Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of social media on teenagers in Indonesia. Teenagers are trapped in digital social life due to excessive use of social media in living a variety of lifestyles. The presence of social media changes the private environment into a public environment. Teenagers do everything on social media to determine and shape their self-identity. Therefore, this article discusses the influence of social media in the formation of adolescent identity. The research method used is a qualitative research method, more precisely library research. Specific characteristics that are used as a basis for developing research knowledge include; This research is confronted directly with the data or text presented, not with field data or through eyewitnesses in the form of events, researchers only deal directly with sources that already exist in the library or ready-to-use data, as well as secondary data used. The research results found that social media influences one's self-perception and identity formation is a complex phenomenon that has both positive and negative effects. Social media can be a powerful tool for communicating and building identity, but it can also lead to mental health problems, negative comparisons, and social stress. How people see themselves can be influenced by edited content, balloon filters, and pressure to conform to standards. Conversely, social media can facilitate social support, positive interactions, and the exchange of ideas that can increase a person's self-confidence. Individuals should understand the possible impact, maintain balance in social media use, and select content carefully

Abstract

This study aims to increase the activeness of students' critical thinking in Sociology Learning by applying the Problem-Based Learning Model. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPS 1 at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar with a total of 17 students, consisting of 8 male students and 9 female students. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using a class action research design consisting of two cycles. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, student learning outcomes tests, and field notes. In this study, a multiple choice test was conducted at the end of the cycle. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average value of 60 and an average percentage value of 60%, while the classical completeness of 60% was in the sufficient category and continued in the next cycle in cycle II action obtained an average of 83 .0, the average percentage gain is 83.0% with 90% classical completeness in the very good category. The results of the data on cycle II activities have fulfilled the KKM which has been determined by the student learning outcomes in thematic learning obtained by cycle I and cycle II indicating that there has been an average increase of 30%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model can increase the activeness of critical thinking in learning Sociology in class X IPS 1 at Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar High School in the 2022/2023 Academic Year.

Abstract

Partai politik berfungsi sebagai perantara yang menghubungkan ideologi dan kekuatan sosial dengan lembaga pemerintahan yang resmi serta mengaitkannya dengan tindakan politik yang lebih luas di dalam masyarakat dengan tujuan memperoleh kekuasaan politik secara konstitusional pada masyarakat modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji tentang perbedaan ideologi yang menyebabkan konflik politik di masyarakat modern. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan atau library research dan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Berbagai ideologi bersaing dan saling bertentangan di masyarakat modern, yang menghasilkan konflik politik yang kompleks. Pertarungan ideologi dan konflik politik dalam masyarakat modern menciptakan dinamika kompleks yang mencerminkan perubahan dan tantangan dalam kehidupan sosial Penting untuk memahami bahwa pertarungan ini dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam proses transformasi masyarakat jika dielola dengan bijaksana dan berlandaskan dialog terbuka serta toleransi. Dengan demikian, kajian ini merinci elemen-elemen kritis yang terlibat dalam dinamika pertarungan ideologi yang memicu konflik politik dalam masyarakat modern.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the contribution of marine tourism to coastal communities in Indonesia, with a focus on a maritime sociology perspective. Marine tourism is a form of tourism related to activities and destinations centered around the sea or waters. This research utilizes maritime sociology as a relevant perspective for understanding the social life of coastal communities. Maritime sociology is applied as a study involving values, norms and social interactions that are formed through the connection of coastal communities with the sea. The research method uses a qualitative library study approach. Using a literature study approach, this research explores and analyzes various literature sources related to the social impacts of marine tourism in Indonesia's coastal areas. The research results show that (1) Increased social interaction between coastal communities and tourists, creating new dynamics in social relations. (2) The values ​​and norms of coastal communities are influenced, both through cultural exchange with tourists and through adaptation to new values. (3) The social structure is experiencing changes.
