Abstract

Patients who are going for sectio caesarea, face uncomfortable feelings including anxiety, this is related to concerns about the threat to their lives, therefore, family support is very important to reduce anxiety, because it can increase the spirit of life and reduce patient anxiety and strengthen commitment to undergoing treatment. The purpose of the study was to understand the relationship between family support and anxiety levels of preoperative sectio caesarea patients at the MA Sentot Patrol Hospital, Indramayu. This study uses a quantitative research design with non-experimental methods and a descriptive approach. The population in this study were all patients who underwent sectio caesarea surgery as many as 42 patients and the sample used a total sampling technique, where the entire population was taken as a sample. The results of the study: 59.5% of families supported preoperative sectio caesarea patients, 31% of preoperative sectio caesarea patients experienced mild anxiety and 23.8% experienced severe anxiety, based on the chi square statistical test obtained p value 0.000 < (0.05) . Conclusion: there is a relationship between family support and anxiety levels of preoperative sectio caesarea patients at the MA Sentot Patrol Hospital, Indramayu Regency. Suggestion: for nurses, considering that there is a relationship between family support and the patient's level of anxiety, they should provide nursing interventions, especially for preoperative sectio caesarea patients, involving the family, so that the impact of the patient is calm in facing the sectio caesarea operation.

Abstract

Public Health Nursing (Perkesmas) is one of the health centers' efforts that supports the improvement of public health status by integrating nursing knowledge/practice with public health through the support of active community participation. Perkesmas service activities can be carried out inside and outside the Puskesmas building. Nurses provide nursing care for individuals who come to the puskesmas, provide family nursing care and nursing care for special groups/health-prone groups in the Perkesmas target area (home visits to vulnerable families). The problem for partners who are appointed in this community service program is the Documentation of Individual Nursing Care in the Perkesmas program which is less than optimal. This program offers solutions that are expected to help solve partner problems. The method used is to develop an application system in the documentation of individual nursing care in the health care program. As a result of this community service program, partners have an application system that will make it easier for community health workers in documenting individual nursing care in the community health program. The results of this program will also be published in accredited national or international journals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of dietary approaches to stop hypertension (DASH) health education on dietary compliance and blood pressure in hypertensive patients located in the Kertasemaya Health Centre Working Area, Indramayu Regency. The research method used Quasi Experimental Pre-Post Test with Control Group by providing health education to the intervention group. Consecutive sampling was selected in sampling with inclusion criteria, namely 160-190 mmHg systole blood pressure, 90-100 mmHg diastole blood pressure, no disease complications, and adult age. The exclusion criteria for this study were those who did not participate in DASH diet health education activities and experienced cognitive impairment and conditions of decreased consciousness. The results showed that there were significant differences in dietary compliance, systole, and diastole blood pressure in the intervention group before and after provided DASH diet health education (p < 0,005). It is concluded that DASH diet health education affects dietary compliance and systole and diastole pressure of hypertensive patients. Abstract

One of the health problems that can cause anxiety is hypertension and the psychological aspects that accompany it. Anxiety is a feeling of worry as if something bad is going to happen and a feeling of discomfort as if there is a threat accompanied by physical symptoms such as heart palpitations, cold sweats, and shaking hands. One alternative relaxation for hypertensive patients is five-finger hypnosis, which aims to program oneself, relieve anxiety, and reduce the increase in heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of complementary therapy with the five-finger hypnosis method on the reduction of anxiety in elderly hypertensive patients (Elderly) at the Sliyeg Health Center, Indramayu Regency. Research method: This research is a type of pre-experiment with a one-group Pre-test Post test design. The population of this study is all elderly hypertension patients who use health services at the Sliyeg Health Center, Indramayu Regency, as many as 263 people, and the sample used is accidental sampling, as many as 32 respondents. The data collection instrument in this study is the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questionnaire, which is standard and according to the standard operating procedure of 5-finger hypnosis. The data analysis techniques used are univariate and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon sign rank test because the data of nominal free variables and ordinal-bound variable data are ordinal. Results: Before being given 5-finger hypnosis therapy, the majority of respondents were at a severe anxiety level of 28 respondents (87.5%); after being given 5-finger hypnosis therapy, the majority of respondents were at a mild anxiety level of 20 respondents (62.5%), and the results of the paired sample t-test statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.000. Conclusion: There was a very significant or meaningful change in anxiety level before and after being given five-finger hypnosis (p-value < α 0.05). Suggestion: elderly hypertension patients should be given complementary therapy with the 5-finger hypnosis method to complement conventional treatment.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a leading risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and is prevalent in various age groups. Effective interventions are needed to manage hypertension, particularly in primary healthcare settings. This study explores the effect of guided imagery relaxation on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients at Puskesmas Babadan, Indramayu. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of guided imagery relaxation in lowering systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Methods: A pre-experimental design was used involving 30 hypertensive patients from Puskesmas Babadan. Participants underwent a guided imagery relaxation intervention for 15 minutes daily over one week. Blood pressure was measured before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests to assess changes in blood pressure. Results: The results showed a significant reduction in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure after the intervention. The mean systolic blood pressure decreased from 152.3 mmHg to 140.5 mmHg (p = 0.000), while diastolic blood pressure decreased from 94.6 mmHg to 88.1 mmHg (p = 0.001). Conclusions: Guided imagery relaxation was effective in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This non-pharmacological approach may be a valuable complementary therapy in managing hypertension in primary healthcare settings. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term effects and the integration of this technique into routine healthcare practices.
