Abstract

Learning outcomes are one of the important factors that used to measure persons success in learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of contextual problem-based history learning models and personality types on student history learning outcomes between groups of students using contextual problem-based learning models and groups of students using conventional learning models involving personality types in XI IPS class at senior high school. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental quantitative with a 2x2 treatment design model. The population in this study was all students of XI IPS class consisting of four class, totaling 124 students. The research sample was determined by purposive random sampling technique. The data were collected using the test method to measure student learning outcomes and the questionnaire was used to measure the student's personality type. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students who use contextual problem-based learning models are higher than students who use conventional learning models. There is an interaction effect between contextual problem-based learning models and personality types on history learning outcomes. The learning outcomes of students with extrovert personality types who use contextual problem-based learning models are higher than students who use conventional learning models. The learning outcomes of students with introverted personality types who use contextual problem-based learning models are lower than students who use conventional learning models.

Abstract

Abstract This Community Service is motivated by social and cultural changes in the era of reform and globalization which have resulted in a moral crisis and the fading of nationalism among the youth of Jayapura City. This community service aims to equip young people at the Jami’atul Muslimin Mosque in Jayapura City to Strengthen Character Education which focuses on the values of nationalism which includes the spirit of nationalism and love for the motherland. Community service methods include: lectures, questions and answers, discussions, and video screenings about the character of nationalism. The results of community service show that the youth of the Jami’atul Muslimin Mosque in Jayapura City have an interest in the dynamics or issues of nationalism in Papua, especially in Jayapura City; have a sense of pride and love for the nation and homeland, emulate the services of heroes, care for national unity and integrity, protect and care for the surrounding environment, and prosper the mosque by participating in various mosque activities. Abstrak Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilatar belakangi oleh perubahan sosial dan budaya di era reformasi dan globalisasi yang mengakibatkan terjadinya krisis moral dan makin lunturnya nasionalisme dikalangan remaja Kota Jayapura. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan membekali remaja Masjid Jami’atul Muslimin Kota Jayapura Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter yang fokus pada nilai nasionalisme yang meliputi semangat kebangsaan dan cinta tanah air. Metode pengabdian masyarakat berupa: ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, dan pemutaran video tentang karakter nasionalisme. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa Remaja Masjid Jami’atul Muslimin Kota Jayapura memiliki ketertarikan terhadap dinamika atau isu-isu nasionalisme di Papua khususnya di Kota Jayapura; memiliki rasa bangga dan cinta terhadap bangsa dan tanah air, meneladani jasa para pahlawan, merawat persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa, menjaga dan merawat lingkungan sekitar, dan memakmurkan masjid dengan berpartisipasi dalam beragam kegiatan masjid.

Abstract

Abstract This training is motivated by the demands of 21st Century Learning, namely learning that is innovative, creative and fun for students by carrying the spirit of independent learning. Understanding and awareness of Indonesianness must be known by all Indonesians, especially history teachers and students. This awareness is important because Indonesia is a pluralistic country consisting of various ethnic groups, regional languages, religions, and belief groups. This training aims to equip history teachers in the use and internalization of HOTS content history text books on multicultural material. The training methods are in the form of: lectures, questions and answers, discussions, making teaching modules, and teaching practice. The results of the training show that history teachers in implementing the independent curriculum are able to develop innovations in learning history that integrate high-order thinking skills in multicultural material at the senior high school level. Multicultural material in history textbooks can be implemented on the concepts of: culture, multicultural values, social and cultural conflict, race, ethnicity, religion and beliefs, and national identity. Abstrak Pelatihan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya tuntutan Pembelajaran Abad Ke-21 yaitu pembelajaran yang inovatif, kreatif dan menyenangkan bagi peserta didik dengan mengusung semangat merdeka belajar. Pemahaman dan kesadaran mengenai Keindonesiaan wajib diketahui oleh segenap bangsa Indonesia, terutama guru mata pelajaran sejarah dan peserta didik. Kesadaran ini penting karena Indonesia adalah negara majemuk yang terdiri dari beragam suku bangsa, bahasa daerah, agama, dan kelompok penghayat kepercayaan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membekali guru sejarah dalam penggunaan dan internalisasi buku teks mata pelajaran sejarah bermuatan HOTS pada materi multikultur. Metode pelatihan berupa: ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, pembuatan modul ajar, dan praktik mengajar. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru sejarah dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka mampu mengembangkan inovasi pembelajaran sejarah yang mengintegrasikan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada materi multikultur di jenjang sekolah menengah atas. Materi multikultur dalam buku teks mata pelajaran sejarah dapat diimplementasikan pada konsep: kultural, nilai-nilai multikultural, konflik sosial dan budaya, ras, etnis, agama dan kepercayaan, dan identitas nasional.

