Abstract

Awesalo Waterfall is one of the tourist destinations  for the community, especially for the Konawe community, which is located in the KPHL Laiwoi area. The manager makes Awesalo Waterfall one of the objects that will be developed as a mainstay tourist destination. Nature tourism is a form of business development that is able to provide economic benefits for the community and area managers. The development of the Awesalo waterfall as a natural tourism object needs to pay attention to feasibility that does not conflict with conservation principles. This research is intended to examine whether or not Awesalo Waterfall can be developed as a natural tourism object. Data were collected through interviews, field observations, and related literature studies. The modified Guideline for Analysis of Operational Areas for Natural Tourism Objects and Attractions (ADOODTW) is used as a reference for analyzing the feasibility of Awesalo Waterfall. Based on the results of the study, the total feasibility value of Awesalo Waterfall can be developed as a natural tourism object reached 81.87%. These scores include attractiveness (87.5%), accessibility (75%), accommodation (75%) and amenities (90%). This value is included in the high category and can be developed to support sustainable management. Keywords: Awesalo waterfall , conservation, feasibility, KPHL Laiwoi, nature tourism

Abstract

The Wanggu Watershed is one of the water resources providers in the Southeast Sulawesi region and is part of the Wanggu Watershed community life. This research aims to identify. This study aims to determine the Willingness To Pay value (WTP) of the Wanggu Sub Watershed as the cost of maintaining water sources. The location of this study is within the central Wanggu watershed area. The sampling method is carried out by Purposive Sampling and Convenience Sampling methods at the same time. The respondents were 54 people, including farmers, fishermen, traders, and entrepreneurs using water sources around the Wanggu watershed. Respondents' backgrounds include characteristics of gender, age, education level, and type of work. This study result showed that the willingness to pay (WTP) value obtained from using the water resources of Wanggu Sub Watershed from the Lepo-Lepo Village community is Rp. / year from the Watubangga Village community.

Abstract

This study explicitly captured how the existence of local wisdom interacts with the challenges of implementing community plantation forest programs, which often overlook traditional practices but can lead to changes in deforested land. Data on land cover change, a leading indicator, were obtained from the analysis of Landsat 7 and Landsat 8 satellite imagery, drone observations, and field surveys. Information about the practice of local wisdom in using CPF permit areas in the KPHP Unit VI Muna Island area was collected through in-depth interviews with the community. The forest cover classification was performed using ArcGIS 10.8 software, which combined on-screen digitization with field verification to ensure the accuracy of the satellite imagery data. The analysis results showed significant changes in forest cover during the four observation periods (2010-2022). Notably, there was a significant increase in land use for mixed gardens, accounting for up to 70.29% of the total area. This aligns with kaindea's practice of combining woody plants (forestry and plantations). Meanwhile, dryland and mixed dryland farming decreased to 4.17% and 25.55%, respectively. This practice can create a forest-like landscape that maintains the balance of the karst ecosystem and supports the family economy. These findings not only fill knowledge gaps regarding the integration of karst region-specific local wisdom in social forestry programs but also offer an adaptive model of forest management that can be replicated in similarly vulnerable ecosystems. Integrating local wisdom in vulnerable areas such as karst has proven to be a catalyst in sustainable forest management.

Abstract

E-marketplaces play a pivotal role in Indonesia’s digital economic transformation; however, infrastructural limitations, high logistical costs, and low levels of technological literacy hinder their adoption in West Papua Province. Jasa Titip (JASTIP) represents an informal digital facilitation mechanism that enables communities to collectively and affordably access e-marketplace products. Importance–Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) is used to identify strategic intervention priorities for e-marketplace adoption in West Papua using an expanded Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework. The moderating influence of gender in community-based social support is examined. PLS-SEM was used to analyze data from 177 respondents. Results show that enabling environments, hedonic incentives, and social influence greatly affect behavioural intention and utilization. Gender also moderates social impact and behavioural intention, highlighting its function in adoption. The model explains 62.1% of behavioural intention and 66.2% of use behaviour. Policymakers and e-marketplace stakeholders should learn from these results about the necessity of inclusive initiatives that account for gender-specific adoption habits. Moreover, they highlight the critical role of JASTIP practices in overcoming structural barriers to digital access in underserved regions
