Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of quality management strategies at SMP Negeri 5 Kelay, East Kalimantan, with a focus on improving the validity of data-based decisions to improve the quality of education. The research methods used include qualitative and quantitative approaches by conducting interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the analysis show that schools face challenges related to inadequate technological infrastructure, teaching staff skills in data management that need to be improved, and coordination between stakeholders that is not optimal. Even so, there have been efforts to increase the capacity of human resources and information technology infrastructure in the school. The recommendations from this study include the need to develop a more structured and integrated data management system, increase training for teaching staff in effective data management, and improve coordination between stakeholders to ensure more accurate and efficient data-driven decision-making. This effort is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of education at SMP Negeri 5 Kelay, East Kalimantan. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji perbedaan kebijakan pendanaan pendidikan di SMP antara wilayah perkotaan dan pedesaan di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada studi kasus dari daerah-daerah dengan disparitas signifikan dalam Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif serta tinjauan literatur digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi ketimpangan distribusi dana pendidikan antar wilayah. Wilayah pedesaan menunjukkan tantangan infrastruktur pendidikan terbatas, penggunaan anggaran yang tidak efisien, dan kesenjangan akses pendidikan dibandingkan dengan perkotaan. Analisis SWOT menyoroti potensi akuntabilitas dan kepercayaan masyarakat sebagai kekuatan, tetapi juga menunjukkan kebutuhan akan investasi awal yang signifikan dan potensi resistensi terhadap perubahan sebagai kelemahan dan ancaman. Strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi peningkatan transparansi dalam alokasi dana dan kolaborasi lintas sektor untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan mempromosikan kesetaraan akses pendidikan di seluruh Indonesia.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang bermutu adalah kunci untuk menciptakan generasi yang cerdas, kreatif, dan kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan posisi perencanaan strategis dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di MTs Al Ridho Kabupaten Berau dengan menggunakan analisis data SWOT yaitu Strenghts, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metoda kualitatif digunakan saat mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal, dengan cara wawancara dan observasi. Sedangkan metode kuantitatif digunakan saat menganalisis EFAS dan IFAS. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru yang ada di MTs Al Ridho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perhitungan EFAS dan EFAS MTs Al Ridho berada pada kuadran S-O (Strenght dan Opportunities) atau kuadran agresif. Nilai yang diperoleh dari IFAS adalah (0,7) yang terletak pada sumbu axis kuadran SWOT. Nilai dari EFAS adalah (0,29) yang terletak pada sumbu ordinat kuadran SWOT. Posisi perencanaan peningkatan mutu pendidikan terletak pada kuadran I (S-O), pada koordinat (0,7; 0,29) yang menunjukkan strategi agresif, yakni MTs Al Ridho harus menggunakan kekuatan untuk memanfaatkan peluang. Sehingga strategi yang dilakukan adalah memaksimalkan penggunaan lahan yang dimiliki, mengajukan pendanaan tambahan untuk peningkatan infrastruktur, menonjolkan kualitas tenaga pendidik dan fasilitas yang lengkap, serta mengembangkan program unggulan yang inovatif dan menarik.

Abstract

Academic supervision, work motivation, and collaborative learning practices are key aspects influencing teacher performance. These three elements support the creation of a higher quality and more effective educational environment. This study aims to assess the impact of academic supervision, work motivation, and collaborative learning practices on teacher performance at public junior high schools in Berau Regency. Utilizing a quantitative approach with cluster random sampling, the research population consists of 20 accredited A public junior high schools totaling 507 teachers, while the sample includes 9 accredited A schools with 244 teachers. Data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that academic supervision significantly impacts teacher performance with a contribution of 35%. Additionally, work motivation has a smaller effect at 6.9%, while collaborative learning practices also contribute 35%. Collectively, these factors account for 35% of teacher performance, with the remaining influence attributed to unidentified factors. The study emphasizes the importance of synergy between academic supervision providing constructive feedback, relevant incentives to motivate teachers, and developing learning communities that support ongoing professional growth. School leaders should enhance academic supervision through targeted training, local governments should offer more effective performance-based rewards, and schools should facilitate sustainable learning community programs to foster continuous innovation in teaching and improve teacher performance consistently. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educational policy in Berau Regency and enhance the overall quality of education in Indonesia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses manajemen strategis beserta metode-metodenya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Proses manajemen strategis melibatkan beberapa tahapan yang saling terkait, antara lain: Analisis strategis: Tahap ini melibatkan pengamatan lingkungan, analisis faktor lingkungan internal (kekuatan dan kelemahan) dan eksternal (peluang dan ancaman), serta penentuan kunci keberhasilan, Formulasi strategi: Pada tahap ini, organisasi mengidentifikasi visi, misi, tujuan, sasaran, dan strategi. Formulasi strategi juga melibatkan analisis faktor strategis, yaitu kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman dalam situasi saat ini , Terdapat tiga aspek penting dalam formulasi strategi, yaitu formulasi strategi bisnis, formulasi strategi korporat, dan formulasi strategi fungsional, Implementasi strategi: Implementasi strategi adalah proses mengeksekusi rencana bisnis dan mengubahnya menjadi aksi nyata. Langkah-langkah dalam implementasi strategi meliputi alokasi sumber daya, perencanaan program, sistem pelaksanaan, pemantauan, dan pengawasan untuk memastikan rencana strategi terlaksana dengan baik, Evaluasi strategi: Evaluasi strategi dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja organisasi dalam mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Evaluasi strategi melibatkan pengumpulan dan analisis data, serta pengambilan tindakan perbaikan jika diperlukan. Proses manajemen strategi sangat diperlukan dalam bidang pendidikan dan diperlukan metode yang tepat.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of academic supervision on teacher performance in educational research from 2014 to 2023 using bibliometric analysis. This study used the Scopus database and the PRISMA method to search for relevant literature on academic supervision and teacher performance. The analysis used includes WordCloud, word frequency, topic trends, and thematic evolution to analyze journals and conference proceedings. This study highlights the importance of academic supervision in improving teacher performance, with a focus on knowledge development and knowledge transfer. The application of technologies, such as computer vision and convolutional neural networks, can also improve teacher performance. Gender differences in the research approach indicate the need for more in-depth analysis. This research also explores the integration of technology and language analysis, with a focus on network architecture and machine learning. However, this study has limitations, including bibliometric data that does not cover all important aspects and linguistic bias. The results suggest that academic supervision has a significant role in improving teacher performance and modern technology can be an effective tool in this process. This research encourages further development in the use of technology to support academic supervision and teacher performance.
