Abstract

The dynamics within online communities are an interesting subject of exploration, especially when we consider the interaction patterns and their influence in the rapidly evolving digital era. This research aims to explore in depth the interaction patterns formed within online communities and analyze the influence of online communities on their members. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods will involve in-depth interviews, participant observation, and content analysis. Qualitative data will be analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. It was found that the dominating interaction patterns, such as in-depth discussions, exchange of experiences, and collaboration on joint projects, provide a solid foundation for intellectual growth and the development of personal relationships within the community.

Abstract

The oppression of women is a lingering reality in many societies. It is important to continue fighting gender inequality and promoting women's rights. Solidarity and education are key in changing the mindset and systems that support such oppression. The purpose of this study is to provide a snapshot for women out there who are still blind to the prevailing system of patriarchy, encouraging women's awareness and understanding of gender inequality. Through the results of this study, it is hoped to motivate women to be actively involved in social change towards a more just and equal society. This research method is a Qualitative method with a library study approach, researchers look for information from a variety of clear sources, so that researchers can guarantee that this research is accurate. The results of this study show that there are already many Feminism movements that play an important role in voicing and fighting gender inequality. These findings reflect the growing awareness and participation of women in efforts to tear down the structure of patriarchy. Nonetheless, challenges remain, and this study confirms the need to continue to drive social change in order to achieve broader gender equality in a sustainable way for generations to come.

Abstract

Natural disasters are events that require significant attention, and it is imperative to protect nature and remain submissive to the Creator. The purpose of this research is to express the author's concern regarding the tragedy that occurred in the city of Palu, Central Sulawesi, on September 28, 2018. In this study, the researcher employed a literature review method, sourcing references from journals, books, and information related to the Palu tragedy at that time. The findings of this research indicate that on September 28, 2018, at 18:42 WITA, a natural disaster occurred in the form of a 7.4 magnitude earthquake, followed by a tsunami and liquefaction. This was triggered by underwater sediment landslides. Mythical aspects related to this tragedy are issues that have not been scientifically validated. The Nomoni Festival, which includes the Balia Dance, is considered by some community members to be contrary to their religious beliefs. Some people believe that such practices invite divine wrath, manifesting as natural disasters. However, scientific explanations for the disaster indicate that the earthquake and tsunami were the result of tectonic activity, which can be geologically explained. It is essential to combine scientific understanding with respect for local beliefs to enhance disaster preparedness and mitigation in the future. This research aims not only to reveal the scientific facts behind the Palu tragedy but also to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining ecological balance and gaining a deeper understanding of natural phenomena.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' active critical thinking in Civics Learning by implementing the Discovery Learning Learning Model. The subjects in this research were class X DKV students at SMKN 2 Maros with a total of 34 students, consisting of 21 male students and 13 female students. The research method used in this research is Kemmis and Mc Taggart using a classroom action research design consisting of two cycles. In this research, it is a multiple choice test which is carried out at the end of the cycle. The results of this research show that student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average score of 60 and an average percentage score of 60%, while classical completeness was 60% in the sufficient category and continued in the next cycle in the second cycle actions obtained an average of 83 .0, the average percentage score of 83.0% with classical completeness of 90% is in the very good category. The results of the data in cycle II activities have met the KKM which has been determined by student learning outcomes in PPKn learning obtained in cycle I and cycle II, showing that there has been an average increase of 30%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model can increase active critical thinking in PPKn learning for class X DKV students at SMKN 2 Maros for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the activeness of students' critical thinking in Sociology Learning by applying the Problem-Based Learning Model. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPS 1 at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar with a total of 17 students, consisting of 8 male students and 9 female students. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using a class action research design consisting of two cycles. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, student learning outcomes tests, and field notes. In this study, a multiple choice test was conducted at the end of the cycle. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average value of 60 and an average percentage value of 60%, while the classical completeness of 60% was in the sufficient category and continued in the next cycle in cycle II action obtained an average of 83 .0, the average percentage gain is 83.0% with 90% classical completeness in the very good category. The results of the data on cycle II activities have fulfilled the KKM which has been determined by the student learning outcomes in thematic learning obtained by cycle I and cycle II indicating that there has been an average increase of 30%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model can increase the activeness of critical thinking in learning Sociology in class X IPS 1 at Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar High School in the 2022/2023 Academic Year.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi tantangan konflik agama, dibutuhkan upaya bersama dari masyarakat, pemimpin agama, dan pemerintah. Melalui dialog terbuka, peningkatan pendidikan, dan nilai-nilai toleransi, fondasi untuk meredakan ketegangan dapat dibangun. Peran penting pemimpin agama dalam menyuarakan pesan perdamaian dan memfasilitasi kerjasama antaragama menjadi krusial. Penerapan hukum yang adil dan keamanan efektif menjaga ketertiban, sementara tanggung jawab media dalam membentuk opini publik memegang peranan signifikan. Dukungan internasional diperlukan untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perdamaian. Kesadaran bahwa penanganan konflik agama membutuhkan waktu, kesabaran, dan komitmen bersama menjadi kunci untuk membangun masyarakat yang damai, inklusif, dan saling menghormati.
