Abstract

Curriculum is an important tool in education. To improve the quality of education, curriculum development must be carried out comprehensively. This research aims to describe the curriculum development at Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, with a research approach in the form of a case study. The results of the research show that the curriculum at the Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School is an integrity curriculum, meaning an educational unit-level curriculum that combines the education service curriculum with the Saudi Arabian curriculum with superior tahfizhul Qur'an and Arabic language programs. The model of teaching and learning activities adopted at the Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School consists of two combined systems, namely the Salafiyah education system and the modern education system, namely that teaching and learning activities adhere to the school system in general. Four of the existing components include objectives, curriculum content, strategy, and evaluation. The objective component specifications relate to the four core competencies of graduates that must be mastered or achieved by the students of Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School, namely the core competency of monotheism, the core competency of having noble morals, the core competency of being intelligent, and the core competency of being competitive. The content components of the Al Madinah Boyolali Integrated Islamic Middle School curriculum are organized in three forms of activities, namely curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. The learning strategy component refers to the teaching approaches methods and equipment used in teaching. The curriculum evaluation component is intended to assess a curriculum as an educational program and determine the efficiency, effectiveness, relevance, and productivity of the program in achieving educational goals.

Abstract

There are still many elementary school-age children who have learning difficulties in understanding the arithmetic operations of addition and subtraction which are presented in the form of story problems and the arithmetic operations of multiplication and division. The aim of this research is to determine the types of mathematics learning difficulties experienced by students, the factors that influence learning difficulties, and to reveal efforts that can be made to overcome mathematics learning difficulties in grade IV elementary school. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 23 class IV students and class IV teachers. The data collection procedures used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results showed that 10 of the 23 students in class IV had difficulty learning mathematics. The types of learning difficulties for class IV students in mathematics learning at MI Gagaksipat 2 include difficulties understanding concepts, calculating skills, and solving problems. Factors that cause difficulties in learning mathematics come from internal and external factors. Internal factors originating from students include IQ or intelligence, students' attitudes toward learning mathematics, students' low learning motivation, suboptimal physical health, and students' poor sensory abilities. Meanwhile, external factors originating from outside students include the lack of variation in teacher teaching, the use of learning media that is not optimal, the infrastructure at school, and the family environment. Efforts to deal with mathematics learning difficulties can be made by students, teachers, or schools.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the process of religious conversion and the factors that influence it. Religious conversion is a complex phenomenon involving fundamental changes in an individual's beliefs and identity. Through a qualitative approach, a literature review explores the causes, processes and factors that influence religious conversion. Data analysis was carried out using thematic methods. Research findings show that the religious conversion process involves stages such as search, consideration, religious experience, and decision making. Factors influencing religious conversion include social environmental influences, personal experiences, spiritual crises, search for meaning in life, and external factors such as mixed marriages or exposure to new cultures. The implications of this research can help our understanding of the dynamics of religious conversion and provide insight into intervention and guidance efforts in the context of religious diversity in society.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, developing teachers' digital competence has become a significant challenge, particularly in the context of Islamic education, which must remain relevant to current advancements. This study aims to identify the problems and challenges in developing digital competence among teachers in Islamic educational settings in the globalization era. The research methodology used is library research, where primary and secondary data were collected from various books, journals, and literature related to digital competence and its relevance to Islamic education. The results show that while technology plays an essential role in enhancing the effectiveness of learning, many teachers in Islamic education still face challenges such as lack of training, limited access to technology, and resistance to change. This study recommends strengthening online-based training, improving technology infrastructure, and fostering collaboration with technology institutions to bridge the digital divide. This approach will help enhance teachers' professionalism and maintain the relevance of Islamic education in the digital era.

Abstract

The curriculum is the core of the educational system, guiding the objectives, targets, and learning processes in schools. Effective curriculum administration is essential to ensure successful educational outcomes by managing the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes. This study aims to explore the strategies and challenges involved in curriculum administration in schools. Utilizing a literature review method, this research analyzes primary and secondary sources from relevant literature on curriculum management in education. The findings indicate that a well-structured curriculum administration can enhance teaching quality and student performance. However, challenges such as resource limitations, policy misalignment, and lack of flexibility in curriculum design continue to impede the process. This study recommends improving collaboration between educators and administrators, integrating technological advancements, and ensuring curriculum relevance to student needs and global demands. By addressing these challenges, curriculum administration can play a critical role in achieving quality education and preparing students to face modern global challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational evaluation at MI Gagaksipat 2 by focusing on the methods, techniques, and challenges encountered. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that formative evaluation is conducted periodically through quizzes, discussions, and assignments to provide immediate feedback, while summative evaluation is carried out at the end of the semester to measure students' overall achievements. Academically, the evaluation effectively improves student performance, as evidenced by annual increases in academic scores. From a character development perspective, the evaluation shapes students with strong religious values, discipline, and good social skills. Challenges include teachers' limited understanding of complex evaluation techniques and inadequate technological resources. The study recommends providing evaluation training for teachers and adequate facilities to enhance the quality of Islamic values-based learning.
