Abstract

Islamic education as part of society's value system cannot be separated from cultural elements. Therefore, the relationship between Islamic education and culture can be an appropriate collaboration in overcoming shifts in values among society. The aim of this research is to represent the values of Islamic education in the Wayang Kekayon Khalifah play Pandanarang Malik Grembyang, which also looks at the implementation of its value content on the social system. This research uses the hermeneutic phenomenology method to study the play text textually and contextually. The results of the research show that the play contains the essence of the dangers of life that deifies the world or the despicable behavior of one's culture. So, the Pandanarang play in the Wayang Kekayon Khalifah art becomes relevant when it is presented to a community that is starting to experience a shift in values. The implications of this research reflect a cultural approach as optimizing Islamic education in society.

Abstract

The existence of private madrasas in the era of capitalization of education with the input of students from marginal and abangan communities with lower economic conditions is indeed a challenge for madrasa managers. This research was conducted at MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen (MTs MK) and aimed at uncovering the factors that become the strengths of madrasas so that madrasas continue to exist and continue to develop even with marginal and abangan backgrounds. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach—data collection using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The study results show that the strength factors of MTs MK in the era of educational capitalization are spiritual capital, cultural capital, and social capital, which have implications for economic capital.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Wayang Kekayon Khalifah into Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning to enhance students' spiritual quotient. The primary issue addressed is the lack of connection between religious values and local wisdom in formal education. This research aims to analyze the benefits of using wayang as a medium for internalizing religious and moral values based on Javanese culture. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at SMAN 5 Puspanegara Yogyakarta. The findings indicate that this integration combines Islamic preaching narratives with local cultural symbols, enabling students to understand religious teachings contextually and reflectively. Its implications enrich learning experiences, strengthen religious character, and shape spiritual awareness aligned with students’ cultural identity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of studies on the implementation of the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education. Integrating the independent curriculum with Islamic Religious Education requires compatibility between the two, such as mandatory aspects of the project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile and dimensional aspects and scope of Islamic Religious Education. This research methodology is a qualitative literature type, using a grounded theory approach which is useful as a medium for integrating the two research subjects. The results of this research include the internalization of the independent curriculum in Indonesia regarding the dimensions and scope of Islamic Religious Education, consisting of its adaptive nature, as well as being oriented towards essential material, guided by the values of Islamic teachings, with an emphasis on moral education, as in strengthening Pancasila student profile. Process is supported by the role and participation of stakeholders as well as the use of information technology; (4) Assessments are carried out both routinely and at the end of the program to minimize errors accumulating at the end of the program. Efforts to improve the program are carried out by considering impacts and prioritizing results.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of a study of the Javanese culture-based Islamic education model in the community. One of the severity of the existing problems is the fading of molimo teachings in Javanese society, such as the prohibition of drunkenness, adultery, consuming illegal drugs, stealing, and gambling. The purpose of this study is to analyze how Islamic education is based on Javanese culture, as well as to analyze the internalization and adaptation of the cultural value of the art of Wayang Kekayon Khalifah in the performance of Wayang Kekayon Khalifah. This research method uses a qualitative type of case study, in order to systematically organize the flow of this research, so as to answer the formulation of the problem. The results of this study include the formulation of a Javanese culture-based Islamic education model in the performance of Wayang Kekayon Khalifah including adaptive to local wisdom, dialogue on Javanese culture and Islamic religion, transforming towards Islamic living rules, and communicative in answering local community issues. So that the formulation of the model can be an alternative in overcoming the shift in the character of Javanese society.

Abstract

The approach of Koran translation using Javanese literature needs to be represented in order to increase the potential for better acceptance of Koran translation by the Javanese community. The purpose of this study is to represent some Qur'anic verses to be translated using several types of tembang macapat, including tembang pangkur, tembang maskumambang, tembang dhandhanggula, and tembang megatruh. The method in this study uses a descriptive qualitative type of Koran verses that have been translated into Javanese based on the rules of tembang macapat, to then be analyzed using a content analysis approach to the rules in tembang macapat, as well as the suitability of the rules of guru gatra, guru lagu, and guru wilangan. The results of this research become one of the alternatives to the representation of how the Koran is translated into tembang macapat, as when translated it needs to contain a translation that does not violate the core meaning of the verse, and Javanese grammar that conforms to the level of use of krama and ngoko language, but still follows the rules of guru gatra, guru lagu, and guru wilangan in each type of tembang macapat.

Abstract

Teachers' low utilization of technology in learning Arabic has become a common phenomenon in the education area in Indonesia. The findings of researchers at different schools show the same happening, which is supported by similar studies in various regions of Indonesia. The minimal utilization of technology is undoubtedly out of step with this era and with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, which is socialized through the Independent Curriculum. However, the findings of these studies do not provide a remedy, namely how to persuade Arabic language teachers to adapt to technology. Therefore, this research aims to provide an example of making a learning video by utilizing an application that is easy to use and can be obtained for free through the website. This research uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, which makes multimedia from the concept stage to distribution. The result of this research is an Arabic learning video about gender. This gender material was chosen randomly among a variety of other Arabic language materials. This is intended as an example and it is hoped that Arabic language teachers at any level of education can follow the example of making this learning video by changing the material according to the curriculum at the level they teach.

Abstract

Critical study of Islamic Education Neuroscience is still not sufficiently carried out in accounting for its knowledge, in order to confirm and fill in gaps in its scientific development. The purpose of this study is to examine the various scientific varieties of Islamic Education Neuroscience using the epistemology of Islamic Education, in order to find, fill, and develop their scientific potential, also from the perspective of developing hybridization of other Islamic Education scholarships. The method used in this study uses a qualitative type of literature according to Creswell: 2015, meaning that it is processed from various kinds of analytical theory from various sources of literature. The results of the study show that Islamic Education Neuroscience in epistemology also refers to Islamic law. Epistemologically, Irfani refers to the background of the scientific dichotomy between neuroscience, education, and Islam. Epistemologically, Burhani refers to empirical facts about the importance of collaboration between Islamic educators and neurologists in designing curricula and learning that optimizes students' brains in achieving Islamic education goals. Referring to the hybridization of other disciplines such as anthropology and psychology of Islamic education, this scientific development can further deepen the derivatives and clusters knowledge and more adapted to the needs of students.
