Abstract

Nowadays, technology is developing very quickly and bringing many changes to how people live, especially in buying and selling. This certainly influences students in consumptive behavior. It is not uncommon for students to have a habit of buying something based on desire alone, so it is hoped that students have both behavioral and cognitive self-control to prioritize needs over desires. The study aimed to determine whether self-control influences the consumptive behavior of online shopping application users in fashion design students. This research was conducted with simple linear regression statistical analysis. The subjects in the study were 96 fashion design students. The measuring instrument for this study is the self-control scale previously used by Dzihan (2020) and the consumptive behavior scale developed by Dzihan (2020). The results showed that self-control influences the consumptive behavior of online shopping application users in Fashion design students, with a significant value of 0.000 and an R-value of 0.543. Self-control contributed 28.5%. A total of 48 students have high consumptive behavior, and 79 students have moderate self-control. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that self-control influences a person's consumptive behavior. However, there are still several aspects that influence student consumptive behavior. It is hoped that further research can expand and develop other actors to be studied.

Abstract

Preschool children are children aged 5 to 6 years who have various potentials. According to the World Health Organization's (WHO) 2019 report, 5-25% of preschool-aged children experience difficulties with their social-emotional skills, which have an impact on their readiness for school. Appropriate and engaging stimulation is crucial for supporting the social and emotional development of preschool children. Based on this background, this study aims to determine whether there are changes in the social-emotional abilities of preschool children before and after being given treatment in the form of drawing and storytelling activities. This study employed a quantitative experimental approach, utilizing a one-group pre-post test design. Data collection was conducted by involving raters who used observation sheets and documentation during the study. The participants in this study were 14 children from Group B at Taman Kanak-Kanak X, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. The results of this study showed that there were changes in the social-emotional abilities of preschool children before and after treatment in the form of an increase in several aspects of behavior through drawing and storytelling activities. This can occur because, during the activity, children have much interaction with their peers and can express the feelings or emotions they feel through the results of the drawing.

Abstract

An individual who achieves self-acceptance will approach any situation they encounter with objectivity, which facilitates a positive life. Peer social support is one of the components influencing self-acceptance. Korean roleplaying adolescents in Group M feel less accepted in real life, suggesting that their concept of self-acceptance is not fully developed and that there is a deficiency in peer social support in real life. The aim of this study is to examine the influence and contribution of social support on self-acceptance. Data were collected using a quantitative approach with random sampling. The study sample comprised senior Korean roleplayers in Group M, totaling 43 subjects. The results indicate that peer social support significantly affects self-acceptance among Korean roleplayers in Group M (Sig = 0.012; sig < 0.05). Peer social support accounts for 14.4% of the variance in self-acceptance among these roleplayers (R Square = 0.144). The implications of these findings suggest that roleplayers should enhance their real-life peer relationships to better experience peer social support, thereby aiding their self-acceptance process. Future research is recommended to explore other variables such as family social support and self-concept.
