Abstract

Writing an abstract thesis in 3 languages, Bahasa Indonesia, Arabic, and English, at the KH Institute. Abdul Chalim (IKHAC) Mojokerto is an effort to support the soft skills of its graduates. The purpose of this article was to evaluate the students’ writing skills (al-mahārah al-kitābah) through their Arabic abstract thesis. This article used a qualitative research approach with a literature study method. The study object is the theses of IKHAC students in 2020 that have been archived. Data analysis was conducted following Tarigan’s perspective on error analysis, while the indicators for analyzing errors in Arabic writing were based on the Imla’ rules from Ibrahim Khalil’s perspective. The results of the study indicate that the students of the Tarbiyah Faculty at IKHAC have advanced skills in Arabic writing skill. Further studies are expected to be conducted to assist in evaluating intensive Arabic language courses.

Abstract

This research was conducted to increase teachers' insight in applying the nahwu game model so that they can teach Arabic easily. This research aims to explore the implementation of Nahwu Matching game as a fun and engaging approach to teach the basic structure of isim isyarah (demonstrative pronouns) in a classroom setting. The study specifically focuses on its application in a small class of third-grade students at MI Nurul Amal. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with field research method, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The main findings reveal that the implementation of Nahwu Matching game in the small class setting is effective and well-received by the third-grade students. The game provides an engaging learning experience, and the students' positive responses demonstrate its success. The study highlights the advantages of using this game in a small classroom, as it facilitates an interactive and enjoyable learning environment. No significant limitations were found in terms of its instructional aspects. The implications of this research suggest that teachers of Arabic language can consider incorporating game-based approaches into their instruction to enhance active and innovative learning experiences. Overall, this study provides valuable insights for educators in utilizing game-based models for teaching Arabic language in an engaging and effective manner.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the suitability of the Arabic language textbook for the eleventh grade, issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in its first edition in 2020, to determine whether the prescribed book aligns with the criteria of a textbook according to the theory of Ali Muhammad Al-Qasimy in developing teaching components for Arabic language instruction for non-native speakers. This textbook is selected because its implementation is still relatively new, and there are ongoing issues, such as using highly advanced reading texts. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and the desk research method. A content analysis technique was employed to analyze the data. Primary data were collected by documenting content from the "Arabic Language Textbook for the Eleventh Grade" and teacher interviews. Secondary data were collected through documentation from relevant literary sources. The results showed that this book falls into the category of suitable teaching materials for Madrasah Aliyah students in Indonesia based on Al-Qasimy theory in developing teaching material components. First, the basic materials of the textbook consist of: a) reading texts (reading) in the form of dialogue, b) Arabic language leaders, c) exercises, and d) dictionaries. Second, the textbook auxiliary materials comprise: a) dictionaries, b) the books of the tamarin, c) the book of the horoscope, d) the evaluation/test book, e) the teacher's guidebook, and f) visual teaching aids.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the essence of social values contained in the Nganta Petuloh tradition in the community of Koto Petai, Kerinci Regency. This tradition, which is a form of mutual cooperation and mutual assistance in the context of celebrations or celebrations, has strong roots in local culture and serves to strengthen social relations between citizens. Through interviews with local communities, the study identified values such as empathy, solidarity, and help that are internalized in daily life. The results of the study show that Nganta Petuloh plays an important role in strengthening social ties, even though it is currently facing challenges due to social changes and declining interest of the younger generation. The influence of Qur'anic teachings is also evident in this practice, reflecting how religious values are manifested in community life. To ensure the sustainability of this tradition, this study recommends preservation efforts through education and innovation that can attract the interest of new generations. Thus, Nganta Petuloh is not only a tradition, but also a vital means in building a community that is in solidarity and supporting each other.
