Abstract

This study aims to analyse the successful implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Physical Education, Health and Recreation (PJKR) study programmes in higher education. The PjBL model is considered suitable for achieving comprehensive learning objectives in the field of PJKR, but its success needs to be studied more deeply. This literature review includes a review of the concepts and characteristics of the PjBL model, as well as its potential in the context of CHDR in higher education. Various supporting factors and challenges that influence the implementation of PjBL in CHDR learning are identified through literature analysis. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PjBL model in CHDR can increase students' active involvement, develop holistic competencies, and encourage meaningful and contextualised learning. However, careful planning, infrastructure support, and the role of competent lecturers are needed to achieve successful implementation. In addition, challenges such as time allocation, project management, and appropriate assessment must be overcome for the PjBL model to be implemented effectively. This study concludes that the implementation of the PjBL model in CHDR in higher education has great potential, but requires comprehensive preparation and strategies to ensure its success. Recommendations for future research include empirical studies on the impact of PjBL implementation on the learning outcomes of PJKR students.

Abstract

Plyometric training is a method that is often used in developing the speed and agility of soccer players. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of plyometric training in increasing the speed and agility of soccer players in Taman Fajar Village, Purbolinggo District, East Lampung Regency. The research method used was experimental with a quantitative approach, involving amateur soccer players who were divided into control and treatment groups. Measurements were taken before and after the training program using the 20-meter sprint test for speed and the Illinois Agility Test for agility. The results showed that the group undergoing plyometric training experienced significant improvements in speed and agility compared to the control group (p < 0.05). Plyometric training is proven to be effective in improving the physical performance of soccer players, especially in the aspects of explosivity and movement reaction. Thus, this method can be recommended as part of a routine training program for soccer players at both amateur and professional levels.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in sports coaching education. Coaches are required to adapt to the latest strategies to improve training effectiveness and athlete development. This article discusses modern strategies in sports coaching education, including the utilization of digital technology, data-driven approaches, and innovations in training methods. Digital transformation allows coaches to access and analyze athlete performance data in real-time, utilize artificial intelligence in decision-making, and optimize communication and learning through digital platforms. In addition, sport psychology-based approaches and adaptive leadership are important aspects in building excellent coaches in the digital era. The results show that coaches who adopt digital strategies tend to be more effective in improving athlete performance, optimizing training planning, and adjusting learning methods according to individual needs. Thus, sports coaching education must continue to innovate in integrating the latest technology and approaches to create competitive and superior coaches in the digital era.
