The piercing phenomenon is widespread among Muslims, both men and women, in various Islamic countries. This research uses a qualitative type with a library research approach. This research methodology involves a comprehensive analysis of the views of various scholars and interpretations of verses from al-Qur’an, hadith, and fiqh books related to the topic of piercing in the context of religious law. From this research, the results showed that several scholars had different perspectives regarding this problem. Imam Ibnu Hajar al-Haitami considers piercing women's ears for jewelry purposes is permissible because it is part of 'urf (habit). However, al-Ghazali emphasized that piercing or self-harm and not permitted. There are prohibitions for men regarding piercing. Imam Ghazali and Ibn Hajar al-Haitami agree that nose piercing on women and men is forbidden because of the potential to cause painful wounds. Apart from that, making decorations in places other than ears is also prohibited because it can resemble the practices of infidels, wicked or immoral people. Abstract

This research aims to investigate the synchronization of the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Akidah Akhlak learning with the phenomenon of moral degradation that emerges in the era of Society 5.0. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study as the research design. Data were collected through classroom observations, participatory interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis related to the curriculum and the phenomenon of moral degradation. The results showed that the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Akidah Akhlak learning has integrated moral values that are relevant to the context of the Society 5.0 era. However, the phenomenon of moral degradation that occurs around students is a challenge that needs to be overcome. The adaptation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Akidah Akhlak learning has integrated moral values that are relevant to the context of the Society 5.0 era. This is shown by the existence of, first, the first preventive stage of compulsory 'Ubbudiyah (Prayer, Reciting the Qur'an, Shalawat, Tahlil and character habituation), Second, the curative stage, disciplining students by the Code of Conduct team with dialogic interaction as a verbal mandate. Third, the rehabilitation stage, moral recovery to teachers, namely by acculturating 5S (Salam, Salim, Sapa, Polite, Santun), educating students to be critical and selective on information on the internet with the task of expressing opinions verbally about negative issues that are trending on the internet. In conclusion, efforts to synchronize the Merdeka Curriculum in Akidah Akhlak learning with the phenomenon of moral degradation in the Society 5.0 era require collaboration between schools, parents, and the community. By involving all parties, it is hoped that learning moral values can be more relevant and effective in facing the moral challenges faced by students in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Student character problems in the modern era are growing due to globalization, while education still tends to emphasize cognitive aspects alone. Although character building should be central, the implementation of holistic education and integration of divine values remains suboptimal in many schools. This study aims to examine the concept and implementation of holistic education and its implications in the formation of the religious character of students at SMP Thursina International Islamic Boarding School, Malang. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling, and data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that the concept of holistic education is stated in the vision and mission of the institution, guided by the Qur'an that humans were created in the best form, so that holistic education is needed. The implementation of holistic education is seen from the integration of six curricula covering religious, academic, and self-development aspects, as well as the instillation of RECODING values (Religious, Caring, Open-minded, Inspiring) inside and outside the classroom. The character-building process is carried out through the habit of worship, teacher role models, the environment, and evaluation through a merit and demerit point system. It has significant implications for students' religious character in daily worship (such as congregational prayer, reading the Qur'an, Sunnah fasting), caring for others, discipline, respecting teachers and friends. This study has implications for becoming a relevant model to be applied in other Islamic educational institutions, especially in the concept of holistic education, integration of divine values in learning and students' daily lives, and evaluation is carried out using a merit and demerit point system to shape students' character.
