Abstract

Homework is one strategy to increase students' knowledge outside of intracurricular or extracurricular hours. However, unfortunately, the current phenomenon shows that homework is thought to have negative impacts such as the emergence of academic burnout or academic procrastination. This research aims to describe the quality of students' homework management in Islamic educational institutions. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data was collected via closed questionnaire with a sample of 345 students from a total population of 762 students. The location of this research is at one of the MTs in Bandung City. The results of this research reveal that the quality of students' homework management is on average at a high level. The highest indicator in this case is the indicator of emotional conditioning. These indicators are then followed by indicators for creating a conducive environment, indicators for the ability to manage time well, indicators for the motivation aspect, and indicators for the ability to overcome disturbances. This research also shows that students' ability to avoid distractions needs to be improved.

Abstract

The Strengthening of Character Education is one of the programs that aims to realize the goals of national education. This research focuses on strengthening religious character education through the PAI Tutorial program implemented at the Indonesian Education University. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research indicate the process of strengthening character education through the UPI PAI tutorial program for students who are taking PAI courses. The religious characteristics that are most visibly strengthened include faith, piety, tolerance, trustworthiness, and hard work. The process of strengthening character education is carried out through habituation, exemplification, and the internalization of positive values. The problems encountered in the implementation of this program are the insufficient of quality and quantity of tutors and the lack of awareness among participants

Abstract

Motivasi belajar adalah aspek penting dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI dengan menggunakan metode ceramah di kelas tinggi SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan sampel dari kelas 4B dan 4C. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Aspek perhatian, kepercayaan diri, kepuasan, dan relevansi digunakan untuk membangun instrumen motivasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode ceramah dalam pembelajaran PAI efektif menjaga motivasi siswa. Aspek perhatian, kepercayaan diri, kepuasan, dan hubungan mencapai persentase masing-masing sebesar 78,37persen; 73,69 persen; 79,72 persen; 81,83 persen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode ceramah. Namun, guru berperan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat, kondusif, dan menarik. Dalam hal ini, guru perlu meningkatkan kemampuan bertutur kata yang baik dan meningkatkan kreativitasnya. Selain itu, guru juga sebaiknya lebih sering memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk bertanya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali konsep medie dalam Q.S. An-Naml ayat 29-31 dari berbagai kitab tafsir disertai dengan implikasinya terhadap pengembangan media pembelajaran PAI. Media merupakan salah satu komponen yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam proses pendidikan. Al-Quran sebagai pedoman hidup dalam hal ini telah mengisyaratkan adanya konsep media pembelajaran dalam isinya. Salah satu ayat yang mengisyaratkan konsep media ialah Q.S. An-Naml ayat 29-31. Penelitian ini mengkaji ayat tersebut dari rujukan lima kitab tafsir sebagai referensi utama dan jurnal serta referensi lainnya sebagai referensi sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ayat tersebut mengindikasikan bahwasannya media pembelajaran harus dibuat dengan memperhatikan beberapa hal, yaitu: diawali dengan nama Allah, sebaiknya dilengkapi dengan identitas pemateri yang akan menyampaikan, adanya isi materi pelajaran yang mengajarkan kebaikan, menggunakan konten yang indah, tertata rapi, isinya singkat dan jelas, menggunakan bahasa yang lemah lembut, tidak diiringi cercaan atau cacian, menarik perhatian, dan tidak diiringi dengan muatan materi yang melukai orang yang melihatnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of religious moderation of students through religious tutorials at state universities to ward off radicalism. The research method uses a sequential design of mixed method explanation. Quantitative data was collected by random sampling with a sample of 809 people. Qualitative data was conducted by interviews using purposive sampling to a number of related parties, observation records, dan documentation studies. The average score of religious moderation after participating in tutorial activities was higher than the average score of religious moderation of students before participating in religious tutorial activities. This finding is supported by the results of a significant t-test (sig. 0.000). The dimension of religious moderation that experienced the largest increase was national commitment (4.29%), followed by accommodating to local culture (3.60%), non-violence (3.37%), dan tolerance (3.12%). This increase is influenced by the internalization of values dan examples from lecturers, tutors, dan fellow students. However, most students only showed a low increase in moderation due to having had a prior understanding of religion dan the constraints of the absence of tutors during mentoring. This research emphasizes the importance of the role of religious tutorials in shaping students' religious moderation attitudes.

