Abstract

This research is motivated by the occurrence of common violations that are often found in SMAN 1 Kec. Payakumbuh, the problem of moral decline that occurs in students such as skipping school, being undisciplined, students coming late to school, smoking, being alpha, leaving, jumping over fences, and dating has gone beyond reasonable limits, this also occurs in SMAN 1 Kec. Payakumbuh. The research method is qualitative, data collection in the study through Observation, interviews, and documentation, the subjects in this study were 1 guidance and counseling teacher, 5 students and 5 parents of students. The purpose of the study was to determine the role of parents in overcoming moral degradation of students at SMAN 1 Kec. Payakumbuh; to determine the role of BK teachers in overcoming moral degradation of students at SMAN 1 Kec. Payakumbuh. Research The results of this study indicate that the way guidance and counseling teachers provide direction/guidance in overcoming moral degradation of students has been running well as seen from the counseling process carried out for students, namely by providing information services, advice, motivation and concluding the results of the counseling process. The method used is smiling to greet students, greeting students as the initial stage in the counseling process, the next method is to provide appropriate responses to students' feelings, telling students to do something such as providing group guidance services, group counseling services, individual counseling. And conclude all the results of the discussion with students so that it is easier for guidance and counseling teachers to solve student problems.

Abstract

Learning is an effort made by individuals consciously to produce behavioral changes through activities, practices, and experiences in the interaction of individuals with their environment. Therefore, to achieve learning achievement, students need to have the ability to regulate their learning, namely determining goals for themselves, evaluating their success in achieving goals, and rewarding themselves when they achieve those goals. Peer social support is a significant determinant of students' self-regulated learning. Adolescent students allocate a greater amount of time to socialising with their peers. This study was prompted by an observed phenomenon among students at SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency. It was noted that some students lacked clear learning objectives, frequently left the classroom during instructional sessions, chose to skip or not attend classes in favour of following their peers, and demonstrated a lack of motivation to prepare for exams. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of peer social support on the self-regulation of students at SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency. This study employs a quantitative research approach with a descriptive correlation design. The study's population comprised students from The study sample comprised eleventh-grade students from SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency, who were enrolled in the academic year 2023/2024. The sampling method used was proportionate random sampling, which ensured a fair distribution depending on the number of students in each class. The study population comprised 61 individuals. A Likert scale was employed as the instrument for data collection. The data analysis technique employed a fundamental linear regression test. The study results reveal that peer social support (X) has a significant impact on student self-regulated learning (y), accounting for 7.8% of the variance. This is supported by a calculated t value of 2.227, which is higher than the critical t value of 2.001. This demonstrates that for every one-point increment in the peer social support variable, there will be a corresponding rise of 0.078 in the value of self-regulated learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in the field, namely several BK students from the class of 2022 who said that the very large number of coursework that must be submitted at every meeting and practical assignments that are also submitted simultaneously makes them feel pressured about the task. There are obstacles in completing the assignments that make these students lose motivation, so that students experience stress. This study aims to determine the effect of Coping Strategies on the completion of coursework for students of the BK study program class of 2022 UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi. This study uses a quantitative correlational associative method. The population of this study was 154 students of the BK study program class of 2022. The sample was 46 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire. All instruments have met the requirements after being tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used was a simple linear regression test. The results showed that the influence of coping strategies on task completion was 57.4%. The constant coefficient was 61.252. The regression coefficient of the emotion sub-variable was negative, meaning that every one-unit increase in emotion would decrease students' task completion by 0.213. Meanwhile, the regression coefficient of the problem sub-variable was positive, indicating that every one-unit increase in problem would increase students' task completion by 1.015.
