Abstract

Sejak Pemerintah Indonesia memberlakukan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar guna menekan laju penyebaran virus Covid-19 pada bulan Maret 2020, proses pembelajaran di sekolah harus dilaksanakan secara jarak jauh. Hal ini menimbulkan kesulitan dalam penyampaian materi ajar yang memerlukan peralatan laboratorium.  Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan mengatasi kesulitan tersebut dan berupa pelatihan penggunaan simulator online untuk Materi Rangkaian Listrik. Materi ini memerlukan pemahaman konsep yang abstrak, dan biasanya diajarkan menggunakan alat laboratorium. Metode pembelajaran materi ini perlu disesuaikan agar siswa tetap dapat memahami materi tersebut walaupun tidak dapat mengakses perangkat percobaan di sekolah. Simulator yang akan digunakan adalah Multisim Live, yang dapat diakses secara mudah dan gratis, serta tidak memerlukan instalasi perangkat lunak apapun untuk dapat digunakan. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan dengan mitra MTs Tarbiyatul Falah, secara daring. Dalam pelatihan, dilakukan demonstrasi penggunaan simulator yang memungkinkan guru dan siswa merancang rangkaian menggunakan berbagai komponen dan mengamati keluarannya secara real time. Dari hasil pelatihan diketahui bahwa peserta memahami materi dengan baik, terlihat dari hasil post-test dimana 58,3% hingga 100% peserta menjawab dengan benar. Berdasarkan evaluasi yang dilakukan, 100% peserta menyatakan materi pelatihan yang diberikan bermanfaat, dan 86,96% peserta menyatakan pelatihan metode pembelajaran daring perlu dilanjutkan.

Abstract

Scientific publication data is sourced from the SINTA website to measure the performance of journals, institutions, and researchers in Indonesia. Accessing and analyzing data for institutional needs is restricted, and lecturer development patterns based on lecturer characteristics remain untapped. The study aims to analyze and design business intelligence system models to measure the performance of scientific publications using dimensional models, clustering, on-line analytical processing (OLAP), and prototyping. Research methods are carried out through data and information needs analysis, data warehouse design, data mining and OLAP application, business intelligence system development, and system evaluation. The resulting dimensional models are the researcher index model, the researcher score model, the publication article model, and the research subject model. Measurements of data size and processing time show that the star schema has data of 336 KB and a processing time of 0.00554 seconds, is the best model compared to the snowflake’s schema, which has data of 368 KB and a processing time of 0.00611 seconds. Davies–Bouldin Index (DBI) measurements show the best clustering performance is the X-means algorithm with K as many as 5 clusters (Kmin=3, Kmax=5) and a DBI value of 0.537040.

Abstract

Internet access is getting easier in various places, including Indonesia. Telecommunication media are no longer dominated by the use of pulse signals but have shifted to relying on internet access. This study aims to create a data visualization of internet speed in Bekasi urban sub-districts using the business intelligence (BI) model with online analytical processing (OLAP). Clustering was carried out using two methods, namely the K-means and K-medoids methods which were selected based on the Davies Bouldin index (DBI) value. This study produced a visual data prototype from the results of clustering from the data mining process and was accompanied by supporting data in the form of information on the highest and lowest speeds in the studied sub-districts. The clustering process uses K-means for uploading data with a DBI value of 0.847, while the data download uses K-medoids with a DBI value of 0.871. The prototype displays observation data, maximum and minimum value information, and the clustering result. The functional test result for the prototype showed conformity with the requirements, while the validation test showed that the prototype passed the validation test with a score of 0.8833.

Abstract

Kite strings in Indonesia are crafted by local artisans who have learned from their predecessors, but the industry struggles to deliver quality products that meet customer standards. A Systematic approach to this problem could involve designing a business intelligence (BI) system to improve decision-making. Based on the main premises of the kite string industry, this paper focuses on developing a causal loop diagram (CLD) model as a first step toward designing an effective BI system for the kite string industry. The CLD model captures the relationships between core variables and brain areas, offering crucial insights into customer perceptions, production quality, and market dynamics. Based on data up to October 2023, the study uses a systematic approach to pinpoint the feedback loops enabling product quality and business performance. This framework can be used as a strategic approach to assist in decision-making, refine operational processes, and enhance overall product quality. This research provides a new perspective to the literature by combining systems thinking into BI system design under the context of traditional industries as an elaboration of findings aimed to gain a competitive advantage in Indonesian kite string business practices.

Abstract

Traceability in equipment rental systems enhances security, reliability, and operational transparency by providing the ability to accurately track leased equipment. Challenges in implementing traceability include difficulties in collecting accurate data, the absence of standardized recording practices, and the complexities of integrating technology to ensure complete tracking. This research aims to identify variables affecting the traceability system thinking to improve its efficiency in ongoing business processes. A qualitative descriptive approach is used to offer comprehensive insights into implementing traceability in equipment rental systems, focusing on oil and gas support companies. The study employs the causal loop diagram (CLD) method to dynamically map and identify traceability process variables. Findings show that traceability enables more precise tracking of equipment movement and usage, enhancing inventory management and streamlining maintenance. The CLD method reveals the dynamic relationships between system variables such as equipment availability, maintenance needs, and customer satisfaction, which guide continuous improvement. These results provide stakeholders with valuable insights for optimizing efficiency and service quality in equipment rental operations, particularly in oil and gas support companies. Enhanced traceability can significantly boost operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
