Abstract

Uji coba budidaya rumput laut Codium sp. dengan bobot bibit berbeda pada media penumbuhan berupa limbah cair tambak udang super intensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan rumput laut Codium sp. dalam menyerap unsur nitrogen dan fosfor dari media budidaya udang. Penelitian dilakukan selama 45 hari di Instalasi Tambak Percobaan (ITP) Balai Penelitian dan Pengembangan Budidaya Air Payau (BPPBAP), Desa Punaga, Kecamatan Mangarabombang, Kabupaten Takalar. Wadah yang digunakan adalah kotak plastik berukuran 87 cm x 64 cm dengan ketinggian air di dalam wadah 40 cm. Penelitian terdiri atas 4 perlakuan bobot Codium sp. yaitu A (50 g), B (100 g), C (50 g) dan D (200 g) dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dan uji lanjut W-Tuckey menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penyerapan yang dilakukan oleh rumput laut Codium sp. dengan bobot bibit 200 g yang menghasilkan laju penyerapan N-total tertinggi 0.1133±0.01155% sedangkan laju penyerapan P-Total tertinggi yaitu pada bobot 100 g dengan nilai 0.00500±0.002646%. A B S T R A C T Cultivation of Codium sp. seaweed with different seed weights on the growth media in the form of super intensive shrimp pond liquid waste is a promising method for seaweed aquaculture. The study was conducted for 45 days at the Experimental Pond Installation (ITP) Research and Development Center for Brackish Water Aquaculture (BPPBAP), Punaga Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. A plastic box is used by the container in this research measuring 87 cm x 64 cm with a water level of 40. The study consisted of 4 weight treatments of Codium sp. namely A (50 g), B (100 g), C (50 g) and D (200 g) and each treatment was repeated three times. Data of research is analyzed by ANOVA with a 95% confidence level and further W-Tuckey test using SPSS version 23 software. The results showed that there was an effect of absorption by seaweed Codium sp. with a seed weight of 200 g resulting in the highest N-total absorption rate of 0.1133±0.01155%, while the highest P-Total absorption rate was at a weight of 100 g with a value of 0.00500±0.002646%.

Abstract

Probiotik Effective Microorganisme 4 (EM4) mengandung 90% bakteri Lactobacillus casei dan Streptomyces casei yang mampu meningkatkan daya serap nutrisi dalam pakan, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai cadangan makanan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan organisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai dosis probiotik EM4 pada pakan buatan terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan benih ikan nila. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Benih Ikan Air Tawar Seppong Matakali, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yang terdiri dari perlakuan A (tanpa penambahan probiotik atau kontrol), perlakuan B (penambahan probiotik EM4 15 mL/kg pakan), perlakuan C (penambahan probiotik EM4 20 mL/kg pakan), dan perlakuan D (penambahan probiotik EM4 25 mL/kg pakan). Benih yang digunakan berukuran 3-4 cm dengan berat rata-rata 1,13±0,93 gram/ekor. Selama pemeliharaan benih diberi pakan pellet PF 1000 sebanyak 5% dari bobot tubuh dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan sebanyak 3 kali sehari. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan berbagai dosis probiotik EM4 pada pakan buatan dengan dosis 0, 15 mL, 20 mL, dan 25 mL memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (p<0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan ikan nila, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (p>0,05) terhadap sintasan benih ikan nila. Penambahan probiotik EM4 dengan dosis 20 mL/kg pakan memberikan hasil yang terbaik dengan pertumbuhan berat mutlak sebesar 25,00 g, laju pertumbuhan harian sebesar 83,33% dan sintasan benih sebesar 97,67%.

Abstract

Purpose: Improving community understanding of coastal spatial conditions, providing coastal spatial information in Tandung Village. Methodology: The location of the activity is in Tandung Village, Tinambung District, West Sulawesi. The activity went through the counseling stage, data recording using DJI 4 brand unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology. The results of the data recording were processed using Agisoft software to produce a coastal spatial map. At the end of the activity, an evaluation was carried out to determine the achievement of the activity's objectives. Results: The community, especially the village government, began to recognize the use of technology for mapping that had never been seen directly before. The community was very enthusiastic when shown and given the opportunity to see the operation of drones for mapping. Information is available regarding the use of space activities on the coast of Tandung Village, especially related to the aquaculture activity and attracting the attention of the village government to initiate comprehensive spatial mapping in Tandung Village. Conclusions: Community service activities in Tandung Village have succeeded in increasing government and community understanding of UAV technology for mapping, which has encouraged initiatives to utilize drones in identifying land use for fisheries, agriculture, and plantations. Limitations: A fairly large coastal area requires time to record data using drones. Contribution: The results of the activity contribute to the provision of spatial data on coastal utilization in Tandung Village along with identification of potential that can be explored.

