Abstract

Cash waqf is a relatively new concept in Indonesia. In other nations, cash waqf has the ability to enhance the economy. In Indonesia, cash waqf has been directly announced by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, however cash waqf collecting within Indonesian society remains low in comparison to other countries. This is related to a societal lack of literacy. The Director General of Islamic Community Guidance addresses this issue by offering literacy training and education to community mobilization components such as Islamic Religious Counselors. The Siliwangi University Service Program strives to educate the community about monetary waqf through Islamic Religious Counselors. This community service is aimed at Islamic Religious Counselors who will get counseling and material on monetary waqf. The lecture technique is employed in community service activities by addressing various cash waqf materials with Islamic Religious Counselors and simulations to increase guidance. The findings of this activity show that the public's understanding of cash waqf is still lacking, and that financial institutions involved in it do not yet understand the role and potential of cash waqf in empowerment; that religious instructors play a significant role in providing guidance and socialization of cash waqf; and that waqf money has great capacity to empower people's economies. Following this monetary waqf instruction, Islamic religious instructors have a thorough grasp of cash waqf.

Abstract

Education needs to adapt to the times to remain relevant to the needs of students. One of the important components that must be considered is the teaching materials, including those in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This research aims to formulate a strategy for revitalizing Islamic Education (PAI) learning in the D phase through optimizing textbooks that are more comprehensive, integrative, and effective in achieving learning outcomes (CP). Using a qualitative approach based on content analysis and literature review, this study identifies inconsistencies between the CP in the Kepka BSKAP and the Learning Objectives (TP) listed in the textbook. For example, the material on rukhsah only reflects the views of one specific school of thought, whereas CP aimsfor a broader understanding of the four major schools of thought. This finding confirms the need for developing more holistic materials to reflect the flexibility of Islamic law. Additionally, the learning models in the textbook are relevant to the psychological characteristics of 12–15-year-old students based on Piaget's theory of development. This research provides contributions in the form of strategic recommendations, including expanding the scope of teaching materials, integrating intersectional perspectives, and strengthening the connection with students' real-life experiences. The limitation of this research lies in the scope of the location and the limited sample size. Therefore, further research with a more comprehensive approach is needed to support the implementation of more effective and transformative fiqh learning

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concepts of pluralism and multiculturalism as well as the challenges and opportunities for their implementation in building social harmony in Indonesia through an educational approach. Using the literature study method and content analysis technique, this research examines various scientific sources related to pluralism, multiculturalism, and educational practices in plural societies. The analysis shows that pluralism and multiculturalism have a strategic position in building an inclusive and democratic society. However, the implementation of these values still faces various challenges such as cultural exclusivism, politicization of identity, and limited curriculum and teacher competence in multicultural education. On the other hand, there is great potential in implementing strategies such as strengthening diversity-based curriculum, integrating local wisdom values, and adaptive and contextual social education innovations. The research also highlights the importance of intercultural and interreligious dialogue, as well as collaboration between the government, educational institutions and communities in shaping a tolerant and just social environment. The conclusion of this research confirms that diversity management requires a comprehensive, systemic approach, rooted in local values, in order to create sustainable social harmony within the framework of the Indonesian nation state.

Abstract

This exploratory study delves into the intricate interplay between animism, dynamism, and the Islamic religious system within the indigenous community of Kampung Kuta in Ciamis District. Despite the predominant influence of Islam in the region, the inhabitants of Kampung Kuta have maintained a unique blend of traditional animistic beliefs and dynamic cultural practices, shaping a distinctive religious landscape. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing ethnographic methods such as participant observation and in-depth interviews to unravel the nuanced expressions of animism and dynamism within the community's religious framework. The results of this study indicate that Nyuguh is an inseparable part of the culture of the Kuta village community and collaborates with the values of Islamic religious ideology. The conclusions of this study can inform future research on the complex relationship between Indigenous spirituality and religious ideology, encouraging a more comprehensive understanding of religious dynamics in diverse cultural settings.