Abstract

This study examines the characteristics of Generation Z as digital natives along with their implications for character education. This study is important to carry out considering that each generation has its own characteristics that distinguish it from other generations, especially in the education process. The research method used in this study is a literature study with the stages of reviewing, collecting, and analyzing these references. The results of this study indicate that Generation Z has a variety of uniqueness compared to other generations. The most prominent uniqueness of this generation is their ability and habits in using technology. In addition, this generation is also known as a generation that is more creative and innovative, has social responsibility, is active, likes to seek comfort, prioritizes security, is easy to connect with each other, and other characteristics. The uniqueness of Generation Z brings changes to various aspects of life, including the character education process. The character education process is considered still very necessary for this generation. Character education for this generation can be carried out through the family environment, school environment, and community environment. Character education in the family environment emphasizes more on the use of good approaches and the creation of a harmonious family environment. Meanwhile, education in the school environment for Generation Z can be implemented by choosing a variety of strategies, approaches, and learning models that are right for this generation. As for character education through the current community environment, it can be done by creating religious character posts that are uploaded to the internet via social media. This study recommends that subsequent researchers conduct character education experiments in the school, family, or community environment. Contribution: By identifying the characteristics of Generation Z, the research highlights the need for educational approaches that cater to their specific needs. This includes adapting teaching methods to incorporate technology and interactive learning experiences that resonate with their digital upbringing.

Abstract

This research focuses on the character education process through the 7th batch of teaching campus programs conducted at SD Negeri 3 Nasol. The focus of this study is the process of implementing character education through the teaching campus program in elementary schools. Character education is carried out through habituation, integration, and imitation processes.   This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that there is a character education process carried out during the 7th batch of teaching campus assignments.  Of course, the success of character education is inseparable from the role of assistance from the school which always helps in the implementation of the 7th batch of teaching campus work programs. The character education program in the habituation aspect that is carried out is the duha prayer together, reading asmaul husna before learning, and praying before and after learning. Meanwhile, the character education program in the integration aspect is carried out through fun learning activities, mini cinemas, and Ramadan Islamic boarding schools. The character education program activities in the imitation aspect are carried out through 5S habituation. These various activities succeeded in making students know about virtue values. Students are seen to be increasingly obedient to worship, disciplined, responsible, independent, and creative.

Abstract

Bullying cases that occur among students in Indonesia today have become a problem that has become mainstream. Various official data information from the government reinforces this problem. This article aims to explore from the side of subjects who should play a preventive role in suppressing bullying cases among students as a form of their social competence responsibility. Phenomenological design was chosen to explore the experiences of 18 PAI teachers in elementary and junior high schools in providing positive affirmation to students. Two dimensions of positive affirmation were explored, namely self-acceptance and affirmation to prevent bullying through a closed questionnaire and then inductively content analyzed. The results of the study found that the involvement of the integration approach of spiritual values colored the positive affirmations given by PAI Teachers to encourage students to become individuals who are self-accepting, honest, positive, independent, and respectful of differences, strong mentality, self-confidence, and a safe school environment from bullying. This finding has implications and contributes to the importance of optimizing the role of subjects who have the opportunity to work preventively as part of their professionalism to reduce cases of bullying among students.

Abstract

This article aims to explore how Kierkegaard's existentialist philosophy views and its implications for educational practices that occur in improving students' spirituality. A qualitative approach with a literature study design is used for sources with procedures for conducting studies, collecting sources, and analyzing. The results of the study indicate that existentialist philosophy directs human development at a stage that recognizes religion or religiosity. The educational implications that can be applied from this view are divided into implications for students, implications for teachers, and implications for policy managers. For students, education is a way to get to know and become themselves better. In this case, teachers need to provide freedom and encourage students to be themselves. The goals and processes of education in this case should not only be oriented towards memorization but also the process of finding identity by each student.

Abstract

This research explores how the pedagogical orientation of the 21st century and its implications for IRE learning. The method used in this research is the literature study method. The results of this study reveal that the 21st century brings considerable changes in various aspects of life, including education. The main characteristic of this century is the rapid advancement of technology. These technological advances affect the way of learning, teaching, as well as the way of interacting in education. 21st-century learning emphasizes the achievement of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity skills (4Cs), as well as information literacy, technology, and life skills. In terms of pedagogical skills, it has shifted from traditional teacher-centered pedagogy to constructivist, learner-centered pedagogy. This pedagogical shift allows learners to actively build knowledge and skills through experience and technology. Learning strategies or methods that can be used in 21st-century learning include flipped classroom, experiential learning, problem-based learning, reflective learning, project-based learning, and inquiry learning. In the learning process, the teacher has an important role not as the only source of material but as a facilitator who creates an effective learning environment. In the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning, the relevance of 21st-century learning is applied through technology integration, emphasis on the achievement of 21st-century skills, the use of appropriate strategies, and a maximum evaluation process in accordance with the learning model used.