Abstract

AbstrakKeluhan paling umum terjadi tingginya kandungan limbah organik dan nutrien dari buangan air tambak menyebabkan adanya penurunan kualitas lingkungan perairan. Berdasarkan hasil pemantauan kondisi eksisting ditemukan bahwa selama ini yang dilakukan oleh POKDAKAN Sipodalle’ dalam mengelola limbah hasil kegiatan budidaya ikannya terbilang kurang tepat dikarenakan buangannya langsung ke laut atau perairan sekitar tambak karena tidak adanya pemahaman mengenai dampak pencemaran air dan juga sebuah penggunaan biomonitoring yang diketahui dalam pengelolaan limbah cair. Pengabdian bertujuan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pembudidaya akan dampak pencemaran air dan Adanya pengaplikasian biomonitoring menggunakan Caulerpa sp. di lokasi budidaya Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan (POKDAKAN) Sipodalle’ beranggotakan 10 orang. Metode pelaksanaan berawal dari kegiatan edukasi terkait dampak pencemaran perairan khususnya pada lokasi budidaya dilakukan sebanyak 1 (kali). Kegiatan edukasi dilaksanakan dengan metode penyuluhan dengan melibatkan narasumber yang memiliki pengetahuan dan pengalaman praktik terkait pencemaran perairan. Mitra terlibat sebagai peserta pada kegiatan edukasi serta mengundang komunitas serta jaringan kelompok budidaya ikan lainnya dan untuk menggiatkan informasi terkait pentingnya menjaga kualitas air perairan maka diadakan instalasi biomonitoring Caulerpa sp. di lokasi budidaya mitra dan akan dilibatkan bersama mahasiswa dalam proses pengadaan instalasi tersebut serta penggunaan Caulerpa sp. diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu penghasilan tambahan dari budidaya ikan yang dilakukan mitra dalam kegitan tersebut akan dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif antara tim pengusul, mitra, dan mahasiswa. Hasil yang didapatkan Adanya kesadaran pembudidaya ikan untuk lebih memperhatikan lingkungan perairan dan tersedianya biomonitoring yang dapat mengelola limbah hasil budidaya perikanan yang dikelola oleh mitra. Kata kunci: biomonitoring; caulerpa sp.; limbah; mitra; pencemaran. Abstract The most common complaint is that the high content of organic waste and nutrients from pond waste causes a decrease in the quality of the aquatic environment. Based on the results of monitoring existing conditions, it was found that so far what POKDAKAN Sipodalle’ has done in managing waste from its fish farming activities is somewhat inappropriate because the waste goes directly into the sea or waters around the pond because there is no understanding of the impact of water pollution and also the use of biomonitoring which is known in liquid waste management. The service aims to increase farmers’ understanding of the impact of water pollution and the application of biomonitoring using Caulerpa sp. at the Sipodalle’ Fish Farmers Group (POKDAKAN) cultivation location, there are 10 members. The implementation method begins with educational activities related to the impact of water pollution, especially at cultivation location, carried out 1 (time). Educational activities are carried out using the outreach method involving resource persons who have practical knowledge and experience related to water pollution. Pantners are involved as participants in educational activities and invite communities and network of other fish farming group and to increase information regarding the importance of maintaining water quality, a Caulerpa sp. biomonitoring installation will be held at partner cultivation locations and students will be involved in the process of procuring the installation and the of Caulerpa sp. it is hope that it can be used as an additional income from fish farming carrier out by partners. This activity will be carried out collaboratively between the proposing team, partners and students. Result obtained there is awareness of fish farmers to pay more attention to the aquatic environment and the availability of biomonitoring which can manage waste from fish farming managed by partners. Keywords: biomonitoring; caulerpa sp.; partner; pollution; waste

Abstract

The issue of marine debris is part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) topic, especially on agenda 12 related to responsible consumption and production and agenda 14 marine ecosystems. The existence of community activities on the coast including tourism can be a source of marine debris problems because they contribute to the increase in waste from tourists. Barane Beach, Majene Regency is a tourism development area where one of the groups actively managing the area is the Barane Beach Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS). The method of implementing activities using the counseling method and technology procurement includes three stages, namely: (1) coastal clean-up action, (2) waste management education, and (3) procurement of separate trash bins. The results of the education activities show an increase in public perception regarding the cleanliness of waste at coastal tourist locations and a good understanding of waste management.

Abstract

Mariculture activities play a significant role in contributing to the country's foreign exchange, as many of its products are exported abroad. Mamuju Regency, situated in West Sulawesi Province, is part of the eastern region of Indonesia and boasts vast potential for mariculture due to its abundant natural resources. However, farmers face several challenges, particularly oceanographic factors such as large waves, variations in freshwater input, and nutrient concentrations from land-based activities. These factors can negatively impact aquaculture media and alter oceanographic conditions, potentially threatening cultivation. The goal of this study was to examine the spatial and temporal dynamics of oceanographic conditions and assess the feasibility of waters for mariculture activities. The research was conducted in the waters around Karampuang Island in Mamuju Regency, using a descriptive quantitative approach. This involved determining sampling stations, measuring water quality both in situ and ex situ, analyzing data to assess the suitability of the waters for mariculture, and creating a GIS-based land suitability map. The results show that the water conditions in Karampuang Island are pretty dynamic, with varying water quality parameters observed, indicating diverse suitability for mariculture. For seaweed cultivation, station 3 was categorized as quite suitable, while stations 1 and 2 were considered appropriate. However, for KJA system cultivation, only station 1 consistently supports cultivation. Further studies are needed to monitor the water quality periodically and conduct cultivation trials to optimize farming activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunnan limbah cair budidaya udang vaname dan bandeng sebagai media pertumbuhan Nannochloropsis sp. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan april 2024. Selama 9 Hari di Balai Benih Ikan Pantai (BBIP) Poniang, Kabupaten Majene, Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 2 (dua) perlakuan masing-masing 3 (tiga) ulangan yaitu perlakuan A (limbah cair budidaya udang vaname), perlakuan B (limbah cair budidaya ikan bandeng. Parameter yang diuji pertumbuhan harian, dan kepadatan populasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis ragam (Independent-Samples T Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengaruh penggunaan limbah cair budidaya udang dan bandeng untuk pertumbuhan Nannochloropsis sp. berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) pada hari ke-4 dengan nilai pertumbuhaan harian tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan A (limbah cair budidaya udang vaname) yaitu 71.333 sel/mL. Sedangkan kepadatan populasi tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan A (limbah cair budidaya udang vaname) yaitu 54.889 sel/mL, sedangkan perlakuan B 40.889 sel/mL.
