Abstract

The rapid development that occurs in the construction sector is important because the construction sector is an important part of the development of a country. The rapid development and high level of project complexity require construction service providers to work more effectively and efficiently. Currently, the development of technology and communication science is able to answer these problems, one of which is by using Building Information Modeling (BIM), which facilitates a more integrated design and construction process in order to obtain efficient results. Stages of research methodology: 1) Preparatory stage; 2) Data collection stage; 3) 3D modelling stage with Autodesk Revit; 4) Clash Check examination stage; 5) Stage of releasing work volume; 6) Stage of preparing The Cost Budget Plan (RAB); 7) Stage of drawing conclusions and presenting results. Overall, the total price difference between the total price using the total volume of work contained in the Bill of Quantity (BoQ) results in a greater total price than using the total volume of work produced by Autodesk Revit, with the following indicators: There is a calculation error in the form of human error in the process of preparing the RAB using the total volume of work contained in the BoQ by planning consultants, such as material double-count errors. From this research, it can be concluded: 1) Modeling with Autodesk Revit greatly speeds up planning work because it is very complex to be applied to various construction projects; 2) The use of BIM is very efficient due to the full-integrity facility; and 3) Output volume issued can minimize human error in calculating work volume manually. Minimizing human error greatly affects the contractor's profit.

Abstract

Visual-spatial thinking ability is an important ability for students in understanding and solving geometry problems. This study aims to develop a test instrument for students' visual-spatial thinking ability based on pattern batik Ceplok-Ceplok Jatipelem Jombang. This research is a development research (R&D) with the Tessmer model which consists of preliminary, self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation, and field test evaluation stages. The subjects of this study were students of class IX MTs Negeri 3 Jombang. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, and walkthroughs through test instruments and validation sheets. Analysis of the test results was carried out with the Rasch model approach assisted by Ministep software. The results obtained 4 items of descriptive questions that fulfill (1) Validity is satisfied based on the 0.5 < MNSQ < 1.5, -2.0 < ZSTD < +2.0, dan 0.4 < Pt Measure Corr < 0.85; (2) Reliability of respondents is categorized as sufficient, items are categorized as excellent, and the relationship between the two is categorized as good; (3) The level of difficulty of the test instrument varies at the easy, medium, and difficult levels. (4) The differentiating power of the questions is categorized as good and very good to use. So, it shows that the test instrument to measure the ability of visual-spatial thinking based on pattern batik Ceplok-Ceplok Jatipelem Jombang on geometric transformation material satisfies the criteria worthy to be used.

Abstract

Abstract

Mathematics learning needs to be designed into attractive learning so that students can be motivated to learn and improve mathematics achievement. LKPD with Ethno-STEM learning approach becomes an alternative media that attracts students. This study aims to analyze the results of students' attractiveness responses to the use of Ethno-STEM based geometry transformation material LKPD. The data collection technique uses an interest questionnaire, then supported by student interviews. The study showed that the students' response to the use of geometry transformation material LKPD based on Ethno-STEM obtained an average score of 86.0% with the qualification “very attractive”. The assessment is based on the components of the attractiveness of the cover, content, images/illustrations, math material, learning related to local culture, and learning related to STEM elements. Ethno-STEM-based geometry transformation LKPD has a very attractiveness response from its users. For further research, it is recommended to test the effectiveness of geometry transformation material LKPD based on Ethno-STEM.
