence of people who carry out activities and IPSO de jure (based on law) namely management based on legal aspects positive. This article aims to analyze how the socio-cultural principles lived by the community in Bahodopi District, Morowali Regency in response to their lives. The results showed that the dynamics of community life after the entry of the mine in Bahodopi had broad implications related to social life. However, empirically, this study shows that the conflict mechanism that arises is more dominated by conflicts between migrants and local residents, as well as local communities and companies. The number of conflicts raised by the community is a low escalation but has a broad impact on the sustainability and existence of investment management. The interaction of various cultures that have different perspectives is typical even though it has the potential to create conflict and even violence if it is not appropriately managed. Socio-cultural background with a different basis is a trigger for disharmony in the community if it cannot be appropriately managed. The conflict that occurs mainly with the appearance of two ethnic entities facing each other is an irony in the life of a capitalistic character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of rural sanitation development policies in Loru Village, Sigi Regency, This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with local communities, village government representatives, and health workers to gain insights into sanitation policies and practices. Direct observation on site to observe the condition of sanitation facilities and environmental cleanliness. Documentation that includes policy reports, development data, and sanitation-related records. The results of the study show that although the government has invested in the development of sanitation infrastructure, the main problem lies in the low awareness of the public. Many residents still choose to throw their wishes carelessly and use unclean air, resulting in the potential for the spread of disease. Another factor that hinders the implementation of the policy is the lack of effective communication between the Health Office, Puskesmas, and the village government. Efforts to educate and increase understanding of the importance of sanitation are needed to change people's behavior. In conclusion, the implementation of the rural sanitation development policy in Loru Village has not been optimal because the main challenge is low public awareness. Increased education and coordination between the government and the community is urgently needed to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of good sanitation. A strategy that includes a participatory approach is needed to ensure that the community understands the benefits and importance of using proper sanitation facilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and evaluate the role of the village government in managing Corporate Social Responsibility in Ambunu Village, West Bungku District, Morowali Regency. This study uses Ryaas Rasyid's theory with 4 aspects, namely: Facilitator, Regulator, Dynamist, and Catalyst. Researchers use qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study amounted to 6 people, namely the Village Head, BPD, PT. IHIP, and 3 community members. Based on the results of field research and interviews with various informants, it shows that the Ambunu village government has carried out its role as a facilitator by facilitating dialogue between the community and the company. However, there are still shortcomings in the dissemination of information and the fulfillment of infrastructure needs. As a regulator, the role of the village government has not been optimal due to the lack of specific regulations governing the supervision and accountability of CSR fund management. As a dynamic agent, the village government is active in planning and implementing CSR programs, encouraging innovation, and ensuring that community needs are met, although there are still challenges in equitable fulfillment of needs and increasing community participation. As a catalyst, the village government has attempted to facilitate community participation and implement aligned programs. However, improvements in outreach and information delivery are needed to achieve the desired impact. This research includes improving the quality of outreach, optimizing program implementation, strengthening partnerships, increasing community participation, and enhancing transparency and accountability in CSR management.

Abstract

The natural disaster that struck Palu City in 2018 caused significant social and economic impacts, including the loss of homes for thousands of residents. In response, the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation built permanent housing for the affected victims. This relocation brought about various changes in the community's lives, including social, economic, and psychological aspects. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the impact of relocation on the changing conditions of residents living in Buddha Tzu Chi's permanent housing. The research focuses on socio-economic adaptation, access to public services, and the sustainability of community well-being after the relocation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of residents who have settled in Buddha Tzu Chi's permanent housing. Data were collected through questionnaires that measured aspects of social, economic, and psychological well-being before and after the relocation. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses will be used to examine the relationship between relocation and changes in community conditions. The research stages include primary and secondary data collection, data processing and analysis, and interpretation of the results to provide an accurate picture of the impact of relocation. The research findings are expected to contribute to academics, policy practitioners, and humanitarian organizations in understanding and managing the impact of post-disaster relocation.
