Abstract

The ability to differentiate standard language from non-standard language is an important aspect in learning Indonesian. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of using Enhanced Spelling (EYD) in improving students' ability to differentiate between standard and non-standard language. The method used is a literature study by examining in depth the EYD guidelines published by the Language Development and Development Agency, as well as analyzing scientific journals related to the application of EYD in learning. The results of the study show that the EYD guidelines provide a list of standard and non-standard words arranged alphabetically as well as clear and systematic rules for writing standard language. Several previous studies revealed that intensive use of word lists and rules can increase students' mastery of standard vocabulary and understanding of the differences between standard and non-standard language. However, the obstacle in implementing EYD in the field is the teacher's lack of understanding of the existing rules. Therefore, intensive training and socialization is needed for teachers so that the use of EYD can be optimal in improving students' ability to differentiate between standard and non-standard languages. This research concludes that the EYD guide is a very effective source for improving these abilities by providing a clear list of words and standard language rules as a guide for teachers and students.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative approach to evaluate the effectiveness of traffic signs in improving road safety in Indonesia. Through a series of methods, including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study, this research aims to understand how traffic signs contribute to road safety and what factors influence their effectiveness. The results show that traffic signs play an important role in controlling traffic flow and preventing accidents. However, their effectiveness is often hindered by several factors. First, a lack of understanding by road users about traffic signs. Second, poor maintenance of traffic signs. Third, weak law enforcement. Based on these findings, this research recommends several steps to improve the effectiveness of traffic signs. First, increasing public education about the importance of obeying traffic signs. Second, routine and quality maintenance and repair of traffic signs. Third, stronger and consistent law enforcement against traffic violations. This research hopes that with the implementation of these recommendations, the effectiveness of traffic signs in improving road safety can be increased.

Abstract

Paham radikalisme dan fundamentalisme agama merupakan ancaman nyata bagi prinsip Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa dalam Pancasila dan demokrasi di Indonesia. Kedua paham ini cenderung memonopoli kebenaran ajaran agama, menolak interpretasi lain, dan seringkali diikuti tindakan kekerasan atas nama agama, sehingga berpotensi melanggar hak kelompok lain, mengganggu harmoni sosial, serta mengancam prinsip demokrasi yang menghargai keberagaman, kebebasan berpendapat, dan perlindungan hak minoritas. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur dan analisis isi ini mengidentifikasi tantangan tersebut dan mengeksplorasi peran lembaga pendidikan serta organisasi keagamaan dalam upaya mitigasi. Deradikalisasi dan kontra-narasi yang melibatkan pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, organisasi keagamaan, dan masyarakat sipil sangat diperlukan. Lembaga pendidikan dapat mengintegrasikan materi multikulturalisme, dialog antaragama, dan pemahaman inklusif ke dalam kurikulum untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman sejak dini. Sementara itu, organisasi keagamaan dapat mempromosikan pemahaman moderat terhadap ajaran agama serta mendorong dialog dan kerja sama antaragama untuk memperkuat harmoni sosial.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of professional teacher organizations on the development of teacher professionalism in junior high schools. Teachers as professionals need a platform to improve their competence and develop themselves on an ongoing basis. Teacher professional organizations play an important role in facilitating teacher professionalism development activities. This research uses a library method by collecting and reviewing various literature sources such as books, journals, research reports and scientific articles that are relevant to the research topic. The collected data was then analyzed qualitatively to determine the influence of professional teacher organizations on the development of teacher professionalism. The research results show that professional teacher organizations make a significant contribution in improving teachers' pedagogical, personal, social and professional competencies through various activities such as training, seminars, scientific discussion forums, as well as providing the latest learning resources and information.
