Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology impacts various fields, including healthcare services. The Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI), as a professional organization for midwives in Indonesia, plays a role in enhancing the professionalism of its members to ensure quality healthcare services. This study aims to develop an Android-based application to disseminate information about IBI activities in the Sumbawa region, facilitating public access to midwifery services. The application development process includes system analysis, design, implementation, and testing using the blackbox testing method. The application features five main functions: activity news, event agendas, information about midwives, organizational profiles, and links to IBI-related websites. Test results indicate that each feature operates as intended. This application is expected to serve as an effective information medium, improving public access to healthcare services, particularly in the midwifery field, and supporting IBI activities in providing more transparent and integrated services.

Abstract

Masa remaja adalah periode krusial yang penuh dengan perubahan signifikan, baik secara biologis, kognitif, maupun emosional. Beberapa masalah kesehatan reproduksi yang umum dihadapi remaja antara lain kehamilan di luar nikah yang secara langsung berkontribusi pada peningkatan kasus kehamilan di usia remaja serta anemia zat besi remaja putri. Kehamilan pada usia remaja dan keadaan anemia akan berdampak buruk pada status gizi janin dan bayi, sehingga lebih berisiko mempunyai anak stunting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perilaku konsumsi makanan bergizi dan tablet tambah darah sebagai pencegahan stunting pada siswi SMAN 1 Moyo Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional. Sampelnya adalah 38 siswi SMAN 1 Moyo Utara yang dipilih secara accidental sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar responden selalu minum air putih 8 gelas sehari (36,8%), kemudian sering makan teratur 3 kali sehari (34,2%), makan dengan gizi seimbang (52,6%), makan buah (55,3%) dan makan sayur (55,3%) serta tidak pernah membatasi makanan/diet (47,4%), namun kadang-kadang makan protein (47,4%), sarapan pagi (39,5%), minum tablet tambah darah setiap menstruasi (73,7%). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan responden sudah cukup konsisten dalam hal perilaku konsumsi makanan bergizi, namun belum konsisten dalam mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah.

Abstract

Stunting is a critical public health issue that impairs physical and cognitive development in children, particularly in underserved areas. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between parental nutritional knowledge, parenting practices, and feeding patterns with the stunting status of children under five in Ropang Subdistrict, Sumbawa. A cross-sectional design was used, and total sampling was applied to 24 respondents including 12 respondents of mother and 12 respondents of toddlers. This study used a small sample size because it focused on children who were already classified as stunted. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test, Likelihood Ratio, and Fisher’s Exact Test. The results showed no significant relationship between parents’ nutritional knowledge and the stunting status of children (p = 0.310). However, there was a significant relationship between parenting practices and stunting (p = 0.023), as well as a very strong association between child feeding patterns and stunting status (p < 0.001). Children with poor feeding patterns were more likely to experience severe stunting. These findings emphasize the importance of practical parenting strategies and proper feeding behavior in addressing stunting. Effective interventions should therefore focus on improving daily caregiving and feeding practices, rather than relying solely on increasing parental knowledge, to enhance child health outcomes in rural communities.

Abstract

Mental health problems are currently considered a serious problem that requires comprehensive treatment. In this context, the development of ESS-BAR applications has become an interesting and important research topic. The aim of this research is to evaluate the use of the ESS-BAR application as an appropriate SAJIWA (Mental Health Awareness) Program screening application both in terms of measurement content and accuracy values The method used is evaluation of Android-based application development, which is then measured for accuracy and program evaluation using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method. This research involved 10 key informants to obtain an evaluation of the application being developed. The research findings show that the evaluation of the Black Box testing of the application being developed went according to the evaluation checklist sheet. Then, testing the accuracy of mental health screening results involving 10 key informants showed that 75% of respondents strongly agreed that the application could be used as a screening measure for someone's mental health. However, in developing ESS-BAR, further evaluation still needs to be carried out regarding personalization and adjustment of user data Conclusions So further development is still needed. The benefits of this program are expected to increase the use of technology in providing mental health services so that follow-up can be done to receive counseling services and subsequent intervention plans according to the problems faced.

Abstract

Anak Prasekolah adalah anak yang berusia antara usia 3-6 tahun dan biasanya sudah mulai mengikuti program preschool. Anak yang status gizinya kurang atau rendah dapat meningkatkan risiko gangguan kesehatan serta infeksi, dan juga adanya gangguan pertumbuhan serta perkembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pendidikan dan pekerjaan ibu dengan status gizi anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional. Sampelnya adalah 70 anak TK Sari Asih Sumbawa. Sampel dipilih secara total sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman’s rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara pendidikan dengan status gizi anak (α value = 0,113) serta tidak ada hubungan antara pekerjaan dengan status gizi anak (α value = 0,891).

