Abstract

This research aims to analyze whether there is an influence of non-linear teachers (who teach outside their field) on student learning competence at MA Safinda Surabaya. This research uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. The research instrument was created referring to aspects of learning theory according to Edgar Dale, who stated that there are 10 important aspects, namely;Read, Hear, View Images, Watch Videos, Attend Exhibitis/Sites, Watch a Demonstration, Participate in Hands-On-Workshops, Design Collaborative Lesson, Simulate and Design/Perform a Presentation. Data from the questionnaire results were analyzed using a simple regression test to assess the relationship between the independent variable (non-linear teacher) and the dependent variable (student learning competency). The results of the analysis show that the significance value (sig) is 0.007, so 0.007 > 0.05, which means Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no significant influence of teacher non-linearity on student learning competence at MA Safinda Surabaya. This shows that even though teachers do not have a background appropriate to their field, they still have the opportunity to take part in training or other self-development activities which will later haveimpact positive impact on student learning competence. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ada tidaknya pengaruh guru non-linier (yang mengajar di luar bidangnya) terhadap kompetensi belajar siswa di MA Safinda Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan angket sebagai instrumen utama dalam pengumpulan data. Instrumen penelitian di buat merujuk pada aspek teori belajar menurut Edgar Dale, yang mengemukakan bahwa terdapat 10 aspek penting yaitu; Read, Hear, View Images, Watch Videos, Attend Exhibitis/Sites, Watch a Demonstration, Participate in Hands-On-Workshops, Design Collaborative Lesson, Simulate and Design/Perform a Presentation. Data dari hasil angket di analisis menggunakan uji regresi sederhana untuk menilai hubungan antara variabel bebas (guru non-linier) dan variabel terikat (kompetensi belajar siswa). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (sig) sebesar 0,007, maka 0,007 > 0,05, yang artinya Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari non-linieritas guru terhadap kompetensi belajar siswa di MA Safinda Surabaya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun guru tidak memiliki latar belakang yang sesuai dengan bidangnya, mereka tetap memiliki kesempatan untuk mengikuti pelatihan atau kegiatan pengembangan diri lainnya yang nantinya dapat memiliki impact positif pada kompetensi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study analyzes the feasibility of graphics in Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti textbooks for class VIII of the 2021 edition from various aspects such as visual design, layout use of images, graphics, and other graphic elements. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study type. The primary data source is the 2021 edition of the Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti textbook for junior high school class VIII. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and visual analysis of the book. The results of this study show that the textbook needs to be improved in the graphic aspect. Excessive or irrelevant graphics can make students focus on visuals rather than content. Excessive visual decoration interferes with learning, and complicated or inappropriate graphics can confuse students or reduce interest. Low-quality graphics also reduce the effectiveness of the book. Therefore, it is essential for authors and publishers to carefully select and arrange graphic elements to support learning and ensure graphic quality based on BNSP. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan kegrafikan pada buku ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti untuk kelas VIII edisi 2021 yang dianalisis dari berbagai aspek seperti desain visual, layout, penggunaan gambar, grafik, dan elemen-elemen grafis lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis studi kasus. Sumber data utamanya adalah buku ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti untuk SMP kelas VIII edisi 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan analisis visual terhadap buku tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa buku ajar tersebut memiliki kekurangan dalam aspek grafis. Grafis yang berlebihan atau tidak relevan bisa membuat siswa fokus pada visual daripada konten. Dekorasi visual yang berlebihan mengganggu pembelajaran, dan grafis yang rumit atau tidak sesuai dapat membingungkan siswa atau mengurangi minat. Kualitas grafis yang rendah juga menurunkan efektivitas buku. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi penulis dan penerbit untuk memilih dan menyusun elemen grafis dengan cermat agar mendukung pembelajaran dan memastikan kualitas grafis berdasarkan BSNP.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the forms of reward and punishment that are effectively used and the implications of both reward and punishment. The research method employed is qualitative, with the type of research being field research, and data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research sample consists of third-grade students at SDN Margorejo VI. SDN Margorejo VI has implemented a learning system that prioritizes the use of rewards to enhance motivation, achievement, and student discipline, while avoiding the implementation of punishment. The form of reward given emphasizes recognition and appreciation of the students' learning process, whereas the existing form of punishment aims to provide positive encouragement in solving problems, rather than just punishment. This policy has successfully created a structured learning environment, developed social and emotional skills, and improved students' discipline character through real-life experiences about the importance of the relationship between actions and their consequences.
