Abstract

The aim of the research is to prepare environmental awareness of climate changes among female players, as well as identifying environmental awareness of climate changes among female players in some universities in the Middle Euphrates region, as well as finding differences in environmental awareness of climate changes among female players between some group and individual games, and the researcher followed the descriptive approach in its survey and comparison styles due to its suitability with the nature of the research objectives, the research was conducted on female players in some universities in the Middle Euphrates region. As the total number of the research community reached (103) players, and the research sample of (28) players was randomly selected, the researcher prepared a measure of environmental awareness of climate change and it was presented to a group of experts and specialists, and full statistical treatments were conducted for the preparation process, using appropriate statistical methods In the light of the results obtained, the researcher reached several conclusions, the most important of which was the enjoyment of team and individual game players in some universities in the Middle Euphrates region with a good degree of environmental awareness of climate change. In addition, there is no preference in environmental awareness of climate change among team and individual game players in some universities in the Middle Euphrates region. In light of these conclusions, the researcher recommended several recommendations, including the need to pay attention to the environmental aspect of climate changes surrounding female players in general and the training environment in particular, with an emphasis on the need for great interest in clarifying and spreading environmental awareness of climate changes in various activities and different sports.

Abstract

Parental treatment of children is one of the most important factors that play a key role in forming their personality. Equal and tolerant treatment makes the son realize the mercy of his parents towards him, and it has become clear to mental health scientists that the methods of parental treatment leave positive or negative effects on the children’s personality. If the son lives in a calm atmosphere dominated by love, tenderness, understanding and tranquility, he will be able to grow in a healthy way, but if the abuse situations increase and their intensity increases, then his personality will suffer from turmoil and conflict, and its effects will always accompany his personality and this will be reflected in the manifestations of his behavior and his emotional balance. The problem of the research lies in A study of negative parental treatment methods by fathers as perceived by the sons of female students of the Faculty of Physical Education and its relationship to emotional stability, the study aimed to identify the methods used in the treatment of children, as well as to know the relationship between the methods of parental treatment and the emotional stability of university students. As for the research hypotheses, there was a statistically significant correlation between the negative parental treatment style and the emotional stability of the research sample. The research sample consisted of (100) female students from Al-Mustansiriya University who were chosen randomly. The researchers used the descriptive approach in the survey style. The research tools were the emotional stability scale and the parental treatment methods scale. After conducting statistical treatments using the statistical program, the results of the research resulted in the existence of a significant correlation relationship. Statistically between the style of parental treatment and emotional stability among female students/Al-Mustansiriya University.

Abstract

Since tests and measurements are thought of as the fundamental sports tests that reveal the true level that the player reaches, they shed light on the secrets of the ability so that the coach can know the true level of the players to achieve good results. This highlights the significance of the research by identifying standard levels for young volleyball players through specific physical fitness elements and basic skills using evaluation tools. Regarding the research problem, although there are several tests for the components of particular physical fitness and fundamental volleyball skills, the results only provide raw values that are meaningless to the coach. Therefore, in order to assess the components of unique physical fitness and fundamental skills, these raw scores need to be transformed into standard ratings. We can establish benchmarks and levels for junior volleyball players in the Middle Euphrates clubs by assessing their actual physical attributes and fundamental ball skills. The purpose of the study was to determine the degree of fundamental skills and unique physical fitness components among junior volleyball players in the Middle Euphrates clubs. Establishing benchmarks for assessments of particular physical fitness components and fundamental abilities for young volleyball players in the Middle Euphrates clubs. In order to address the nature of the study problem, we employed a descriptive technique that made use of the survey method as well as relationships and correlations. The research sample's highest percentage in the preparation, agility, and strength tests was at the standard level (good), according to the most significant findings. Additionally, the research sample's maximum percentage in the speed tests was at the standard level, or average. Additionally, the research sample's lowest percentage in the spiking test was at the standard level, which is quite poor.

Abstract

Background and Study Aim. The significance of this research lies in designing a specialized scale to evaluate advanced cognitive skills related to handball among students. It also examines the impact of the Ayas model on enhancing these higher-order thinking skills and teaching the technique of the individual fast attack in handball. This study aimed to investigate the effect of the Ayas Model on learning individual fast attack techniques and higher-order thinking skills in handball among students.Material and Methods. The experimental method was adopted, involving a sample of 64 third-year students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon. The sample was divided into two groups: an experimental group (32 students), taught using the Ayas Model, and a control group (32 students), taught using traditional methods. Pre- and post-tests were conducted to assess the students’ performance in individual fast attack techniques and higher-order thinking skills. . Analysis was assisted using the SPSS application.Results. The results revealed significant improvements in both groups, with the experimental group demonstrating substantially higher progress. Statistical analysis confirmed the superiority of the Ayas Model in enhancing both technical and cognitive skills, with calculated t-values indicating significant differences in favor of the experimental group (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that the Ayas Model is an effective pedagogical approach for improving students’ technical proficiency and cognitive abilities in handball.Conclusion. The study concludes that integrating interactive, student-centered learning methods can enhance sports education outcomes and promote holistic skill development. This research provides a theoretical and practical foundation for educators and coaches to integrate interactive and student-centered learning approaches to holistically improve physical education outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the team teaching strategy on improving students’ offensive basketball skills. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group, which was taught using the team teaching strategy, and the control group, which was taught using conventional methods. The research instrument included tests on offensive basketball skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, and lay-up. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests, assisted by SPSS software. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group’s performance compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the team teaching strategy is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in basketball, especially in developing offensive skills. The collaborative approach between teachers allowed for more engaging, student-centered, and dynamic learning experiences. This study contributes to the field of physical education by offering an evidence-based teaching model that can be applied in practical classroom settings. Moreover, the findings provide valuable insights for educators, curriculum developers, and future researchers who aim to design and implement innovative, cooperative learning strategies to improve sports instruction in schools.

Abstract

Physical Education has a strategic role in developing students' physical fitness and building non-technical skills (soft skills) that are very much needed in the 21st century. The purpose of this study is to systematically examine the contribution of Physical Education in developing students' soft skills through literature studies. The research method uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with PRISMA guidance. Data were collected from the Google Scholar and Scopus databases using the keywords "Physical Education", "Soft Skills", and "Students" for publications in 2013–2023. Of the 126 articles found, 15 met the inclusion criteria for further analysis. This literature study indicates that Physical Education plays an important role in building students' soft skills, such as leadership, teamwork, communication, self-control, and problem-solving. Various learning models such as Sport Education, Cooperative Learning, traditional games, and adaptive Physical Education have proven effective in developing these skills. However, developing soft skills through Physical Education still faces obstacles, including limited teacher competence, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and limited learning time. In addition, there is still a research gap related to using technology-based models and longitudinal studies to see the long-term impact. Physical Education can potentially strengthen students' soft skills if it is supported by learning innovation, teacher capacity building, and a curriculum responsive to students' character development needs.
