Abstract

The orientation of learning and education in the 21st century in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 refers to the realization of 21st century life skills. The 21st Century Skills/Competencies/Skills are: 1).Creativity, namely new ideas, concepts, or products that meet the needs of the world. 2) Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, the ability to design and manage projects, solve problems, and make effective decisions using a variety of tools and resources. 3) Communication. not only for the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and with various digital tools, but also listening skills, and 4) Collaboration. As educators at Dharma Andalas University, one of the Community Service (PKM) lecturer groups consisting of 3 (three) lecturers of the Information Systems study program held Gamification training activities for students of SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 Solok City. This training aims to enable students to build game applications that can avoid boredom and foster their focus and interest in teaching materials using the QuickApp Ninja application. The application that is built is expected to produce works in the form of student creativity that supports the learning process so that this PKM activity becomes one of Dharma Andalas University's efforts to help students to improve their performance in tests and academic assignments.

Abstract

This study proposes a Neural Collaborative Filtering (NCF) model for tourism recommendation systems by integrating user ratings and review data. This model was developed to overcome the limitations of conventional recommendation systems that rely solely on numerical data, by adding contextual information from user reviews to improve the accuracy of preference prediction. The development process includes data preprocessing, conversion of text reviews into numerical representations using embedding techniques, and the application of NCF models with various parameter configurations. Experimental results show that the NCF model that combines rating and review data produces the best performance with Root mean Square Error (RMSE) values of 0.892, Hit Ratio at 10( HR@10) of 0.735, and Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain at 10 (NDCG@10) of 0.629, outperforming models that only use one type of data. These results demonstrate that combining numerical and textual information can improve the model's understanding of user preferences, resulting in more relevant tourist destination recommendations. These findings contribute to the development of artificial intelligence-based recommendation systems in the tourism sector.

Abstract

It will be necessary for attraction managers within hotels to track guests' lifestyles to keep the business running. Such an understanding may be achieved, for example by analyzing reviews on attractions to capture the attitudes of the visitors towards the services and business within the tourism industry. The approach utilizes web scraping to gather user-generated reviews, using text preprocessing, data pre-processing, and further improvement of the model using labelled sentiment data divided into three sentiment classes: positive, negative, or neutral. The dataset consisting of 908 reviews were divided in 70:15:15 ratio for training, validation and testing. Model performance was measured in terms of accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score. In this study, the BERT deep learning model is used to classify sentiments of Indonesian tourist. Using the SmallBERT variant fine-tuned on 515k reviews for 5 epochs, the model achieved 91.40% accuracy, 90.51% precision, recall, and F1 score. The results indicate a dominance of positive sentiments, visualized using tableau. This research provides a robust foundation for developing intelligent sentiment-based recommendation systems in the tourism sector and suggests future exploration using other transformer-based models such as GPT, T5, or BART for comparative analysis.

Abstract

This research implements the Laravel framework in the development of an e-commerce application for Jago Software Store. The component-based software development method is employed for requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Laravel framework provides robust features in route management, user management, database management, and security. Components such as product management, category management, shopping cart, payment system, and delivery system are implemented with modularization, facilitating maintenance and further development. The result is an efficient and reliable e-commerce application for Jago Software Store.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and farmer groups are a source of the community's economy in Kamang Magek District. SMEs are engaged in various fields such as food and processed products, crafts and carvings, furniture, agricultural and animal husbandry products, while farmer groups in Kamang Magek District also vary from horticultural crops, food crops and plantation crops. In the Livestock sector, there are also poultry livestock, both broiler and laying eggs, small and large ruminants as well as processed agricultural and livestock products. Several SMEs and farmer groups in the Kamang Magek sub-district raised the local wisdom of Kamang Magek, such as kamang crackers, kamang coffee, Kamang duck, Kamang mangosteen, embroidery, and kamang special furniture. Currently, SMEs and Farmer Groups are experiencing difficulties in developing their businesses due to business capital constraints and most of them are even trapped in loans with high interest rates. SMEs have not been able to determine the amount of working capital they need for business development, they do not take into account the size of the loan with their production capacity or business results, so the amount of loans made does not match the actual funding or working capital needs. This has resulted in the amount of the loan submitted being too large in excess of requirements or the amount of the loan being too small so that it is not sufficient for business needs. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to provide counseling to SMEs and farmer groups regarding financial management.
