Abstract

This study aims to see how the use of the Tik Tok application for students in learning citizenship education at PGRI Semarang University is one way to increase creativity in utilizing the latest learning media in accordance with the times and increase student creativity and interest in learning in following the ongoing learning process. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject of 14 students of Physics semester 3, PGRI University Semarang. The results of the study show that 1) the Tik Tok application as a learning medium supports the learning process 2) the Tik Tok application as a learning medium for civic education materials gets a positive response from students. The conclusion of this research is that the Tik Tok application is an application that can be used as a learning medium in the learning process and this application also gets a positive response from students regarding its use as a learning medium for civic education materials

Abstract

Fenomena globalisasi yang semakin kompleks telah melahirkan budaya hibrida yang didominasi oleh pengaruh kebudayaan asing. Kondisi ini sering kali menimbulkan krisis identitas budaya lokal dan nasional, yang pada gilirannya dapat mengakibatkan lunturnya bahkan hilangnya identitas budaya bangsa. Seni musik tradisional karawitan memiliki potensi besar sebagai media untuk menumbuhkan dan memperkuat rasa cinta terhadap tanah air, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam bagaimana seni musik karawitan dalam meningkatkan rasa cinta tanah air di kalangan generasi muda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, yang dipilih karena dinilai paling relevan untuk mengungkap fenomena secara komprehensif, terutama yang berkaitan dengan aspek sosial, budaya, dan perilaku. Metode studi kasus dipilih sebagai kerangka penelitian untuk menggali dan memahami secara mendalam bagaimana Omah Seni Melikan memanfaatkan seni musik karawitan sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan rasa cinta tanah air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seni karawitan memiliki peran strategis dalam melestarikan budaya lokal sekaligus menanamkan nilai-nilai cinta tanah air. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh Omah Seni Melikan, seperti latihan rutin, pementasan di berbagai acara, dan integrasi lagu perjuangan ke dalam karawitan, menunjukkan bahwa seni ini dapat menjadi medium yang efektif untuk memperkuat rasa nasionalisme. Dengan memahami filosofi, sejarah, dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam seni karawitan, generasi muda diharapkan dapat lebih menghargai dan melestarikan identitas bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: The aim of this research was to find out and explain the role of Pancasila and citizenship education teachers in multicultural education. The method belonged to a library research approach. The data collection technique in this research was documentation, namely looking for data regarding variables in the form of books, papers, articles, journals, and so on. The data analysis technique used in this research was the descriptive method,namely research that seeks to describe and interpret what exists, opinions that are growing, ongoing processes, consequences or effects that occur or developing tendencies regarding the idea of ​​the role of Pancasila and citizenship education teachers in multicultural education in schools. The research results showed that the role of Civics teachers is very important in providing multicultural education considering that multicultural education is very important for students who live in a multicultural environment like the Indonesian nation. This helps students used a positive self-concept by providing an understanding of multicultural education, where Civics teachers must have a multicultural education perspective before they teach to students. This is a real challenge for professional Civics teachers. Teachers must be confident and ready to provide multicultural education.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter religius dan nasionalis merupakan fondasi penting dalam membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia dan memiliki jiwa patriotisme. Di era globalisasi ini, tantangan pembentukan karakter semakin kompleks, sehingga diperlukan strategi yang tepat dan efektif dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai religius dan nasionalis pada jenjang pendidikan dasar. MI Islamiyah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam memiliki peran strategis dalam menanamkan kedua nilai tersebut secara seimbang kepada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis strategi pembentukan karakter religius dan nasionalis yang diterapkan di MI Islamiyah Palangka Raya, serta mengidentifikasi efektivitas dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi mendalam terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran dan ekstrakurikuler, wawancara terstruktur dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan peserta didik, serta dokumentasi program-program pembentukan karakter yang telah dilaksanakan. Analisis data menggunakan teknik triangulasi untuk memastikan validitas dan reliabilitas temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MI Islamiyah Palangka Raya menerapkan strategi terintegrasi melalui pembelajaran berbasis nilai, pembiasaan ritual keagamaan, kegiatan upacara bendera, dan program kearifan lokal. Strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesalehan individual dan sosial peserta didik, serta menumbuhkan rasa cinta tanah air yang kuat, dibuktikan dengan peningkatan partisipasi aktif peserta didik dalam kegiatan keagamaan dan nasional.

