Abstract

Social media has a very important role in social relations in the digital era like today. Social media in social relations refers to the use of social media platforms to interact and communicate with other people. Social media allows individuals to interact with people from various backgrounds and expand their social networks. Apart from that, social media can also influence individuals' behavior and communication patterns in their social relationships. The use of social media can have positive impacts such as facilitating interaction and expanding relationships, but it can also have negative impacts such as spreading misinformation and decreasing privacy. The positive and negative impacts of social media must be taken into account. This research aims to analyze the influence of social media on social relationships in the digital era. The research method uses qualitative methods with a literature study type of research. The research results: 1) Increased interaction and use of social media, 2) Changes in communication patterns, 3) Positive and negative impacts of Social Media. Social media has a significant influence on social relationships in the digital era. As a researcher or user of social media, it is important to understand its impact and use it wisely

Abstract

Scavenger societies are social groups that depend on the activities of collecting, sorting, and recycling used goods. They do this work as the main source of income. This research aims to understand the characteristics and role of scavenger communities in waste and environmental management. The research methods used include surveys, interviews, and field observations. The collected data is analyzed qualitatively by identifying the main themes that arise from the research results. The results show that scavenger communities have an important role in reducing waste and recycling used goods. They collect various types of materials such as paper, plastic, metal, and electronics that can be resold or recycled. Their work contributes to reducing the negative impact on the environment and sustainable waste management. However, scavenger communities also face challenges and obstacles in carrying out their work. They often experience unsafe working conditions and health risks due to exposure to hazardous materials. In addition, they also face limited access to public services and social stigma that can affect their daily lives.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' active critical thinking in Civics Learning by implementing the Discovery Learning Learning Model. The subjects in this research were class X DKV students at SMKN 2 Maros with a total of 34 students, consisting of 21 male students and 13 female students. The research method used in this research is Kemmis and Mc Taggart using a classroom action research design consisting of two cycles. In this research, it is a multiple choice test which is carried out at the end of the cycle. The results of this research show that student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average score of 60 and an average percentage score of 60%, while classical completeness was 60% in the sufficient category and continued in the next cycle in the second cycle actions obtained an average of 83 .0, the average percentage score of 83.0% with classical completeness of 90% is in the very good category. The results of the data in cycle II activities have met the KKM which has been determined by student learning outcomes in PPKn learning obtained in cycle I and cycle II, showing that there has been an average increase of 30%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model can increase active critical thinking in PPKn learning for class X DKV students at SMKN 2 Maros for the 2023/2024 academic year.