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women remains a serious public health problem in Indonesia and contributes to the increased risk of pregnancy complications and maternal and infant mortality. Poor knowledge of anemia among pregnant women is a major contributing factor to this condition. Health education using simple media such as leaflets and posters is considered to have the potential to improve understanding and prevent anemia. Purpose: To increase knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of pregnant women about anemia using leaflets and posters as a means of preventing pregnancy complications. Method: A community service activity was conducted in December 2025 in the Labuhan Badas Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area, targeting 26 pregnant women. The intervention consisted of providing health education through direct counseling using leaflets and posters, accompanied by discussion and question-and-answer sessions. Evaluation was conducted using a questionnaire to compare knowledge levels before (pre-test) and after education (post-test), as well as assessing pregnant women's attitudes and behaviors in response to anemia prevention measures. Results: A significant increase in the level of knowledge of pregnant women after education, with the level of knowledge in the good category increasing from 19.2% to 69.2%. The majority of pregnant women, 20 (76.9%), demonstrated good attitudes and behaviors regarding anemia prevention after the education activity. Conclusion: Anemia education activities for pregnant women using leaflets and posters have proven effective in increasing knowledge and fostering positive attitudes and behaviors related to anemia prevention. Increased understanding of the causes, effects, and prevention of anemia among pregnant women contributed to increased awareness of taking iron supplements, adopting a balanced nutritional diet, and utilizing antenatal care services regularly. Suggestion: Similar education needs to be conducted continuously and integrated into antenatal care services. Keywords: Anemia; Health education; Leaflets and posters; Pregnant women Pendahuluan: Anemia pada ibu hamil masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang serius di Indonesia dan berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya risiko komplikasi kehamilan serta kematian ibu dan bayi. Rendahnya pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai anemia menjadi salah satu faktor utama terjadinya kondisi tersebut. Edukasi kesehatan menggunakan media sederhana seperti leaflet dan poster dinilai berpotensi meningkatkan pemahaman dan perilaku pencegahan anemia. Tujuan: Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang anemia, sikap, dan perilaku ibu hamil dengan menggunakan media leaflet dan poster sebagai upaya pencegahan komplikasi kehamilan. Metode: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2025 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Labuhan Badas dengan sasaran 26 ibu hamil. Intervensi yang dilakukan adalah berupa memberikan pendidikan kesehatan melalui penyuluhan langsung menggunakan media leaflet dan poster, disertai sesi diskusi dan tanya-jawab. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner untuk membandingkan tingkat pengetahuan sebelum (pre-test) dan sesudah edukasi (post-test), serta penilaian sikap dan perilaku ibu hamil dalam merespon tindakan pencegahan anemia. Hasil: Menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada tingkat pengetahuan ibu hamil setelah edukasi, dengan kategori pengetahuan baik meningkat dari 19.2% menjadi 69.2%. Sebagian besar ibu hamil yaitu sebanyak 20 orang (76.9%) menunjukkan sikap dan perilaku dalam kategori baik dalam pencegahan anemia setelah kegiatan edukasi. Simpulan: Kegiatan edukasi anemia pada ibu hamil menggunakan media leaflet dan poster terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan serta membentuk sikap dan perilaku positif terkait pencegahan anemia. Peningkatan pemahaman ibu hamil mengenai penyebab, dampak, dan cara pencegahan anemia berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya kesadaran untuk mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah, menerapkan pola makan bergizi seimbang, serta memanfaatkan pelayanan antenatal secara rutin. Saran: Edukasi serupa perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan terintegrasi dalam pelayanan antenatal care.

Abstract

Kesehatan ibu hamil dan proses persalinan merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk memastikan keselamatan ibu dan bayi selama kehamilan dan kelahiran. Pendidikan kesehatan, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan persiapan persalinan, sangat penting dalam upaya menurunkan angka kematian ibu dan bayi. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas edukasi persiapan persalinan melalui metode simulasi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kelas Ibu Hamil pada Posyandu di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Kecamatan Labuhan Sumbawa pada bulan Desember 2025 dan dihadiri oleh 9 orang ibu hamil. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan cara melakukan memberikan ceramah dan simulasi mengenai persiapan persalinan yang meliputi tanda-tanda persalinan, tas persalinan, serta posisi dan teknik pernapasan saat persalinan. Dengan memberikan edukasi yang tepat melalui kelas ibu hamil, terutama mengajarkan teknik bernapas dan meneran yang benar, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk menjalani persalinan dengan lebih baik dan aman.
