Abstract

Kabupaten Morowali Utara merupakan salah satu wilayah yang ada di Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah memiliki potensi sumber daya rumput laut yang melimpah, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas pada bentuk bahan mentah dengan nilai tambah yang rendah. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah rumput laut menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi tinggi, serta minimnya akses terhadap teknologi pengolahan dan pemasaran. Kegiatan Program Maching Fun Kedaireka ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam inovasi dan mendukung pengembangan produk olahan rumput laut. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan teknis pengolahan, pengembangan produk inovatif meliputi pembuatan rumput laut kering kawat, pakan (pellet) ikan dan pupuk cair, penyediaan alat produksi yang inovatif, dan pendampingan untuk menghasilkan produk unggulan dari rumput laut yang berkualitas dan berkuantitas untuk dijual, serta usaha berbasis kelompok melalui pendekatan partisipatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan teknis mitra dalam mengolah rumput laut, peningkatan variasi produk, dan terbentuknya unit usaha yang mandiri. Dampak dari program ini adalah meningkatnya nilai tambah komoditas rumput laut, terbukanya peluang usaha baru di tingkat lokal, serta kontribusi terhadap penguatan ekonomi daerah dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

The potential of tuna resources is quite large, but to achieve export quality, fishermen and Fish Processing Units (UPI) must implement a strict quality assurance system, and government involvement is needed so that the tuna export process from Boneoge Village can be realized soon. This study aims to analyze partnership strategies that can be applied to improve the quality of tuna in Boneoge Village. Data collection method was carried out by purposive sampling. Basically, the data in this study were obtained and collected through triangulation (multi-method). The respondents selected in this study were ten people consisting of four fishermen, Quality Control and employees of the Fish Processing Unit (UPI), four related institutions. The data analysis used was SWOT analysis followed by QSPM analysis. Based on the SWOT analysis, there are 7 strategies that can improve the quality of partnership-based tuna in Boneoge Village, Donggala Regency. Based on the QSPM analysis, the first priority strategy is the strategy of Building Partnerships through Empowerment between the Government, UPI and Fishermen with a TAS value of 7.24, the second priority is Training in Fishermen and UPI Skills and Bureaucratic Efficiency with a TAS value of 6.27, the third priority is Improving Product Quality and Safety with a TAS value of 5.89.

Abstract

The Banggai cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni Koumans, 1933) is a conservation priority species in Indonesia. To date there has been no effort to rear Banggai cardinalfish on a commercial scale, so that fish are still mainly captured from the wild. Therefore, efforts are being made to develop ex-situ Banggai cardinalfish culture using different types of natural feed. This research aimed to determine the best type of natural feed to promote the growth and survival of juvenile Banggai cardinalfish. The research was conducted during December 2021-January 2022, at the Central Sulawesi Provincial Marine Affairs and Fisheries Service Hatchery, in Mamboro Village, Palu City. The study used 3 treatments with 6 replicates each: A (Artemia), B (Cullex), and C (Tubifex). The use of different natural feeds had a significant effect on net weight gain but did not have a significant effect on daily growth rate and net growth in length. Treatment B (Cullex) gave the highest net weight gain and daily growth rate of 0.08 ± 0.3 g and 0.25 ± 0.1 % respectively; treatment A (Artemia) gave the highest net growth in length of 0.5 ± 0.2; and survival rate was highest (100%) under treatment B (Cullex).

Abstract

One of the causes of the low production of koi carp seeds is fungal attack during the egg-hatching period, so natural treatments need to be carried out, including the use of papaya seeds. Papaya seeds contain antifungal compounds in the form of tannins, flavonoids, saponins, and alkaloids. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective dose of papaya seed solution in reducing the prevalence of the fungus and increasing the hatchability of koi goldfish eggs. This study was designed using a completely randomized design, which consisted of 5 treatments with 4 replications each. The treatment tested was papaya seed solution with treatment doses A=control, B=125 mg L-1, C=150 mg L-1, D=175 mgL-1, and E=200 mg L-1. Variables measured included the prevalence of the fungus, egg hatchability, observation of the fungus, hatching time, and water quality. The results showed that treatment with 125 mg L-1 of papaya seed solution reduced the prevalence of the fungus by 32.5% and resulted in the highest egg hatchability of 67.5%. The high hatchability of eggs is due to the presence of antifungal compounds in the form of flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and karpain contained in papaya seeds which provide protection for eggs against fungal infections so that eggs can hatch properly. The best dose of papaya seed solution to prevent fungal infection in koi carp eggs obtained at 200 mg L-1, 11.25%.

Abstract

Ikan patin Siam (Pangasius hypophthalmus) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan air tawar bernilai ekonomi tinggi dengan kebutuhan benih yang terus meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai pengaruh penambahan tepung Azolla (Azolla microphylla) dalam pakan terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan benih patin Siam. Kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari–Februari 2024 di Laboratorium Kualitas Air dan Biologi Akuatik Universitas Tadulako dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri atas empat perlakuan tingkat substitusi tepung Azolla (0%, 15%, 20%, dan 25%) dan lima ulangan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa suplementasi tepung Azolla memberikan pengaruh signifikan (P<0,05) terhadap bobot mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, serta rasio konversi pakan. Pertumbuhan bobot mutlak tercatat berkisar 1,09–2,25 g, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 1,57–2,39%, rasio konversi pakan 1,4–2,7, serta tingkat sintasan mencapai 84–96%.