Abstract

Background: The Society 5.0 era demands fundamental transformation in educational paradigms through integration of cyberphysical systems, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics. Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) faces challenges in integrating national values with global citizenship demands, requiring English-based instruction and futuristic technological support. MAS Darul Amin Palangka Raya encounters strategic challenges in implementing English-based PPKn learning while harmonizing Islamic-Indonesian values with international standards. Aim: This research aims to map readiness levels and analyze factors influencing English-based PPKn learning implementation supported by futuristic technology in the Society 5.0 era at MAS Darul Amin Palangka Raya. Method: This study employed mixed-methods with sequential explanatory design. The quantitative phase utilized Technology Readiness for Futuristic Learning (TRFL) questionnaire adapted from Technology Readiness Index 2.0, involving 201 respondents through proportional stratified random sampling. The qualitative phase conducted semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions with 12 purposively selected informants. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U Test, and thematic analysis following Miles, Huberman, and Saldana framework. Results and Dıscussion: Findings revealed aggregate Technology Readiness Index (TRI) score of 2.74 (moderate category), with high optimism (3.42) balanced by security concerns (3.07) and implementation discomfort (2.89). Significant disparities existed between groups, with Grade 10 students showing highest readiness (2.89) while teachers scored lowest (2.45). Qualitative exploration identified six themes: technology perceptions, infrastructure capacity, cultural resistance, learning expectations, security concerns, and implementation preferences. Integration analysis confirmed convergence on ambivalent readiness and age-related gaps, revealing divergence between theoretical optimism and practical concerns. Conclusion: MAS Darul Amin Palangka Raya demonstrates conditional readiness requiring phased implementation addressing infrastructure limitations, teacher capacity building, cultural adaptation, and equity considerations for sustainable transformation toward Society 5.0 educational paradigm. Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in shaping attitudes of tolerance and the values ​​of Bhineka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) in Generation Z students at Muhammadiyah Junior High School Palangka Raya. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design involving 13 informants, consisting of 9 students (grades VII, VIII, and IX), 2 PPKn teachers, 1 school counselor, and 1 administrative staff. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using a thematic approach with the stages of transcription, coding, identification of main themes, interpretation of findings, and preparation of narrative descriptions. The results showed that PPKn learning played a significant role in internalizing Pancasila values ​​through group strategy discussions, contextual examples, and reflection activities. Students' attitudes of tolerance were formed through formal learning and social interactions in the school environment, with the level of understanding developing according to grade level. Reinforcement of the Bhineka Tunggal Ika value was strengthened through a school culture that supports diversity, flag ceremonies, national day commemorations, and collaborative projects. Exemplary teachers, supportive guidance and counseling services, and inclusive school policies create a conducive educational environment for student character development. This study confirms that PPKn serves as an important vehicle for instilling the values ​​of tolerance and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) in Generation Z, emphasizing the need to strengthen meaningful learning supported by a consistent school culture to develop citizens capable of living harmoniously in a multicultural society and possessing a strong commitment to national unity.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal Kalimantan Tengah dalam pembelajaran multikultural guna memperkuat diplomasi pendidikan di Sekolah Indonesia di Kuala Lumpur. Pendekatan ini mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dengan teknologi imersif (VR) dalam konteks diplomasi pendidikan internasional. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah masih terbatasnya integrasi budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran serta minimnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat memperkenalkan kekayaan budaya Indonesia kepada siswa yang berada dalam lingkungan internasional. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan modul pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal, pelatihan guru, implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan media digital, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan meliputi Virtual Reality (VR), flipbook digital, dan video edukatif yang menampilkan budaya Kalimantan Tengah seperti falsafah Huma Betang, tradisi Gawi Hatantiring, dan permainan tradisional Balogo. Novelty kegiatan ini adalah integrasi sistematis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dengan media pembelajaran digital berbasis pengalaman (immersive learning) untuk memperkuat identitas budaya siswa diaspora dalam lingkungan pendidikan multikultural internasional. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman budaya siswa dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 64,2 menjadi 83,5 setelah implementasi pembelajaran. Selain itu, respon positif siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran digital mencapai 78–86%. Kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran multikultural. Dengan demikian, integrasi kearifan lokal berbasis teknologi digital dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam memperkuat identitas budaya siswa sekaligus mendukung diplomasi pendidikan Indonesia di lingkungan internasional. Integration of Local Wisdom in Multicultural Learning to Strengthen Educational Diplomacy in Indonesian Schools in Kuala Lumpur Abstract This community service activity aims to integrate Central Kalimantan local wisdom into multicultural learning to strengthen educational diplomacy at the Indonesian School in Kuala Lumpur. The main problem faced by partners is the limited integration of local culture in learning and the minimal use of innovative learning media that can introduce Indonesia's cultural richness to students in an international environment. To address these problems, the community service activity was implemented through a participatory approach that included the stages of needs analysis, development of local wisdom-based learning modules, teacher training, implementation of learning using digital media, and activity evaluation. The learning media developed included Virtual Reality (VR), digital flipbooks, and educational videos that showcase Central Kalimantan culture such as the Huma Betang philosophy, the Gawi Hatantiring tradition, and the traditional Balogo game. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' cultural understanding with an average score increasing from 64.2 to 83.5 after the implementation of the learning. In addition, students' positive response to the use of digital learning media reached 78–86%. This activity also increased teachers' capacity in integrating local wisdom into multicultural learning. Thus, the integration of local wisdom based on digital technology can be an effective strategy in strengthening students' cultural identity while supporting Indonesia's educational diplomacy in the international environment.