Abstract

This community service aims to identify buildings and historical sites left by the Dutch government (Nederlands Nieuw Guinea) in the old city of Abepura so that the historical heritage of Abepura City's past can be preserved for future generations. The methods used in this service are (1) Field survey, conducting surveys in the field to find potential locations that are suspected to be Dutch heritage sites in Abepura; (2) Documentation: Documenting the sites discovered through collecting information and photographs; (3) Identification and reflection: Identifying the sites discovered by comparing them with historical data and information regarding Dutch heritage in the Abepura area; (5) Reporting: report the results of identifying historical sites in Abepura in the form of a written report which will be submitted to the Jayapura City Culture and Tourism Office. The results of the service found several identified Dutch heritage buildings, namely the Harapan Abepura church building, half-round houses, houses that used to live by Dutch employees, former administrative office buildings (transistors), the GKI I. S. Kijne Theological College (STT) building and housing of Lecturer at the STT complex. These buildings need to be designated as historical sites so that the history of Abepura City is maintained and preserved for future generations.

Abstract

The issues that arise, particularly the low literacy levels among History Education students at Cenderawasih University, as well as the lack of academic participation in helping communities explore the economic potential of coastal areas through historical perspectives, are the primary reasons behind the idea of the Exploration History Club. This initiative is aimed at solving these problems. Using a collaborative method between the service team, students, and the community, they seek to uncover and explore historical data from Sarawandori Village, Yapen Islands Regency, as part of the historical literacy phase, while also exploring the community's economic potential as a way to develop the area into a historical tourism site. As a result of this activity, students are able to contextually apply historical research methods effectively, which will enhance their independence in conducting historical research in the future. Additionally, the collaboration between academics and the community has successfully identified economic opportunities for the community by attempting to create a historical tourism village. The team concluded that the Exploration History Club activities in Yapen Islands Regency have had a positive impact on the development of historical literacy among the students of the History Education Program at Cenderawasih University. Students not only gained a deeper understanding of local and national history, but also improved their research and historical analysis skills. Through these activities, students were also involved in efforts to preserve local history and empower the surrounding community, helping to strengthen the relationship between academics and the local community.  Keywords: sarawandori village; historical exploration; historical literacy Abstrak Permasalahan yang muncul pada mahasiwa Papua, khususnya rendahnya tingkat literasi mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Cenderawasih, serta minimnya partisipasi akademisi dalam membantu masyarakat menggali potensi ekonomi wilayah pesisir melalui perspektif sejarah, menjadi alasan utama di balik lahirnya gagasan Eksplorastion History Club. Inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode kolaboratif antara tim pengabdi, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat, mereka berupaya mengungkap dan menggali data sejarah Kampung Sarawandori, Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen, sebagai bagian dari fase literasi sejarah, sekaligus menggali potensi ekonomi masyarakat sebagai bentuk pengembangan kawasan tersebut menjadi tempat wisata sejarah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, mahasiswa mampu menerapkan metode penelitian sejarah secara kontekstual dan efektif, sehingga akan meningkatkan kemandirian mereka dalam melakukan penelitian sejarah di masa depan. Selain itu, kolaborasi antara akademisi dan masyarakat berhasil mengidentifikasi peluang ekonomi bagi masyarakat dengan berupaya menciptakan desa wisata sejarah. Tim menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan Eksploration History Club di Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen memberikan dampak positif terhadap pengembangan literasi sejarah di kalangan mahasiswa Program Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Cenderawasih. Mahasiswa tidak hanya memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang sejarah lokal dan nasional, tetapi juga meningkatkan keterampilan penelitian dan analisis sejarah. Melalui kegiatan tersebut, mahasiswa juga dilibatkan dalam upaya melestarikan sejarah lokal dan memberdayakan masyarakat sekitar, membantu mempererat hubungan antara akademisi dan masyarakat setempat. Abstract

The teaching of history at the elementary school level aims to establish a strong foundation for character development and the cultivation of national identity among students. In the 2024 Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, historical content integrated into the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject focuses on the study of family history, local community history, and the introduction of exemplary local figures. However, in the Yapen Islands Regency, the implementation of history education at the elementary level faces various challenges, including limited resources, a curriculum that lacks contextual relevance to the local environment, and inadequate educational facilities. In response to these issues, the community service program team initiated an educational activity designed to introduce national heroes to elementary school students in the region. The implementation of the program was divided into three stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation. The preparation stage involved the detailed drafting of the project proposal, the development of educational materials, and the organization of supporting resources and tools. The execution stage focused on delivering content about the roles of national heroes and engaging students through educational puzzle games specifically designed to enhance interactive learning and assessment. The evaluation stage was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the activities and to compile a comprehensive final report. The results demonstrated a significant positive impact, both in enhancing students’ historical knowledge and in fostering the values of heroism and nationalism, thereby offering an engaging and enjoyable alternative approach to history education for elementary school students

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru sekolah dasar dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran interaktif melalui pelatihan penggunaan Wordwall di SDN Inpres Arso VI, Papua. Peserta kegiatan dipilih secara purposive, yaitu guru-guru yang aktif mengajar dan memiliki keterlibatan langsung dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan secara partisipatif melalui beberapa tahapan, dimulai dari sosialisasi program, pemaparan materi, praktik penggunaan Wordwall, hingga evaluasi bersama. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes awal dan tes akhir, serta analisis terhadap produk pembelajaran yang dihasilkan guru. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam merancang media interaktif, menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri dalam penggunaan teknologi, serta memperkaya variasi metode pembelajaran. Selain itu, guru juga dapat mengintegrasikan media digital ke dalam modul ajar sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan abad ke-21. Dengan demikian, pelatihan Wordwall terbukti memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi digital guru dan kualitas proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.
